Happy, happy November, friends! I mean, do I really have to say ‘November already’, or is everyone in agreement that this is pure insanity?! I don’t want to alarm you, but there are only 8 Saturdays until Christmas. And that’s counting Christmas Eve! Okay, maybe we should all be a little alarmed.

Some weeks days it seems I’m doing nothing but chasing a To Do List, or playing catch-up, so it’s nice to take a moment each month and look back at the projects and content I managed to create. No question the One Room Challenge took up the bulk of the month (by the way, thanks for your vote of confidence yesterday!), but we squeezed a few other projects and style inspirations in there, too.

Mr. SP is almost always a good sport & this Date Night Shoot was one of my favorites. He even jeopardized his back for me! Plus, I adore that sassy little dress & heels!
The hardest working utility cart…I shared six ways to make life easier at home with this nifty rolling cart. That’s a lot of bang for your $30 buck!
I had the honor of being invited back to the Better Homes & Gardens Stylemaker Event, and spent a beautiful, inspiring day with a roomful of creative geniuses.

I’m a sucker for a quilted puffer…and this one had me at buffalo check. I couldn’t bear to reserve it only for weekends though, so I styled it 2 Ways for Work. Okay, casual work wear, but work wear none the less.

We snuck off for a quickie getaway to stunning New Mexico…Albuquerque was unexpectedly gorgeous, and Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Farm the charming cherry on top!

It was a whirlwind couple of days, but here’s how we squeezed every drop of fun out of
our 36 Hours in New York City (plus what I packed)!

The always-exciting, sometimes-stressful One Room Challenge kicked off, and it’s been
a month of fast-paced progress…Catch up with Week One, Two, Three & Four.

Last month also had another round of Sugarplum Style, and everyone’s favorite, Dressing Room Diaries, featuring tons of new finds, and recent outfits (and Mama Sugarplum!). I also threw in a couple of quick Five Under $50 and Ramblings, featuring fun new things I’ve got my eye on.

(Sidenote: I also updated my Sugarplum Picks to reflect what I’m loving and wearing these days. You can check it out anytime using the shopping bag graphic in the sidebar.)

November is sure to be another fun one, with more travel, the One Room Challenge Reveal, and holiday inspiration for home and style. Thank you so much for stopping by when you do…your support and comments mean the world to me! See you back here tomorrow for enough Fall style inspiration to get you through the rest of the season! #monsterpost

Shut your mouth, it is not really November??? This has got to be the fastest year ever! Must mean we’re having fun, right? Well, at least we know cooler temps are finally here to stay…hopefully, anyway! Mama’s ready to wear this scarf and sweater.

October was an exciting month, with lots of fun posts…but in case you forgot to pay your internet bill, here’s what you missed.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten October

This darling plaid shirtdress got all kinds of mileage this month, first with a
{Now & Later}, and then a {Rule of Three}…that makes 4 ways to wear it!
One more styling and we’d have a {5 Ways}, too!
Mr. SP and I had a whirlwind 24-hours in Seattle.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten October

My sister had a fairytale wedding in Big Sky, Montana this Summer, and it was
a gorgeous family affair.
I stumbled on a crowd-pleasing topic when I shared my Top Beauty Products & Procedures! I loved all your feedback, so I think we definitely need to chat about these topics more!

 Plaid shirts are a bit of an obsession right now, so I shared how I wear them {Work to Weekend}

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten October
{Project Little Miss} is ticking right along with new pom-pom bedding and large scale art.
I shared my NYC Street Style and City Guide. Not that I’m an expert, but after three trips this Summer, I definitely  have some favorites.
With so many cute things in the stores right now, it’s hard to decide what your closet needs.
So I put together my list of Fall’s Essential Seven for creating stylish outfits all season.

We also had another round of Sugarplum Style, and everyone’s favorites, Look for Less and Dressing Room Diaries. All of which now have nifty little graphics in the sidebar, so you can catch up on them anytime.

November is set to be a busy one, with the {One Room Challenge} wrapping up, the beginnings of Christmas decorating, Fall style, and oh yeah…cruising the Carribean with HGTV and the Property Brothers, plus a long weekend in Miami with Mr. SP for my birthday! I’d love to hear what your favorite post of the month was…and also any Miami tips you have! Happy Monday, lovebugs!

  1. Hi Cassie, did you have to order a 1/2 size larger in the DV nude bootie? They seem snug in the 5 1/2 and I am thinking of exchanging for the 6 but afraid it might be TOO big? What do you think?

November already!?!? Yes, ma’am, it’s November…which means my birthday is next week, Thanksgiving is around the corner, and there are only seven Fridays before Christmas! Now is the time to panic. I’m kidding, of course…you have plenty of time to think about my birthday. đŸ˜‰

But before we jump into November, let’s take a look back at the most popular posts of October…you know, just in case you took an internet hiatus. Some of them are Halloween-related, so it doesn’t really help you now…but maybe you’ll want to pin them for next year!? #hint

Raise your hand if you’re experiencing a serious sugar-crash. I’m raising both hands. I think the best way to combat that is just more sugar…kind of like hair-of-the-dog, right? We had a great time canvasing the neighborhood last night, and I’m sure we’ll spend the weekend sorting and trading the loot gathered. You know, I’ll give you my Nerds for your Twix. That almost sounds like a TWSS?! Maybe it’s the sugar talking.
In case you nodded off, or you’re new around here (welcome!), here’s what you missed in October.
Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten October projects
My daughter is officially over Paris, and really in to horses. So her room is getting some updates, including this jumbo DIY art we printed and framed over her bed. How fun are those brass corners?
Some might call it an OCD episode, but I like to think it was an explosion of creativity. Either way, I shared my formula for Styling Coffee Tables, then proceeded to give you two three four five six examples, using items from my house.
I played cool-breeze, jet-setting blogger for a few days, and dashed off to NYC with some of my favorite girls. NYC in the Fall + Fun Blogger Event = a Must See.

I got a little crazy with the color wheel, and paired Orange & Green in this {Outfit Inspiration}.
This desk nook used to be a sweet wet bar. Now it’s cute and functional, and I show you how to conceal those dang cords under the desk!
Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten October projects
After a long Summer, I’m having to re-learn my Fall wardrobe. In this Friday Fashion I shared some of my favorite, easy weekend looks.
I loved my pink drapes. But I love these, less in-yo-face gray chevron ones, even more.
Monster. Cookies. Enough said.
Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten October projects
And of course it wouldn’t be October at the Sugarplum house if I didn’t get my creepy on. We had a Spider Porch, complete with fun Tulle Wreath. And the Hitchcock Mantel with Bug Votives is my favorite yet. I’m not ready to take it down, but I guess it’s time to make way for Thanksgiving!
What will you be doing this weekend, besides shoveling back candy and sleeping an extra hour? Or is that just me? I’m also gearing up for the big Nordstrom Sale starting next week! I’ve already got my eye on these boots and these nude peep-toes (both already on sale!). Happy weekend, lovebugs!

Happy Friday, sweet friends! My sweet little one has been home sick for the last few days, but I’m hopeful she’s on the mend. After missing Halloween, she certainly deserves a great weekend!
October was a busy month, and now that November is here (how’d that happen?!?), it’s only going to get crazier! I’m so thankful for those of you who stop in everyday, every week, or once a blue moon. In case you missed a few posts, here’s a recap of October (minus all the Halloween projects, which don’t seem too interesting once November rolls around.)

The Living Room makeover is moving right along, and this new Greek Key rug brightened things up.
I paired the classic colors of navy and gray for an easy Fall outfit.

Your nails can benefit from a well-stocked craft cabinet, too.
Okay, so here’s one Halloween project…but only because this paper dahlia could be made in different colors for so many occasions.
Made real-life friends with two of my favorite online girls!

A snazzy magazine rack makes this my new favorite corner in the Family Room.
A dated, ho-hum hutch got her glam-on with some new ring pulls.

The big wall in the Family Room is now full of free, sentimental art.
I got frisky with kelly green and leopard.
We took a little field trip through the only brick-and-mortar Wisteria.
There’s also a little giveaway going on you might want to check out, but only if you’re interested in 100 smackers! Oh geez, as if I weren’t bugged enough about my “big birthday” just around the corner, now I’m even talking like an old lady! Please tell me you say things like smackers and pocketbook?! Happy weekend, whipper-snappers! I’ll be back next week with more fun than you can shake a stick at!
