Have you checked out the #gibsonxhisugarplum tag on Instagram? It’s where so many of you have been posting outfits featuring your favorite GXHSP pieces. I love seeing how you mix them up in your wardrobe!
I’ve also been sharing new combinations on my Instagram Story, now that I’m actually able to wear the Collection in real life! I’ve had quite a few requests to show more styling options for the Monterrey Easy Pull-On Skirt, so today I’ve got a quick Day to Night for you!
The skirt is a woven material that hangs beautifully and is incredibly versatile. It could easily be paired with a cardigan or blazer for the office, and as you’ll see today, styled more casually for day, and sassed up for a night out.
It has a wide, elastic waistband that keeps it comfortable, and a drawstring for a custom fit. It’s also fully-lined and has pockets…such great quality for under $50! I was thrilled we were able to include such a classic wardrobe staple in the Collection.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a regular XS and falls an inch or so above my knees. Petite sizing is available and offers a shorter length.Â

I paired it with the Kahala Tie Sleeve Top, probably the softest tee in my closet! It seriously feels like my favorite pajamas…thick, modal cotton, and with the cutest ruffle sleeve and tie accent.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a petite XS for a closer fit and shorter sleeves, but regular XS is a fun, relaxed fit.

Of course, my go-to wedges are making another appearance. See how often I wear them in yesterday’s Summer of Style post.

For a sassier night out look, I paired the pull-on skirt with the Monterosso Camisole in palm print. It has a side tie option, but I just left it untied, and tucked it in the skirt. Add some bold jewels and strappy shoes, and you’re set for date night.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS in the camisole, it has adjustable straps for custom fit, but does run a little big, so you may want to consider sizing down if you’re not busty.

The camisole is a great year-round piece, and would look darling layered under a jacket in cooler months, too. Do you have a little black skirt in your closet? It’s an incredibly versatile piece for so many occasions. Happy almost-weekend, lovebugs! See you back here tomorrow for a peek at our Hawaiin adventure so far!
Oh my, one of the cutest skirts ever! I love that it’s so simple and comfy-looking. It’s something I’d wear too! 🙂
