Happy, happy October, friends! I mean, October already?! Is it me, or has this year flown? I guess that just means we’re having all kinds of fun, right!?

Some weeks days it seems I’m doing nothing but chasing a To Do List, or playing catch-up, so it’s nice to take a moment each month and look back at the projects and content I managed to create. With the return of school and travel, this month was heavy on the style posts, but I’ve been working feverishly on a huge home project!

I’ll tell you all about it later this week, but it may or may not rhyme with Pun Tune Wallenge. Okay, that’s not a word, but I can’t think of anything that rhymes with challenge. Either way, it’s super exciting!! But today I’m taking a look back at the top posts of September, you know, in case you took an internet hiatus.

These bootcut jeans have quickly climbed to the top of my favorites list. Not just because they are insanely flattering and leg-lengthening, but because they are so comfortable and so easy to transition from Work to Weekend.

We are finally seeing hints of Fall around here, but we still have our toasty days. This post shared my tips for transitioning your favorite Summer dress for Now & Later.

I did a little Fall shushing around the house, which mostly involved food. Because #duh. It was fun seeing a lot of our house in a single post though!
We saw the tower in Pisa, and it was indeed leaning.

I’ve been getting so many requests for workwear styles, so I shared this punchy skirt two ways in the latest Work It post.
This month’s {5 Ways} was based around white jeans…and specifically how to wear them after Labor Day. #gasp #thehorror I gave several ways of styling them for the coming season. Well, five ways, to be exact.
Does doing something two years in a row make it an annual event? Either way, I think we need to make Summer trips to Anna Maria Island annual. I shared our second annual family vacation to the magical little island, including where we stayed, ate & played.
Lucca might be the loveliest little town in Italy. It’s certainly like a fairytale.
I couldn’t love this Little Miss more, and I loved our special time together at her outdoor learning camp.

Last month also had another round of Sugarplum Style, and everyone’s favorite, Dressing Room Diaries, featuring tons of new finds, and recent outfits. I also threw in a couple of quick Five Under $50 and Ramblings, featuring fun new things I’ve got my eye on.

(Sidenote: I also updated my Sugarplum Picks to reflect what I’m loving and wearing these days. You can check it out anytime using the shopping bag graphic in the sidebar.)

October is sure to be another fun one, with a trip to New Mexico and more Fall style inspiration. Oh, and one ginormous home makeover project (more details on that later this week!! #eeek) Thank you so much for stopping by when you do…your support and comments mean the world to me!

If you even try to tell me today marks the beginning of October…I’ll call you a big fat liar! There’s just no way! Is there?! You’re telling me Thanksgiving is next month, and Christmas is in 86 days?!? But we’re still swimming in the pool, and I haven’t seen Starbucks new Fall cups…let alone worn a plaid scarf! (By the way, I just got this one and this one, and oh yes ma’am…they are Fall-licious!)

Well, with time flying the way it is, it must mean we’re having fun! September was certainly a good time. In case you spent the month locked-up at that Target that never seems to have cell service, here’s the top posts of the month.

‘Babygirl’ is officially ‘Little Miss’. Turning 9 does that, apparently. So we’re giving her a room worthy of her happy, colorful, quirky personality…starting with Before shots & the design plan.

The Rule of Three is a real thing, and it will help you effortlessly build a stylish outfit every time.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten September

We ushered in the new season with subtle touches of Fall around the house.

Booties. We love them, need them, have to have them. But who wants to wait for the temps to drop 30-degrees so we can wear them?! I shared some fun Now & Later looks with a cute new pair.

Sure you can transition to Fall by throwing on jeans, boots, and a scarf. Then promptly have a heat stroke. How about {5 Ways} to Transition to Early Fall. You know, when it’s October, but still 90-degrees.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten September

Last month I shared the big Kitchen Remodel Reveal. Now it’s all the Before & Afters, along with a breakdown of exactly what we did & budget sources for everything!

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten September

We closed down Summer with a family trip to the quaintest, idyllic little island.

The island may be quant, but you still want to look chic! Here’s my tips for staying, looking & easily dressing stylish on beach vacations. White-girl hops not included.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten September

Mr. SP and I are getting married! No wait, that’s not our engagement shoot. We actually had a fun night out at one of our favorite Dallas Eats for the latest {Date Night Style}.

It was a stylish whirlwind of a day…my recap of the BH&G Stylemaker Event in NYC.

We also had another round of Sugarplum Style, and everyone’s favorites, Look for Less and Dressing Room Diaries. All of which now have nifty little graphics in the sidebar, so you can catch up on them anytime. Oh yeah, I’m also cruising the Carribean with HGTV and the Property Brothers…you can come, too!
October is lining up to be a busy one already, with a huge project starting (and almost concluding) in the same month! #sendwine I can’t officially tell you yet, but it may rhyme with Pun Shroom Ballenge. Any guesses? What was your favorite post of the month? Happy almost Friday, lovebugs!

Hey there, October! I have no idea how September came and went so quickly…but it was a great month, full of fun projects and exciting opportunities. If you’re new around here, or you tend to hibernate for weeks at a time, I like to re-cap my favorite posts of the month for easy catch-up.

Hi Sugarplum | {Top Ten} September
We returned from a 10-day vacation on a reeeeeally rustic island…I summed up 25 Things I Learned, and gave a tour of the stunning home we rented.
If you’re like me, you forget how to dress every time the season changes. I made it simple by giving my formula for Transitioning Your Closet for Fall. And for more everyday style options, check out {Vol. 4} of Sugarplum Style.
Git in mah belly, Homemade Strawberry Granola!
Hi Sugarplum | {Top Ten} September

Do you struggle with loving pattern-mixing, but afraid to try it for yourself? Pinstripes & Floral gave some tips for taking baby steps to bolder outfits.

Hi Sugarplum | {Top Ten} September

Love the Ikea Ribba frames, but not the mats? Here’s a cool hack for you, along with a source for extra-large prints.
Babygirl and I teamed up to show off the new Boden and Mini Boden lines, in a Back to School shoot. How much do I want her pants!!??
Yes ma’am I added Pom Poms to my pillow. (And no, it’s not David Hicks ‘La Florentina’!)

Hi Sugarplum | {Top Ten} September

The {5 Ways} posts are quickly becoming my favorite…I love showing you guys how versatile pieces can be. This month I showed five looks for this fun striped dress and casual looks for a little black dress.
And then I coordinated my outfit with a little Succulent Pot (not really, that’s just coincidental photo placement).

Hi Sugarplum | {Top Ten} September

I also had the great pleasure of curating my own Joss & Main event, Designed to Delight….and made a video about blogging! Whew!! Now I need a week-long hibernation! I can’t thank you enough for your support, encouragement and fun comments…whether this is your first stop here, or you’re a daily reader, I really appreciate you! #grouphug
