Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! Now that the kids are back to their normal school routines, Mr. SP and I are escaping for a little warm weather getaway! We always choose travel over actual presents, so this was our Christmas gift to each other. I’m ready for some quiet, alone time together, and the chance to just sit and process everything that’s happened in the last year, but especially the last few weeks with losing my dad.
We booked the trip fairly last minute, and I’m beyond excited to see the destination and hotel property in person…follow me on Instagram or Facebook for peeks at where we land. My goal is to sleep, eat, and read, but of course I’ll snap pics to share with you!
Today we’re resuming the look back at 2017, with my favorite style posts of the year. Fashion has been a big part of this blog from the very beginning…in fact, I had an Outfit Inspiration post in my first week of blogging…but I beg you not to go back and look at it! Let’s just say I’ve learned a little in the last almost-eight years!
More new style series have popped up over the years as I prefer my fashion posts to be helpful, as well as inspirational. Along with Faves Under $50, these were some of my favorites…
Sweet & Sassy for Valentine’s Day
Cute outfits! ❤️ Hope you have fun on your trip, enjoy! 🙂

One of your readers was right-blondes do look good in red! Never thought about it before.
That 100% black ensemble (w/leopard handbag) looks so cool! Great look for everyone.
More looks to feature for 2018? Maybe more jewelry/accessory ideas & options, w/o overkill (how does one know when we are wearing too much of a good thing?)
Appropriate work looks, casual Friday @ work looks. More footwear looks w/straight or skinny jeans.
Will try to think of more. Thank you for making us all a bit more “stylin”, Ms. C!
Always love how you layer and put unexpected pieces together- you always do it so well! You’ve inspired me to start wearing plaid under sweaters and it’s been my go to all winter long!
WOW, if I knew your post today was so thorough, I would’ve called in sick just to read it all!! Your travel stories are my absolute favorite, with DRD a close second.
Hoping to see all your latest travels on IG (I think I may have a cold coming on…cough, cough!!)
What do you think of the Sock Booties…I’m still not sure….
So much good stuff all in one post! I think I’ll spend the next couple of hours going through it!!!! Love all the outfit ideas/inspiration, keep ‘em coming!
