Top Ten | July

Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? We’re enjoying our last day at the beach before heading home to all things back-to-school. Sadly, Florida has been ravaged by its worst Red Tide in a decade, but we’ve been pretty lucky and have only experienced a little bit.

I’ll share more of our trip soon, but if you haven’t seen my Instagram Story from yesterday, you might love watching me lose my mind parasailing with the kids! I was white-knuckling it so hard my hands are literally bruised. Surely that earned me serious mom points, right?!

Today we’re taking a look back at July, and the top posts of the month. It’s nice to take a moment each month and look back at the projects and content I created, and take note of what you liked most. In case you took an internet hiatus, here’s a peek of what you might have missed on Hi Sugarplum last month…

It may be Summer Break, but my kids still have a hefty amount of responsibilities around the house. We chatted about Kids Chores (and amazing vacuums!), and I absolutely loved hearing how you run things in your house. Not to mention, picked up some helpful new tips for this year!

Summer of Style series continued with the cutest ric-rac trimmed dress…styled two ways! It’s currently 40% off, too!

Speaking of sale, the entire Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Collection is now on sale!

I risked heat exhaustion to share this darling Now & Later ruffle sweater…but it was totally worth it. As are those leopard pumps!

We’ve logged our share of airline miles, and over the years I’ve perfected exactly what I need for long flights. This post shares everything I pack in my carry-on bag…including some genius sleep buds.

We talked a lot about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last month, and I shared tons of great finds. But two of my favorite buys were these undies and bra! Seriously the best!

I shared my first Amazon fashion finds, and clearly y’all were fans! So many darling things, most under $20. Let me know if you’d like to see more Amazon style finds.

And speaking of affordable, would you believe this entire look is under $100?! Yep! Dress, sandals, bag and even jewels. I love finding darling pieces at surprising prices!

We also had another round of Sugarplum Style, and everyone’s favorite, Dressing Room Diaries, featuring tons of new finds, and recent outfits. I also threw in a Faves Under $50, featuring fun new things I’ve got my eye on.

As for the most popular styles, these are the Top Ten items y’all shopped last month. Did any of them make your favorites list?

  1. Cozy Circle Cardigan
  2. Hooded Cardigan
  3. V-Neck Tee
  4. Short Sleeve Turtleneck Tunic
  5. Moccasin Flats
  6. Cotton Undies
  7. Cozy Fleece Pullover
  8. Block Heel Bootie
  9. Moto Jacket
  10. Ruffle Sleeve Tee

And finally, Little Miss and I had the best day filming a video for a local shopping center last month! I love any opportunity to share my work with her, and having these professional videos as keepsakes for this season in our lives is priceless. Plus, seeing her little face and dimpled smile on camera slays me!

(Click here to watch the video if you’re reading this post on a feed or email.)

August will be busy around here with back-to-school, Trip Reports, the last of Summer of Style…plus, we head out on a huge trip. Thank you so much for stopping by when you do…your support and comments mean the world to me!

  1. My favourite post is the one where you shared how you pack your carry on! Super useful, and I’m always interested in what other people carry around. 🙂 What a great July!

This is a truly sweet video and looks similar to a day I might have had with my daughter years ago or with my granddaughters now. Have you considered a video of you and your family helping with some charitable work (which I am certain you do from what I can gather from the blog). This could be done in a tasteful and non controversial way. You and I are truly blessed but there is so much need . . . Our church recently took a day to clean up yards and parks in our town and around the county. It meant a great deal to, those helped, even if they had the resources to clean their property.

Yes, we love volunteering as a family! My son and I are in a mother/son philanthropy group and do quite a bit together, and we volunteer on community service projects throughout the year as a family through our church. We feel so fortunate for our blessings and good health, I’m always looking for ways to give back! xo
