Sugarplum Christmas | 2017 Home Tour

Darling friends, I can not thank you enough for your kind, thoughtful and generous comments to me and my family. I’ve read every message, email and text, and they have lifted me up in a way I can’t adequately express. I am so grateful for this blogging community and your friendship.

I had quite a bit of content already created for you, and several commitments and deadlines, so I’m going to move forward with sharing it in the next couple of weeks. But I’ll be stepping back some behind the scenes, and spending more time with family, so forgive me if it takes longer than usual for a response.

If I could, I’d have every single one of you over for a hot chocolate (or hot toddy!) and some girl time, but since Mr. SP might find that awkward, I’d like to virtually welcome you to Christmas in our home! Iโ€™ve been sharing bits and pieces of our house decked-out for the holiday over the last few weeks, but today Iโ€™ve got it all in one spotโ€ฆplus the other rooms you havenโ€™t seen yet!

Iโ€™ll let the overload of photos do most of the talkingโ€ฆso pour yourself some cocoa, spike it if your boss isnโ€™t looking, and poke around our houseโ€ฆI promise I wonโ€™t report you as a stalker.ย Iโ€™ve tried to link as many items below each photo as possible, but let me know in the comments if I overlooked something you want more details on.

Your home is so well decked out for the festive season! I especially love the Christmassy front porch and the Christmas tree area in the living room. OH, and your dining room! It looks like a world-class restaurant or something! ๐Ÿ™‚

Kudos for working so hard to refocus and see all the beauty and love of the season… your home is stunning and I pray that it is a balm to your soul as you grieve. Surrounding yourself with love will help more than anything we, as your readers/friends, can offer. Thank you for sharing so much of your world with us. You are a bright, beautiful light that makes everything seem better… I know that your sunny outlook and posts helped me immensely while I have been going through the loss of my parents this year. Never doubt that you have had a positive effect on the world with this blog… wishing you much love, joy, and peace for the coming year. Thank you for being YOU!

Your house looks AMAZING! So festive and cozy! And I don’t know how you managed to adopt pups that match your decor. But you did. Well done.

Your Holiday decor is over the top and I love every aspect of it.
There is no tried and true recipe for grief so I urge you to take your time to grieve as long as you need. Rushing it is never a good thing. It’s been nearly 20 years since my father died and at times the grief is as raw as it was at his funeral. Remember this: our fathers were the first men we ever loved, so take your time.
Prayers and Christmas Blessings to you and your family.

Thanks for the good cheer you share through your blog. Have said this before, but you are close in age to my oldest son and it draws me into your world. We see him and his family about every two to three months (they live about a dayโ€™s drive away) and are close to us in spirit, but still love to see what their age mates are up to everyday. The photos are fine. You have one of the best and clearest written blogs around. I follow about 4 fashion and sewing and craft blogs and of the 4 all have lost a parent in the past year! Take time to recover but the blog of course has a healing touch as well.

Wow, Cristina, what a completely rude comment! I’m going to give you a pass and assume that you missed Cassie’s post yesterday about her father passing away over the weekend. Regardless, the fact that you came to her blog and intentionally took the time to criticize her wallpaper speaks volumes about your manners or rather lack thereof. Totally tasteless!!

Beautiful Cassie. Thinking of you and yours this Christmas season. It is the first without my sweet gem of a MIL, so I know how difficult it can be. Blessings to you all.
