Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Happy hump day, friends!! I can’t decide if this week is flying by or creeping along… honestly, most of the time I don’t even know what day it is! But according to my calendar, Mother’s Day is just 10 short days away!!

I’m not sure if I’ll be able to see Mama Sugarplum this year, so I’ve been scouring the internet in search of the best gift ideas! Not only creative, unique things I know all the mamas will love, but also things that will actually arrive in time. Plus, I’ve worked closely with several of them to secure exclusive discounts just for YOU!

I’m so excited to share my Mother’s Day gift guide, perfect for all the gals in your life… and arriving in time to celebrate May 10!

one // Wine Subscription Box // I’m pretty sure the VineOh Wine Subscription is Mama Sugarplum’s favorite gift I’ve ever given her! In fact, she’s been doing some pretty strong hinting at receiving it again this year! It really is a can’t-miss gift for the wine-lovers in your life! Each box contains two full-sized bottles of wine (you choose the type), along with 5-6 full-sized products ranging from makeup and at-home spa treatments, to jewelry and sweets. (Over $160 value!)

And the whole thing arrives in a fun gift box shipped directly to their doorstep! The folks at VineOh know I’m such a fan, they gave me an exclusive code just for YOU! Use code ‘CASSIE5‘ at checkout to save $5 on one-time gift boxes, or sign up for a subscription and code ‘CASSIE‘ gets you a free third bottle of wine for life! The codes are unlimited, so use it for as many gifts as you’d like!

two // Colleen Rothschild Tahitian Monoi Collection // Colleen’s newest product, this limited-edition set includes everything Mom needs for a luxurious spa experience at home. This bundle comes with a body wash, scrub, body butter and loofah, a $110 value for $79! To celebrate Mom, they’re also offering huge discounts on some of the best sellers, like the Jumbo Cleansing Balm and Complete Eye Cream (both must-haves for Mama Sugarplum!). Their Discovery Kit is also back in stock, which is a great way to try out their best sellers without committing the full size! Find all the deals HERE, and use code SUGARPLUM20 on everything else!

three // Virtual FlyBrow Appointment // Bring the magic of professional makeup and brow artist, Suzie Moldavon, to your home! My darling and talented friend, and the master behind all the hair and makeup of our Gibson x Hi Sugarplum shoots, is now offering virtual brow and makeup lessons!

You’ll submit a series of photos, and Suzie will create your custom ‘brow map’ showing you exactly where to pencil and fill your brows. Then you’ll hop on a ZOOM call for a personal tutorial where she walks you through step-by-step how to do them yourself! Having the right brows for your face is a game-changer… trust me!

And because she’s the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet, Suzie is offering Hi Sugarplum readers 10% off these limited time services with code SUGARPLUM through May 10. I can’t think of a more fun and helpful gift than the gift of gorgeous brows!

four // Infuser Bottle // Mom can take her tea on the go with this handy infusion bottle! The stainless steel net holds loose leaves inside the bottle, and makes for easy clean-up, too!

five // Graphic Tee // This darling graphic tee has a special nod to mom, and is cute on its own or layered under jackets and blazers year-round. It even comes in child’s size HERE, on sale!

six // Digital Photo Frame // My sister gifted this digital frame to us last year, and it’s one of our favorite things! Photos are easy to upload, and even share with others who have the frame. It’s the perfect way to stay up-to-date and connected! We keep ours on the kitchen counter, and I find myself pausing several times a day and watching the different images pop up.

seven // Heart Necklace // Kendra Scott is pretty much a one-stop shop for all your Mother’s Day gifts! This dainty heart pendant is a can’t miss for any of the gals on your list (or in my case… I gifted it to myself!). Plus, save 20% with code SUGARPLUM20! That makes it under $40!

eight // Coffee Maker // Gift mom with her very own barista! One of my very favorite kitchen appliances, this machine is sure to be a hit! I rarely get takeout coffee anymore, because what I can brew at home is better! This makes regular coffee, cappuccinos, and lattes, all with regular K-cups! Super easy to use and keep clean, too.

nine // Fresh Flowers // Who doesn’t love a bunch of fresh flowers?! These are seriously gorgeous and are sure to please.

ten // Throw Blanket // This plush throw finds its way into all my gift guides for good reason! It is SO soft, comes in several neutral colors, and the price is right! Mama Sugarplum has several scattered all over her house.

eleven // Custom Reel Viewer // Bring on the nostalgia! Mom will love her very own, customizable view master! Simply submit your favorite photo memories, and they’ll turn into a made-to-order reel.

twelve // Picnic Basket Set // If there were ever a time to enjoy a nice family picnic, it’s now! This cute picnic set comes with four complete place settings, a cooler compartment, even a waterproof blanket! Who says Mother’s Day brunch can’t be at the park this year?

thirteen // Herb Garden // Let mom try out her green thumb with this fun herb growing kit! For under $30, she can start her very own herbal tea garden.

fourteen // Steam Mop // Remember the old rule about not gifting women kitchen and home appliances? That no longer applies. At least for me, because this mop is at the top of my Mom’s Day Wish List! It uses only water to remove dirt and germs from all hard floor surfaces! And then you just throw the dirty pad into the wash! The reviews are incredible and have me more excited than I should admit.

fifteen // Neck Wrap // All the tension from sitting in front of a computer screen can do a number on your neck and shoulders. This heating pad relieves tight muscles, migraine pain, arthritis aches… even menstrual cramps and back pain! Sign me up!

sixteen // Foot Massager // I showed this on Instagram Stories a few weeks ago, and it’s been a big hit! A cousin to the neck massager we can’t get enough of, this thing targets your feet and does not mess around! In fact, Little Miss says it’s too strong for her! I start and end my day with a foot massage now, and I instantly feel stress melt away.

And if Mr. Sugarplum happens to catch this post, I wouldn’t be mad about these sneakers (I mean… so cute!) and this sweet little necklace finding their way to my Mom’s Day breakfast-in-bed spread! I mean, especially considering I’ve cooked 1087 meals in the last six weeks! #amIright?!

What are you gifting this Mother’s Day to the special women in your life? Don’t forget about Teacher Appreciation, too… these make great gifts for so many women that make our worlds go round.

Thanks for the Kendra Scott code and the great idea! I saved over $30 on my order! I was having a hard time coming up with ideas…and not being able to shop in stores it was making it even harder…this was great as I bought my mother and MIL both an ARI heart necklace and matching ARI heart huggie earrings (separate color for each mom)! Yeah, that’s done and now I can quit obsessing about finding the perfect gift! HA!

Thank you for these ideas, Cassie! The neck massager has older reviews that say you won’t like it if you like gentle massages. The description says there is an intensity button with 3 speeds, so maybe they fixed that. What do you think?

Hi Renae! The neck massager can definitely pack a punch if you want to really work out the kinks! The gentlest setting would probably be just fine for people who like less pressure though! xo, Cassie

I sure hope you are able to see Mama Sugarplum and hug her!!! Especially since Texas has opened a bit. Perhaps, Mama Sugarplum needs that frame and you and your sisters can upload pictures to it randomly from home to surprise her with new pictures weekly or monthly– as your schedules allow. Hope she is well and look forward to seeing her on the blog soon.

I hope so too, Mimi! But her health is what’s most important, so we might need to wait a bit longer!

I just ordered the foot massager! I’m more Mama SP’s age (a little older), and decided it might be a while before I really need to go into a nail salon. For some lucky reason I remembered you talking about one and was able to find the post with ease! Thank goodness for strange memory!

One quick question for you, though. I found the post on my iPad, but then I remembered you mentioning you only “get credit” for sales from Amazon if purchased from a computer vs. mobile? Is that correct… or is my strange memory wrong? 😉 I enjoy your blog so much, I want you to get recognition for all the sales that are generated from your recommendations!

You’re so sweet to ask!! I’m pretty sure they’ve fixed things so that we get credit for sales when opened in the app! the more important thing is to complete the purchase within the same time frame as clicking the link…not a few days later. But don’t worry too much about it, I’m mostly just thrilled when you find something new you love! xo. C
