Hello, hello! Did everyone survive Cyber Monday mostly unscathed? I know I did my part in fueling the economy, but the sales were just too bananas to pass up. I did, however, make a serious dent in my Christmas shopping, and saved a bunch in the process! If you missed it, we had a huge Dressing Room Diaries post yesterday, sharing tons of great new arrivals with my honest reviews and fit tips.
Today I’m honored to be joining a group of bloggers I’ve known and adored for years… Lisa from Shine Your Light, Jennifer from Dimples & Tangles, Kris from Driven by Decor, and Pam from Simple Details. They kindly invited me to host this month’s ‘Favorite Things’ Series, so just like Oprah (minus a few 0s in the bank account, ha!) we’re each sharing our tried-and-true favorites.
My list is completely random, but when I thought long and hard of what items I love most…these are my genuine must-haves, and things I use, rely on, and wear on repeat.
one // Tassel Earrings The quickest and easiest way to jazz up an outfit is with statement earrings…and these are not only light as a feather, but come in every color of the rainbow. I’ve yet to wear them without receiving a complement, too! I’m always either wearing statement earrings, or these hoops.
two // Flannel Pajama Set Cozy is my middle name (not really, thank goodness, since Cassie Cozy sounds like another profession entirely!), but I do take my loungewear seriously. These flannel pajamas are equally warm and cute, and come in tons of fun holiday patterns. I add a new set every year and love them for Christmas morning (I wear an XS, and they’re still roomy).
three // Coziest Cardigan Again with the loungewear…you’ll honestly never find a softer or cozier cardigan. I wear this (or the hooded version) literally every night around the house, but it’s also really cute with boots and jeans. It makes a great gift, too…my mom swooned over hers last Christmas.
four // Monogrammed Tote These monogrammed totes are hands-down my favorite for everyday and travel…it zips closed, has tons of inside pockets, and fits my laptop. It’s fully customizable with 100s of patterns and stripe combinations to choose from, too. (This deer print is another favorite.)
five // Illuminating CC Cream This magic cream doubles as my foundation and sunscreen, and completely transforms the appearance of my skin! One little pump covers my entire face, smoothing my complexion, evening out the tone, and gives overall brightening. It comes in a non-illuminating formula, too, but at my age, I need all the illumination I can get! #amirightladies
six // Shower Cap Why yes, that’s a shower cap on my list of Favorite Things!! But this is no ordinary, hotel-grade shower cap! It’s lined in terrycloth, so it whisks all the moisture away from your hair while bathing or showering. Seriously, my hair looks the same before and after, so it really extends the time between washings. It packs well, too, and I take it on every trip.
seven // Sheet Sets Have you ever been on vacation and slept so well that you stripped the bed the next morning just for the bedding details?! That was me earlier this year! Turns out, we were sleeping like angels on these super affordable sheets. I’ve since ordered them for every bed in our house, and they’re everyone’s favorites. Just look at all those perfect reviews!
eight // Eye Opening Mascara I could go on and on about this amazing mascara, but instead I’ll just tell you this…the first time I wore it, two people asked me if I got eyelash extensions. It’s that good. (Read my makeup tips for looking younger here.)
nine // Sheer Renewal Cream I’m a hardcore fan of this skincare line, and over the years, it’s replaced virtually every other product I use. But this is the one I buy in bulk (for fear of running out!). It’s the best day cream I’ve ever tried…so light and absorbs quickly…and makes my skin glow.
ten // Hair Dryer Another random item, I know. But yes, I adore this hairdryer! So much, in fact, I also have the baby one for travel! It dries my hair in half the time, leaves it smooth and shiny, and is so much quieter than most dryers!
And as long as we’re talking about things on our Favorites List, how about what’s on my Wish List?! If anyone has a direct line to Santa, feel free to pass this along. K, thanks.
one  // Fleece Lined Slipper Socks Fleece lined socks with pom-poms…need I say more?!
two // NeuLash Serum I’ve been hearing about this lash-enhancing serum for months, and the results are incredible! It’s not exactly cheap, but I know people who swear their lashes are longer and thicker. Sign me up!
three // Monogrammed Crossbody Bag As much as I love a good sized tote for everyday, I prefer a cross body bag when we’re exploring new places (see all our Travels here). This one is the perfect size for the essentials, leaves me hands-free for all the eating, and I can add a gold monogram!
four // Rose Gold Watch I’ve worn the same Kate Spade watch for four years (and still love it!), but this two-tone rose gold totally caught my eye. It has a delicate touch to it, and perfect for dressier styles.
five // Compact Camera I have a fancy DSLR camera (this one), but traveled with it less and less in the past year…it’s just so cumbersome and heavy. And I always worry about packing it. This little pocket camera is a favorite amongst travelers, not just for it’s compact size, but for the stellar photos and wifi capability. The reviews pretty much say it’s impossible to take a bad pic with it! #heysanta
six // Bread Bowl I’ve wanted one of these oversized wood bowls for years…they’re so pretty styled up for holidays, or just by themselves on a table. I feel like it’s the kind of thing that stays in families for generations.
I’d love to hear what would make your Favorites List…and what’s on your Wish List this holiday! Then head over to check out the other girl’s favorites!

Haha, I LOVE shower caps. I can’t live without one. I use them regularly when I shower because I don’t wash my hair everyday (it’s healthier!) 😉

Between “Cozy Cassie” and missing a few Oprah “O’s” in your bank account, I cannot stop laughing!
That monogram tote is a great find. You can build the tote you want on their website-fun!
The J Crew cross body bag is yummy too.
Thanks for making my day, “CC”!
LOL — Happy Thursday, Sandy!! xo
Cassie, I knew your list would be chock full of things I “need”!! Those fleecy snug and warm Ugg socks are so right up my alley, I have a similar pair and wear them all winter long when I’m lounging around watching the Voice with my fam! Clearly I’m going to have to start wearing tassle earrings with them because those are too cute. Thank you so so much for joining us today, we all adore you and it was SO fun to have you guest host! XO
I’m hoping someone sees those socks on my list! 😉 Thanks for including me in your fun series, friend! Merry Christmas!
On your recommendation I started using IT CC foundation several years ago and will never go back. I wasted a lot at first because I couldn’t believe just a little would go SO far but it does. I’ve always used the regular and shied away from the illuminating because of so many reviews of there being “glitter” in it. I may see if they have a sample tube. Obviously you like it and I know you wouldn’t wear “glitter” lol Have you used both? Comparisons?
I’m so glad you like the cream!!! I don’t think I’ll ever stop using it, i’m amazed every time I put it on!! I have used both, and now stick with the illuminating. I accidentally bought that one about a year ago, and the first time I used it I was taken aback by the glimmer affect…but now I absolutely love it! The regular feels too flat now.
So many things on your list are my favorites, too! I love my shower cap, cozy cardigan and can’t get enough of Colleen Rothschild. As for the sheets, I have a set that I just ordered going on the bed today! After buying new sheets elsewhere and waking up in the middle of the night not able to sleep because of how scratchy they felt, I was seriously searching your blog at 3 am for the link to these. They feel so soft and can’t wait to sleep on them tonight.
Yay!! What’d you think??? So soft, right?!
These are great, Cassie! I had forgotten about that shower cap, now it’s on my list, too! Thanks so much for joining us today, loved your list!
It’s silly how much I love a shower cap, but it’s awesome!!! Thanks for including me in your fun series, friend!
Sheets ordered ! Yay!
Let me know what you think!!!
Your skin looks amazing. I took your advice and ordered the IT cosmetics illuminating cream, the sheer renewal and the mascara. I am 50+ and need all the help I can get. Also, thanks for sharing your tips on your insta stories yesterday. Haven’t tried the false eyelashes yet.
I hope you love the products as much as I do!! xoxo
Will be ordering the sheets for both my grown children tonight! Thank you, Cassie! Love, love your post! Waiting on more home updates! Happy Holidays!
I had to share that after having really nice eyelashes my whole life I got greedy and got eyelash extensions this summer. When they were gone – UH-OH! Not good, my natural eyelashes looked short and sparse. I tried the neulash and it’s amazing! My lashes are better than before the extensions and it didn’t take very long either. I love it.
That’s awesome to hear it works so well!!!
And a new hashtag was born. #cassiecozy
The CC cream from IT is the bomb. I use it every single morning. As a fitness professional in and out of the elements and most of the time sweaty, I can be assured that the it isn’t going to budge. Water resistance and sweat proof and totall transforms my skin and covers all the stuff! it’s FITastic!
Great picks! I love those tassel earrings and I think those make a great gift to give.
Oh gosh, not sure what to order first!! The sheets, IT CC cream, or shower cap! LOVE girlfriend recs the best, and your list is awesome! Thanks so much for joining us, we knew you’d be perfect!
Thanks for including me, Pam!! It was so fun to see everyone’s list of faves!
I have the magnetic eyelashes – and watched your video..OH MY – I have been putting them on wrong…love how you put bottom one on first! Going to try that tonight!
I hope that helps!!!! It’s frustrating until you get it, then it’s easy!
Can you tell me what color of the IT CC you use? Trying to find the right color
I used Medium xo
Cassie Cozy;)- I immediately went to my Amazon app and purchased the “angel sheets” the minute I read your post. I of course chose one day shipping and bam! On my porch the very next day, washed them, and now on my bed. All I can say is #dedinmybed. These are amazing and I cannot believe the price! My husband just lays in them and keeps saying “These were only $27?!?!” Thanks for the fabulous tip! And yes, each bed in my house will have a set.
YAY!! Thrilled to hear you loved them so much, too!
