Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend!! I’m actually headed west this afternoon for a weekend camping trip with some of my favorite people! Mr. SP and I are meeting up with my dream team, Val and Suzie, for a few nights in Big Sur.
But honestly, I’ll believe it’s happening when I get there! Over the years, Mr. SP and I have tried to visit Big Sur four times… but each time it’s foiled by one thing or another! It’s become like a joke that we’re clearly not meant to see that stretch of California’s coastline, because it’s been derailed so many times. (We’re talking booked and paid for four times!)
Our plan is to camp a couple of nights with our friends, then head out on our own for a few nights in Santa Cruz. Fingers crossed!
But anyways… last year I started sharing fun and random things I’d found and ordered on my Instagram Stories … and y’all loved it! So a weekly Monday Mail Day series was born, which is essentially like my own little Sugarplum QVC show, ha!
So every week I share a hodgepodge of gadgets and treats that make life easier and more fun… some of which have become Sugarplum Faves, and part of my every day. Here’s a peek of my most popular Monday Mail Days, along with my favorite discoveries from each. (You can find the first batch of quirky faves HEREÂ and every week featured HERE.)
This was definitely a jackpot week, as each of these things now take up permanent residency at the Sugar Shack! We streamlined the mess of soaps and shampoos in our showers with these classic, refillable bottles, and drinks now have a coastal chic place to rest with the rattan coasters.
The wood garland is the best decor bang for your buck at $11 (they’re showing 35% off right now!), and we have them draped over books on coffee tables, console tables, and bookcases. And the cane planter? It’s ceramic!!
Shower Bottles Trio | Rattan Coasters | Bead Garland | Woven Ceramic Planter | Faux Plant | Dish Towels
This bag and strap combo looks familiar, I’m sure! I’ve only carried it non-stop since discovering it. And the sheet masks are hands-down one of the best for hydrating dry, tired skin.
Saddle Bag | Removable Strap | State Cap | Coffee Table Book | Sheet Masks
Another jackpot week, I’ve since reordered most of these products several times! The hair mask has saved my hair this summer from sun, chlorine, and salt… literally nothing makes my hair softer. I added the clarifying shampoo to my routine about once a month to clear out the residue and build-up, and my hair is always fuller after!
I’ve since replaced all my high-end mascaras for these, and the aviators actually fit better than my real Ray-Bans!
Lazy Susan Organizer | Mascara Pack | Aviators | Argan Oil Hair Mask | Anti-Residue Shampoo
The ChomChom Pet Hair Brush has been a literal game-changer around here! It’s light as a feather, and quickly and easily scoops up all the pet hair from sofas and chairs without damaging the upholstery. Simply rub it back and forth, and watch the hair disappear!
And of course the beaded bracelets… you’ve seen me wear them on repeat all year!
Pet Fur Remover Brush | Blue Light Magnifying Glasses | JLo Beauty Sheet Mask | Pedicure Tool | Gold Bead Bracelets
I don’t know how we managed before the massager gun, but it’s amazing on sore and tight muscles, sciatica pain, and more! And the ‘H’ throw… it’s actually a designer look-a-like! So good, right? It’s draped over the back of a chair and people always comment on it!
Recognize those sweet puppy faces?! It’s Mollie and Maggie Sugarplum… I gifted these socks to the kids last year and they loved them!
Custom Pet Socks | Phone Case | Temporary Tattoos | Designer Look-Alike Throw Blanket | Massager Device
My packing game has improved since discovering these clear zipper pouches… perfect for organizing toiletries, cords, and more in both my suitcase, carry-on, or just my everyday bag. And the layered initial necklace became my go-to for the last several months, and remains one of my faves.
Magnetic Measuring Spoons | Clear Zipper Pouches | Glass Water Bottle | Layered Pendant Necklace | Scalp Scrubber
Who knew I needed a meat masher in my life?! But this gadget is amazing for chopping ground beef, turkey, and chicken, for faster, more even cooking. And the OPI dry drops are incredible for taking your manicure from freshly painted to dry in under a minute!!
Meat and Potato Masher | Disposable Floral Masks (Also love these HERE) | Decorative Glass Beads | Flyaway Taming Sticks | Nail Polish Dry Drops
We learned the hard way we needed a heavy-duty back-up charger, and this one charges multiple devices at once and holds up to 20 hours of charge! The Mighty Patch pads work wonders in helping your pimples disappear overnight!
Lint Container | Acne Patches | Double Strand Necklace | External Battery Charger | Nesting Mixing Bowls
This plant food has transformed my pots from basic to BAM! Seriously, I had to back off from using it because our flowers are almost out of control! The USB Lighter is the coolest gadget, with no refills or butane needed!
Butterfly Necklace | USB Lighter | Plant Food | Pave Eternity Ring | Triple Defense Sunscreen (Use code SUGARPLUM20 to save 20%!)
These sandals are in my top 2 faves for the season… so incredibly chic for the best price! I love them with maxi dresses, skirts, and jeans. And hands-down one of my favorite finds all year are these home fragrance oils… our house smells like an expensive hotel thanks to these!!
Carpet Tape | Strappy Sandals | Santal Essential Oil | White Tea Essential Oil | Ceramic Diffuser | Acrylic Stapler and Tape Dispenser Set
I’ll bet you recognize every one of these finds! The shower cap is a Sugarplum Must Have, and the body lotion is my go-to for every day. I love the clean smell and slight glow it gives my skin.
The necklace connectors are genius at converting multiple necklaces into one, single clasp!
Weekend Vibes Tote | Miracle Oil Lotion | Padded Bandeau Trio | Drybar Shower Cap | Necklace Connectors
All of these things are living permanently at the Sugar Shack now, too! Darling decor for less, and the cutest tank.
Be Kind Tee | Bamboo Vase | Faux Stems | Serving Bowl | Custom Tumblers | Custom Koozies
My Sunday Self Care routine starts with dermaplaning my face with these razors (see my tips for at-home dermaplaning HERE), and these no-crease clips have actually helped me learn to tame my cowlicks!
Packable Sun Visor | Stretchy Woven Belts | No Crease Hair Clips | Dermaplane Facial Razors | Watermelon Slicer
The acrylic rack now keeps our collection of sports bottles and cups organized, and the nipple covers are by far the most natural I’ve ever worn!
Water Bottle Storage Rack | Nipple Covers | Oil Control Roller | Straw Hat | The Pink Stuff Cleaning Paste
Of course the world’s best Amazon bra was a Monday Mail Day find! There are a lot of happy boobs out there now, am I right? Easily convert it to a racerback with these clips. The denim shorts are a great fit and style, for under $25! And the tassel… do I even need to say anything about it?!
Striped Tote | Removable Tassel | Bra Clips | Wireless Bra | Jean Shorts | Tennis Bracelet
I did my own back-to-school shopping to get organized, and this academic wall calendar now has all our school holidays, tournaments, and games rounded up in one easy spot for the whole family to see. I love these fine-tipped pens for fun colors and no bleed-thru.
Suffer from red eyes on occasion? These miracle drops will have them bright white in seconds!!
Wall Calendar | Redness Relief Eye Drops | Cookbook Cutting Board | Longer Pendant Necklace | Slim Marker Pens
And finally, I shared an extra-special Monday Mail Day during our last GxHSP shoot with Mama Sugarplum, Val and Suzie! They each featured their favorite discoveries from my Monday Mail Days!
Steamer | Massager Device | Clear Zipper Pouches | Mascara | Self-Tan Mit | St. Tropez Tanning Mousse
I didn’t realize how many of my day-to-day finds were Monday Mail Day discoveries… in fact, it’s likely many will make my Sugarplum Favorite Things for the year! (See last year’s list HERE.)
So tell me… have any of my Monday Mail Day finds become favorites of yours, too? Do you have any random things bringing you joy I should try out next? Be sure to watch my Instagram Stories every Monday for a new installment of Monday Mail Day, and see all my finds HERE. Happy weekend, lovebugs!

Just returned from a week-long odyssey of dropping our twins (girl and boy) off at college (different colleges/different states, of course). They are our first born so your college/dorm buying guides have been extremely helpful. I looked at your older college dorm posts and last spring started buying a few things at a time. Your posts made shopping much less stressful! Thank you and here’s to a great school year for everyone!
Oh I am SO thrilled to hear that, Mary, thank you!!! I hope your mama heart is doing ok after TWO dropoffs! Xo, C
This post is not helping me with my plan to cut back on shopping! 😂 Lots of great suggestions here. Thank you!
Haha, sorry Beverly!!! But so many of these gadgets are truly so helpful! xo, C
Hope Big Sur works out for you! Have fun, and try to have drinks at The Post Ranch Inn, such a beautiful property!
Thank you for the tip!! xo C
That is one of our favorite places! We have been going for years.
If you have time, try breakfast at Deetjins. It is a quirky California experience plus a great breakfast;)
As you drive north, Garrapata State Park is a beautiful and easy walk along the coastline. A little further north, Point Lobos is a dramatic, gorgeous walk on the coast usually with wildlife sightings.
A little bit further up the road is Carmel-by-the-Sea. It is filled with quaint, historical cottages especially on the side streets off of Ocean. Lots of great places for lunch there. We love The Forge in the Forest. There are many adorable boutiques along Ocean too.
Enjoy your visit!
Thank you for all these great suggestions, Cristi! xo, C
Big Sur! Now I wanna go! Ask Mr. SP to show you the wall of bubblegum in Santa Cruz… : )
We’re finally going to make it this time!! xo C
Hi Cassie! First time writing in, but I graduated from UC Santa Cruz and couldn’t resist. For a true locals breakfast try Linda’s Seabreeze Cafe on the east side near Seabright Beach. The scrambles and pancake specials are delicious! There are several amazing bakeries including Kelly’s French Bakery, the Buttery, and Gayle’s (in Capitola). Ice cream at Mariannes on Ocean Street is also a must.
Thank you so so much Keri!! xo, C
Can I get the link for the Amazon underwear that you so highly recommend? I’ve looked and can’t seem to find it. 😑 Thanks!
Hi Sheila! I only wear this brand of underwear from Nordstrom!! https://shopstyle.it/l/bxDck
Make sure you go to the Penny Creamery in Santa Cruz, get whatever flavor of ice cream you like and have it topped with toasted mashmallow. YUM !! Also Gilda’s restaurant on Santa Cruz wharf has a great food. And Gayle’s Bakery & Rosticceria in Capitola, next to Santa Cruz, is great to pick up food already prepared or bakery items for a picnic at the hotel or on the beach. Both places have websites. I’m sad I cannot tell you to go on the short wooded trails in Limekiln State Park off of Hwy 1, all the trails are closed due damage from the Dolan Fire per the website. Oh if you wish to see Elephant seals, go to Ano Nuevo, go 23 miles North of Santa Cruz to see them. And hug a Redwood tree for me, there’s plenty in Santa Cruz.
Wow thank you so much for all of this!! xo, C
Oh I love that bag and strap, definitely my favourite thing above!
Stevie 🙂
Aren’t they so good?!? And hello all the way to the UK! xo, C
