Happy Monday, friends, and welcome back to a new week! Our darling Little Miss turns 16 (!!!) this week, so it’s a fun one over here. We’re keeping the celebrations low-key, but still showering her with love. I’m so excited for her, I’m not even anxious about the new driver stuff. Well, maybe a little, ha!
Today we’re turning our attention to decor, specifically at The Sugar Shack! You may remember I shared our plans for the upstairs Lounge/Game Room HERE, and we’ve slowly been bringing them to life.
My goal is to make the room comfy, sturdy, and not break the bank, which has been easy to do thanks to amazing and affordable finds from The Home Depot! And even better, everything shipped fast and free!
The room has a large wall with no doors or windows… perfect for an oversized TV, but also tricky to fill! Rather than search for one large piece (hello, expensive!), we used two affordable consoles side-by-side. I love the look, not to mention the added storage!
You can never have too many baskets, and this sturdy set comes in a trio! You can nest them together when not in use, or split them up for everything from plants and games, to throw blankets and pillows.
We added this compact desk under the window for a little workspace… I love working from here and gazing out at the water. The assembly on this one was super quick and simple, and the drawers slide easily.
We’ve had so much fun making this retreat our home, and I’m always counting down the days until we’re back. Up next for the Game Room is styling the sectional sofa and window treatments, and then it’s the fun stuff… art! The Home Depot has tons of my favorite Kate & Laurel affordable framed art HERE! It’s pretty much all we’ve used at The Sugar Shack!
If you’re sprucing up spaces around the house, check out The Home Depot and their big Spring Refresh Savings, with up to 25% off select furniture, decor, and kitchen essentials! They offer literally 1000s of styles, and it’s so easy to ship free to your local store or directly to your house.
