Hello from the land of harried packing and prepping!! We leave later tonight for our two week adventure with Princess Cruises, and of course I’m still running around like a crazed chicken getting ready.
It’s chilly where we’re headed, but we’ve been living with 95-degree days for so long, that I’ve forgotten what 60-degrees feels like…and am struggling to pack! Which leads to massive overpacking. But one of the great things about cruising, is you only unpack once. So it doesn’t matter if I have one bag or 20! #kiddingkindof
So while I struggle to pack for Fall, today I’m sharing the last bit of Summer with you!
My intent with style posts is to inspire you, and share ways to stretch your wardrobe, while thoughtfully adding new things. You’ve probably noticed that the majority of my style posts involve multiple styling options…but sometimes a girl just wants a simple outfit idea!
Especially in Summer, when the pace is slower, and style becomes a little simpler and more minimal. (At least in the Texas heat it does!) So my Summer of Style series was just that…a weekly outfit to (hopefully) inspire your Summer wardrobe! They’re easy-to-recreate combinations covering all aspects of your life…work, weekend, date night, and lazy pool/beach days.
In case you missed any, or you want to Pin them for next year (do you follow my Pinterest Style board?)…here’s the Summer of Style at a glance. Find all the details for each linked under the pictures.
I hope you enjoyed this series as much as I did creating it! So tell me, do you love the simple outfit inspirations like this series, or prefer the ones with multiple styling options (like these and these)? Are you excited for Fall, or not ready to let Summer go?
End-of-season is a great time to find amazing pieces on super sale for next year. In fact, eBay is having a huge end of Summer sale, with 70% off tons of items in Home, Garden & Fashion. (Check this post for tips for finding the best, new deals on eBay.)
But if Fall is on your mind, I found this North Face and this one for a steal! And how cute is this plaid flannel for $22?!

Loved looking through your cheery summer looks! The bright colours you’re wearing makes me feel so sad that summer’s ending soon! 🙁

I’m so ready for fall and cooler, but you’re bright and happy clothes make it okay that summer is lasting a bit longer. 😉
I enjoyed all of your summer styles, and am ready for fall. Most of all, I’m excited for you as you embark on your Princess Cruise and can’t wait to see your trip/cruise report!
My mind as turned to fall clothes as the nights get cooler. I won’t be buying anymore summer clothes therefore I prefer the transitional looks. What are the trends? What’s new for fall this year? How to wear clothes two ways.
Have fun on your cruise! I guess I missed where you are cruising this time. I’m ready to go on another, so await your details.
