Top Ten | June

Happy Thursday, friends…how was your Fourth? Ours was spent celebrating with friends and family by the pool, followed by fireworks and too much candy! But now it’s only a few more days until our son comes home from camp, and I’m counting down the hours.

It’s been harder having him gone this Summer knowing we only have one year left with him. I keep thinking, ‘This is what it will be like all the time!’ That thought gives me a lump in my throat and makes me want to go pick him up immediately! But I’m so grateful he has this opportunity to learn and grow spiritually at camp, and can’t wait to hear about all he experienced.

Today we’re taking a look back at June, and the top posts of the month. It’s nice to take a moment each month and look back at the projects and content I created, and take note of what you liked most. In case you took an internet hiatus, here’s a peek of what you might have missed on Hi Sugarplum last month…

The Fourth of July might be over, but you can never have too many blue and white outfit ideas, am I right?! I created several fun combinations to inspire your daily Summer uniform in this Five on the Fourth.

Texas doesn’t play around when it comes to hot and Summer. Which means if we’re outside, we’re in the pool! I shared a full backyard tour, including this lounging pup in Our Backyard for Summer.

Running short on outfit ideas for this steamy weather? I rounded up 33 Summer Outfits for your next month of inspiration!

The best part of June was our 20th wedding anniversary, and the epic trip to Hawaii to celebrate! I’m working on full Trip Reports, but shared all my outfits, along with snapshots from Kauai…see Week 1 and Week 2 for all the fun.

Probably the most-anticipated room reveal yet…our Remodeled Kitchen!! I shared all the changes and updates, along with the crazy Before & After.

This easy pull-on skirt is the working girl’s favorite from the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Collection, but I wanted to share how versatile it is for Work and Weekend, too.

I finally got around to sharing Part 2 of our Spring Break Road Trip, with all the scoop on Big Bend National Park, along with my Packing Tips.

When your face is going to appear on the Nordstrom website, you find the best hair and make-up artist in town! Suzie Moldovan made me feel like a million bucks, plus taught me some simple, but amazing, make-up tricks. I shared them all in this 5 Make-Up Tips I Learned from a Professional post, including how-to videos and all the colors and products she used for the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum photoshoot!

We kicked off another year of the Summer of Style series, a weekly outfit to inspire your wardrobe. Obviously I’m having a moment with blue…but how can you go wrong with the universally-flattering color?! See them all here. (Pssst, most of them are on super sale!)

We also had another round of Sugarplum Style, and everyone’s favorite, Dressing Room Diaries, featuring tons of new finds, and recent outfits. I also threw in a Faves Under $50, featuring fun new things I’ve got my eye on.

Scalloped Camisole | White Jeans | Sandals | Flower Earrings
