Well friends, we’re on the backside of this week…we’re almost there! I’m thrilled you guys have enjoyed this week’s Five Ways series, because goodness knows I have so much fun putting it all together! And from the sound of it, we’re all ready for the Fall invasion!
For today’s Transitioning to Fall style, I’m focusing on work wear. We all know how to add boots or a scarf to make weekend styles Fall-ready, but dressier styles can be a little trickier. My rule of thumb for transitional seasons (whether it be now, or that weird space between Winter and Spring), is to cover either my arms or my legs. I’ve found that choosing one or the other almost-always works for transitioning!
Sweater (available in 7 colors!) | Pleated Mini Skirt (longer option) | Necklace | Satchel Bag | Patent Pumps (nude on sale!) | Sunglasses | Watch (50% off!)
So if I’m wearing a skirt, I’ll pair it with long-sleeves…or short-sleeves with pants and trousers. You can wear either with peep-toe shoes or sandals, or keep your feet fully covered with pumps. If styling this skirt for a night out, I wear sandals like these, but for work I prefer a more covered-up style (and these pumps are my hands-down faves.)Â
The sweater is a great transitional piece too, because it’s lightweight enough to wear now, but layers beautifully over collared shirts later. It’s also great worn under a blazer or jacket. (Also available in cashmere for under $100 here.)
Fit Tip: This sweater is a wardrobe staple for me, and I have it in several colors. I size up to a small in mine for relaxed fit and more layering room. (It’s up to 30% off today only!)
Circle Ring | Earrings | Watch (50% off!) | Bracelet | Lipstick in ‘Poppy’ | Sweater (on sale!) | Pleated Mini Skirt (longer option) | Necklace | Satchel Bag | Sunglasses

The statement necklace adds a touch of bling, but the classic chain style doesn’t read as too trendy. You could easily add a blazer (love this one!) to this outfit for more warmth, or swap the sweater for a camisole (like this one) for evening wear.
Don’t mind my bangs…I’m in this weird ‘do I cut them or wear them long?!’ phase. I’m forever a bangs girl, so I think I just need to figure out how to style them at this longer length. Or maybe just start with combing them.
