But today we’re talking beauty and skincare… two of my favorite topics these days! My makeup routine has definitely become more minimal as this quarantine goes on, but thanks to the extra time at home, my skincare routine has ramped up! I’m using this time as an opportunity to pamper my skin with lots of masks, hydration, and the chance to breathe without daily makeup.

Colleen Rothchild and Olaplex dominate my daily routine now, and my skin and hair are looking so much better because of it! I recently added Vitamin C Treatment and her new Glycolic Acid Peel Pads, and LOVE them both!! Okay, now that my skin is nourished, renewed and hydrated… let’s talk makeup. My daily routine has always been simple, especially so now that we don’t leave the house! Some days I’m tempted to wear no makeup at all (and believe me, I have those days, too!), but I’ve discovered I’m more productive and feel more like myself with just a few key products.
I start with my morning skincare routine… and the combo of Vitamin C Treatment and Sheer Renewal Cream gives my skin a dewy glow (literally… they have illuminating properties)! On days I go outside, I add NARS Tinted Moisturizer for more coverage and SPF protection.
The rest is just a quick way to accent my eyes (I look so tired without it!), and a little color for my lips.

Have you tried the cocoa cleansing balm? It seems like the same purpose as the normal cleansing balm but I’m curious about the smell and if it works as well…
Hi Sarah! The cocoa version smells AMAZING and has little exfoliating beads in it. If you like the original cleansing balm, I do recommend trying to Cocoa Balm. xo, Cassie
Do you know the difference (or have a preference) between the Original Tula eye balm and the Rose Glow Tula eye balm?

Would love a longer conversation about some of these skin care products sometime. I pat on my saline eye rinse solution after a serum or retinol, as the salt water really plumbs up skin. Any water probably would do it.
And please SP, make sure Little Miss wears SPF50 outdoors, her skin is awesome!!!

I wish I could go completely makeup free but since I turned 31 (I’m 33 now) I’ve had more skin issues than ever before 😭 I barely ever had acne before and then I developed so much after 31. Cleared it out when I finally went to a derm a couple months ago with a cream she prescribed (no acne in sight now) but I was left with acne scaring (even if I barely touched my face during breakouts). So now I have all this redness and blotchiness and I can’t seem to be able to get rid of it. Next steps are shaving my face to see if that takes off a layer of yuk and micro-needling to see if the scaring goes down…….if that doesn’t work, I’ll have to save money for laser treatment 😩

Hi Amy! I use the cloth 3-4 times before adding it to the wash! If I wore a lot of makeup several days in a row, it could be more frequent… and same goes for not wearing that much… it could be less. Hope that helps! xo, Cassie

Hi Amber! My kids both use the CR Balancing Gel Cleanser! Little Miss has super sensitive skin and it works for her. I can’t say for sure what “is okay” for kids since I’m not a dermatologist, but we’ve had good luck with the cleanser! xo, C
