Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! Do you have any fun plans? We, of course, have literally no plans. I am hoping to make it to the lake for at least a change of scenery! So far this week I’ve watched ‘Emily in Paris‘ (cheesy, but cute) and ‘Maid’ (sweet and sad), and read ‘Our Woman in Moscow’ (good spy thriller). What should I put next on my watch or book list?
I’ve been recapping the most popular posts of last year… and there were a lot of them (over 200!). But what made 2021 so unbelievably special was you… and the opportunities that came from your support, readership, comments, and genuine enthusiasm and encouragement.
So far I’ve shared Best of Style, Best of Beauty, and Best of Decor, and today we’re finishing up with the Best of the Rest! Hi Sugarplum has never been about just one topic, and I love that you indulge my love of all things style, decor, travel, fitness, wellness, and more! That’s the great thing about getting older, our interests and time evolve and grow, too.
So to wrap up our look back, here are your top posts in all the topics in between!

It’s hard to believe another year has gone by, and this year we’ll mark 12 years of Hi Sugarplum! TWELVE!? I remember starting out wondering if I’d have enough ideas to make it 12 days, and here we are 12 years later with over 200 posts a year! And you know what?! It feels like my ideas are just getting started!!
I wake up excited every day because of you, darling friends! The opportunity to be a resource in your busy life, spread a little joy, or give you a bit of inspiration is what motivates me. And I know without your support, enthusiasm, kindness, and interactions, there would be no Hi Sugarplum. I can’t thank you enough for popping in every day, week, month, or leap year… whenever it is, I’m thrilled you stopped by! Even the lurkers… I know you’re there!
I’m beyond humbled by your friendship, support, and kind words. I can’t thank you enough for sharing in our joys, supporting me through the sorrows, and celebrating all the silly in-between. Your encouragement makes me excited to continue creating and sharing what I love so much. I pray 2022 is your best yet, lovebugs!
These (great) posts today! Luv your book/movie reviews too, very helpful.
Ok, let’s get down to business- Book&N’flx-“The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society”- beautiful, historical WWII story set on a British Isle. Based on true story, I think. You will like it!
More N’flx- “Somebody Feed Phil”-travel. “Comedians in Cars getting Coffee.” and oh, my don’t forget “My Octopus Teacher” as well.
I could easily watch all these again, they are that good!
Oh thank you for these great recs, Sandy!!! xoxo, C
So fun to read the best of lists… I had to laugh at your opening paragraph – I just finished “Our Woman in Moscow” and am also watching both “Emily in Paris” and “Maid”. I just started reading “The Things We Cannot Say”. I’ll be curious what your next book is. And we’ve been watching Brooklyn 99 as a family. (All 4 of us had Covid over Christmas and now it’s very cold in MN, so lots of time to watch TV!)
Aha, great minds think alike, Kellie! I hope your family has recovered well from Covid… it’s no joke!! xoxo, C
Ohhhhh noooooo….am I a lurker?? I have read HSP for years…most of my Bday presents and Christmas and Anytime presents come from your recommendations! I am terrible at commenting..I have this “it won’t matter if I do” thought..but maybe it does??
Thank you for brightening my day-especially on those harder days when I need it most. 💕
Oh gosh, Sarah! I want you to be here however you want to be here! Reading my posts, visiting the blog, using my links to shop… all of that is INCREDIBLE! Thank you for being a part of this community! xoxo, C
I’d forgotten some of these great posts so it was fun to go back and read them! Thank you.
Happy New Year!
