Holiday Date Night Style + Mens Gift Guide

It really is the most wonderful time of the year! I love the happy spirit of Christmas that seems to be everywhere, but also the added chance to see family and friends all month long. Most of our parties are fairly casual, but I still like to dress things up a bit, to make them fun and festive. And while I love the chance to wear dresses, sometimes a girl wants to wear pants!

Jumpsuits are not only super fun to wear, but insanely comfortable! All dressed up without having to shave your legs! #winning

On Mr. SP: Slim Suit Jacket | Perfect Shirt | Straight Leg Jeans | Shoes
On Me: Faux-Wrap Jersey Jumpsuit | Tassel Earrings | Embellished Ankle Strap Sandal | Bracelet

I tried and loved so many (see those here and here), but ultimately decided on this one…I love the flattering wrap-style front that allows for a regular bra, the pockets…and of course the under $100 price tag! You can easily change the look with different jewelry, bags, and even add a little jacket, making it extremely versatile all year long.

Fit Tip: It runs large, so I’d recommend sizing down one. It’s also jersey knit, so it’s stretchy. It’s extra-long, so perfect for you lucky tall girls!

Lipstick in ‘Punch’ | Tassel Earrings | Bracelet

Cashmere Scarf | Clutch (40% off!) | Bracelet

You know Mr. SP always chooses comfort and casual, so it’s these jeans every time. He loves this suit jacket with both slacks and jeans, and even though it’s a slim, modern fit, it’s not constricting. Because heaven forbid something be constricting!!

And when it comes to dress shirts, he always reaches for these from the Nordstrom house brand…they’re soft and perfectly fitted, and launder well. Doesn’t he look positively swoon worthy?! I love him in a suit, but this casual style is my favorite.

I added my own dose of personality to the jumpsuit with a pink wrap, tassel earrings, and this punchy clutch (on sale!!). And can we talk about my bracelet…only $18!!! The wrap is a silky-soft cashmere blend, and would make a gorgeous gift. Plus, the best thing about gifting scarves, is they always fit!

And can you even with these embellished shoes?! They also come in the cutest pink combo that I just added to my Christmas List!

Fit Tip: If you have a wide foot, size up half in the shoes. I did for a little more room over the toes and ankle.

Can you guess what happened here?! I didn’t have time to have the jumpsuit hemmed, so we improvised with some duck tape. Note to self: Duck Tape doesn’t stick to jersey knit.

This picture cracks me up…he’s always making me laugh!

And one more thing today, I’ve had so many requests for a Mens Gift Guide, so I had Mr. SP pick a few faves…there’s even some great options for teenage boys! Find all my Gift Guides here.

Do you think this jumpsuit would work for a casual Christmas church ceremony? Can you do a post on Christmas ceremony dresses??? I’m at a loss!

I think it would absolutely work for church events…it’s very modest and appropriate. I’ve been wearing skirts with tights or sweater dresses with knee boots to church lately. xo

I really love jumpsuits – but as a very long torsoed 6’ and a bit I have yet to find one that actually fits comfortably 😠. I’d love to find one like this that would!

Mr. SP has good taste too. There’s something about men’s stuff-it’s all so handsome and gorgeous. Sigh. : )

I already have one jumpsuit that is not a knit. Looks great but difficult to get in and out of (in the restroom). Is this one fairly easy to put on and take off? I have had this in my cart for a long time but just cannot quite purchase . . . to I really want another jumpsuit that is difficult to wear.

What a lovely look! 😂 “YES” to the not having to shave your legs in an emergency! Hey, I’ve also had to add tape to my pants, and my husband always helps me! So, I totally get it! You look gorgeous as always! 🤗
