Our Old House | Before & After, Part 2

Okay, I’m totally blushing from your comments yesterday to our House Tour! The house was definitely a labor of love, and the changes took place slowly over almost-eight years. That made leaving extra hard, but I’m so excited for the new owners to make it their own! Too bad they aren’t influencers and I could secretly follow along, ha!

Yesterday was all about the downstairs… kitchen, dining room, family room, primary bedroom and more (see it HERE), so today we’re headed upstairs! The renovations were mostly cosmetic, but we still made them ‘us.’

And that, friends, is our beloved home on Rosemont Drive. She was a good house, and we’ll remember her always. I am so excited for the change, and anxious about making this new house feel like our home. But mostly, I’m just so grateful to continue the next chapter of our family’s story here. I hope you’ll follow along for the ride!

Sending you all much love and gratitude. xo. C.

What an amazing evolution! It is a gorgeous home and the new family is very lucky to have found it. I love all your World Market finds – I grew up in the SF Bay Area when WM was called Cost Plus and I still call it that sometimes, ha! It’s still one of my favorite shops for unique finds.

Really going to miss your old house. Too many fine details to mention. I do notice how using a satin, semi-gloss, or even gloss paint finish really catches the light and brightens everything around it up-like the white cabinetry in the upstairs bonus room. So many rooms/details I am so going to miss, and I don’t even live there. Bwaaaaaa! -(crying) ha,ha.
Let me know when the Cassie’s Moving House Sale begins, I’ll be the first in line. : ) xoxo.

Oh Cassie, I hope your daughter truly knows how much you love her. Your home was absolutely beautiful/stylish but comfortable at the same time. I am excited to see the progress on the new family home, as I was on the Lake House (which I could live there!!). More memories are waiting❤

You’ve been in the old house 8 years? I started following you shortly before you moved. I remember you were scrambling because you had a magazine photo shoot scheduled just about the time you moved. Somehow you made that happen. It will be fun watching you make your new home your own, with lots of color and intentional details. I love Kristen’s work, excited to see the two of you work together again.
How you left that boutique sized closet I’ll never know…

Love all the details and customizations you put in, it’s a beautiful home! Can’t wait to see what you do with the new house! Are you planning to do it yourself or work with a designer? If so I’d love to see a post on how to collaborate that process.

Love your taste in clothing and home decor! I searched the sources for the upstairs living room but see that a colorful painting over the console is not listed. Would you please share source? Keeping fingers crossed it’s still in stock. Excited to see you make your new home your nest!
