Best of 2017 | Tips & Tricks

Hello, hello! Are you still digging out of the holiday aftermath like us? As much as I loved our Christmas decor this year, I’m itching to get it down and have my house back to normal! The urge to purge has already started, and I feel the need to minimize everything! What is it about a new year that does that to us?!

I’m taking this week to reflect back on what we accomplished and experienced in the last 12 months (did you catch yesterday’s Top Ten Reader Favorite Buys?). This year, I shared several DIYs of a different varmiety…tips on styling, beauty, and packing…as well as a few recipes to keep you guessing. Here’s a round-up of the most popular, click the link under each image for the full post.

Happy New Year Cassie! So many great posts all in one place!! I loved many of these! As for the future, I’d love to see/hear anything that gives a glimpse into your thought process as you put together an outfit or a room or a space. That sounds funny because it seems like it comes naturally to you but for those of us it doesn’t, it would be so helpful!
Because this doesn’t come naturally to me, I’d love to see more 5ways as I’ve purchased a number of items inspired by your outfits but lack the creativity to put different outfits together around them.
As for purging, I’m right with you, wanting to purge every part of my house!

Happy New Year darling friend!! Some outfits and rooms come together quicker than others, and honestly, inspiration can strike from anywhere! Color or pattern pairings I see out in real life, and that sparks an outfit or room idea! I love the 5 ways too, and hope to include more this year! xo

I love the style posts and wondered if you could add how you care for a particular clothing item? I find myself shying away from certain fabrics because I can’t seem to launder them correctly.

That’s funny bc honestly I just throw virtually everything in the washing machine!! If it’s questionable, then I put it in a mesh laundry bag, and wash on delicate cycle, then hang dry. xo
