Cheers to Friday, friends! I hope you’ve had a great week, with fun weekend plans ahead! Today is the final look in this week’s {5 Ways} to Wear Winter Brights series. Color is such a big part of my wardrobe, however, I could have continued with another week of cheery options! But that might have been overkill. #yathink But according to Punxsutawney Phil, we have another six weeks of Winter, so maybe I should have considered it! (Sidenote: I totally had to google that spelling!)
When creating the outfits for a {5 Ways} series, my goal is to give you options for a little bit of everything…work, weekend, and date night. Today’s cozy look has weekend all over it, and I’m counting down the minutes until I can change into it!
Long Tunic (t-shirt option) | Favorite Leggings | Rainboots | Similar Scarf (love this one, too!) | Similar Hat | Sunglasses
These two pieces have been in heavy rotation around here for years…the kitten cardi, and perfect leggings. The cardigan is fleecy-soft, and comes in an array of fun colors and patterns. Many of you tell me you’ve got quite the collection, as they’re kind of addicting! As for the leggings, this is the only pair I own, and I’ve been washing and drying them for years with no fading, pilling, or shrinking. Plus, they’re super opaque and the waistband is comfy without slipping.
Fit Tip: Both run true to size for me, and I’m wearing an XS in both.

Which look was your favorite of the week? What would you like to see featured in the next {5 Ways} series?! Happy weekend, lovebugs!

I love, love, loved this series!
The stripes and puffer were my fav!!!
I know this is about color, but those black slacks are my favorite thing here. I love a good wide leg pant, it just makes everything else look so classic no matter what color it is.

Agreed! When I worked corporate jobs, I reached for slacks like these every other day!
So cute and comfy! The stripes, gingham and puffer vest look is my favorite. So preppy and pretty!
Hi Cassie, I also have a pair of Hunter boots, however, they feel kind off loose. Is the buckle thingy supposed to be tighten or did I just buy them too big. It feels like i am sliding around a bit. Don’t want to force the buckle if it’s not supposed to be tightened! thanks 😀
I’ve never tried to tighten them, but I’d imagine that’s what it’s there for? My boots fit my foot comfortably, but are looser around my calves and leg. They aren’t meant to be tight or fitted, but rather to slip on over any pants you’re wearing…since ultimately they are a utility boot. Even though they are cute as pie! 😉 xo
Pretty darn cute! I love the roundup at the end. Pink is a great color on you! Perfect for transitioning to Valentine’s Day. 🙂
Can’t wait to see your closet! I have a few kitten Cardis and am finding that they are pilling. Have you had that happen?
I’m dying to show the closet, too! Just waiting for the green light! 🙂 As for the cardi, none of mine pill…and I wash and dry them regularly??!!
My favorite is definitely the pink turtleneck, black pants, leopard belt and red purse! I absolutely love that combination! The stripes/ puffer vest combo is cute too.
All looks are darling, but Day 2 is still my favorite! It’s Classic Cassie!
Love that beanie and scarf! And pretty much all of this… all of these are adorable looks! Happy Friday! 🙂

I’d love to see a Five Ways home decor post, starting with a cheetah/leopard print as you match it masterfully!!! Could feature color pairings, other patterns that it mixes with well, how to use it in your home, etc.
I love all these outfits in your winter bright series! I think I always associate winter with dark options, but I feel so inspired after seeing how well you’ve incorporated color into your own wardrobe. I love that plaid scarf and bright and cheerful beanie!
