Hello, hello, friends! We’re wrapping our final day of the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum photoshoot today, and it’s been such a dream to shoot it at The Sugar Shack! It’s been the perfect backdrop for our fun, new Summer Collection (coming next month!).
Can you believe this is our ninth Collection!? Like, what?! The pieces are absolutely divine, and not only can I not wait to share them, but I can’t wait to wear them!
Today is a fun post for my decor-loving friends, because we finished the upstairs bathrooms at The Sugar Shack! We kept them white and bright with a pop of color, but even better… kept them under budget thanks to some amazing finds from The Home Depot!
The lakehouse is technically a one-and-a-half story, with the top floor only spanning half the width of the main story. Upstairs houses two bedrooms with mirroring bathrooms, plus a small den space. We refer to them as the ‘girls room’ and ‘boys bunk room,’ but kept the decor pretty gender-neutral on both sides.
I adore how both bathrooms turned out, but the blue and green combo of the ‘boys bunk bath’ might be my favorite!
The bathrooms are long and narrow, with a single vanity. I love how bright and airy it is, plus the white is easy to clean after heavy traffic! Of course I couldn’t keep it void of all color, so we chose a pop of color on the floor and in the fun art.

Can you believe this art is from The Home Depot?! Frame and all! I’m obsessed with their full selection and can’t get over the prices… especially considering the quality and size of the pieces!
We considered black cabinet hardware to coordinate with the sink and shower fixture, but I love mixing metals, so ultimately chose the soft, brushed brass.
The bathrooms are long and narrow, so we used runners as the mats. This striped cutie was another surprise Home Depot find!! It really made it so easy to be able to design and shop the space all from a single spot.
The window placement throws the symmetry off a bit, so we chose a large mirror to fill the rest of the wall space, and centered it and the sconce on the wall, rather than over the sink.
The ‘girls bathroom’ is a mirror of the ‘boys bunk bath,’ so we chose similar finishes for both ease and consistency. I don’t know how long the all-white will stay, but I do love it for now!

We used all the same fixtures and hardware for this bathroom, but changed it up with a different color tile and artwork.
Another one of those unbelievable The Home Depot art finds! I’m completely obsessed with this one!!
We chose a woven jute rug for this space to give it a little warmth and texture. The Home Depot has tons of jute options in so many sizes (and all really affordable!).
Yep, more The Home Depot art! This one is a great, large size, and under $70!! Something tells me these won’t be the last ones I use at The Sugar Shack!
These spaces make me so happy, and I can’t wait to see them packed with friends and family! We’re getting close to finishing the girls and boy’s bunk bedrooms, so stay tuned for more updates!
