Happy Monday, friends, and welcome back to a new week. We escaped to the lake for the weekend, and the change of scenery worked wonders for our moods and attitudes! (My stepmom has a home there and generously let us use it for a few days.)
It’s incredibly remote and peaceful, and even though we’re no longer under shelter-in-place, we still chose not to venture out beyond the house. Even the kids opted for take-out over dining in a restaurant, which is interesting considering how badly they’ve wanted to ‘escape’ for the last 7 weeks!
It’s crazy how quickly social-distancing became a ‘normal’ feeling, and going back to ‘old’ ways feels uncomfortable now. I think we’ll ease into the newfound freedom slowly, making sure it’s the right choice. How about you…are things opening up where you are? How do you feel about it?

Just remember that these photos were taken for the blog, so I put myself together a little bit, ha! And Little Miss and I DIYed the distressed sweatshirt by winging it. I ordered another one to do it again, but it is still in transit! xo, Cassie
