{Top Ten} March

I don’t know about you…but that weekend, and all of March in general…just flew by, don’t you think?! It feels like Winter and Spring breaks were practically back-to-back, and now Summer break will be here before we know it! Maybe it’s all this glorious weather, but it seems like we’re blowing through the days.

Some weeks days it seems I’m doing nothing but chasing a To Do List, or playing catch-up, so it’s nice to take a moment each month and look back at the projects and content I managed to create. So just in case dropped your phone in the toilet, here are the top posts from March.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten March

Sometimes I want something new & fabulous to wear, but can’t spend a small fortune.
My experience with Rent the Runway…plus, lots of tips for trying it yourself!
I finally tackled my closet, starting with all my Accessories & Handbags.
Now I feel like I’m getting dressed in my own personal boutique!
I’ve avoided jumping on the Uggs bandwagon for years, simply because
I thought them to be so dang unflattering! Well, that’s all changed with the
release of their new slim line….and now I’m #TeamUGG all the way!
In fact, I’m the unofficial UGG Mayor! #notreally
Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten March

Have you been drooling & lusting over the Dara Burriss art in my Living Room?
Sure this is a pic of me frolicking in the snow, but really we’re talking about grandmothers,
We Spring Breaked in Jackson Hole & I blogged all about it.
You’ll definitely want to add that charming little western town to your travel list!

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten March

No question I’m a color-loving fool, but I can still appreciate classic neutrals.
To prove it, I created a {Five Ways} of all Winter Neutrals. Not a pop of color in the bunch!
Except my lips, but that’s never changing.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten March
Our precious Little Miss turned 10 & I got all kinds of mushy.
Mr. SP & I froze our tushes off in New York City, but still had a ball.
We crammed as much in our long Valentine weekend as possible & lived to blog about it.

We also had another round of Sugarplum Style, and everyone’s favorite, Dressing Room Diaries. Both of which have nifty little graphics in the sidebar, so you can catch up on them anytime. I also threw in a quick Five Under $50 and I Spy, featuring fun new things I’ve got my eye on.

(Sidenote: I also updated my Sugarplum Picks to reflect what I’m loving and wearing these days. You can check it out anytime using the shopping bag graphic in the sidebar.)

April is sure to be another fun one, with a girl’s weekend trip (an excuse to rent dresses!), more Spring style inspiration, and showing off some home makeover progress! Thank you so much for stopping by when you do…your support and comments mean the world to me!

My opinion on Uggs….wayyyyyy overpriced for that little tag. I finally broke down and bought my daughter a pair because that's all she really wanted for Christmas. However my other daughter, who thankfully doesn't care about the label, has had nicer boots for much much less expensive. To top it all off, one of the bows came I tied the first time she wore them. It's not a simple tie! Luckily my nephew figured out the fancy tie and then I stitched them all closed. Without a doubt you are paying for the label!!

{Top Ten} March

Hi friends, and happy Monday. I hope you had a great Easter weekend, spent with people you love. I’m still coming off my Nashville food-coma from our quick weekend trip (here’s some of my favorite restaurants there), and the sugar high from yesterday’s celebrations. Gluttonous is thy middle name!

Things slowed down a bit in March, as we settled in to our second month in the new house. I realized I was a little frazzled from the intense pace of selling, packing and moving, so I allowed myself a bit of a breather from creating this new home, and just enjoyed it.

But that doesn’t mean it was a quiet month…here are the Top Ten posts of March…

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten March
My office is pretty casual, but I still need to look professional…
The Kitchen Renovation is nearing the end, but we need to repaint the walls so the cabinets stand out. Did you weigh in on which option you liked?
Even the most basic outfits can be taken to the next level with a single accessory.
See five examples in the Power of One.
Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten March

We completed the makeover on our previous Master Bedroom…just in time to move.
It was hard saying goodbye to those amazing drapes, but I got over it as soon as we started working on our new Master Bedroom plans!
Thrilling to see my name in the pages of Redbook. #willwondersnevercease
I also shared some of my favorite spray paint projects.
Volume 11 of Sugarplum Style showcased my field jacket love affair.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten March

Thanks to Spring Break, we took a few Field Trips…one to the Dallas Arboretum,
and another to the stunning Arhaus store.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten March

The Family Room was the trickiest room to arrange, but we finally got it right.
I got a little carried away with several rounds of Look for Less…here, here, and here.
Some of which is hard to decipher the High from the Low option!
The first fully-organized space in the new house is the Master Bath (going along with that whole ‘starting with us’ theme). I shared my method for creating drawer liners out of any decorative paper, along with a clever tip for keeping the cords hidden away.
April is sure to be a busy month, with weeks 2-5 of the One Week Challenge, fun new Spring fashion posts, and hopefully, the last Kitchen update before the final reveal! Thanks, as always, for following along. #grouphug

I knew March was a busy month for us…I just didn’t realize how busy until I started rounding up the Top Ten projects and posts! I guess the beginning of Spring temperatures had me fired up and frisky. No telling what’s going to happen when the good weather really rolls around.
So just in case you gave up blogs for Lent, here’s what you missed last month around these parts.
