{Top Ten} December & January

February already, really?? Didn’t we just put the Christmas tree away last week? Some weeks days it seems I’m doing nothing but running around like a crazy-lady, or playing catch-up, so it’s nice to take a moment each month and look back at the projects and content I managed to create.

We hit the new year running, and I didn’t get a chance to re-cap December, so this is a double-whammy. Just in case you’ve been hibernating, here are the top posts from the last few months.

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten Projects
Cold days call for cozy outfits, and these are my Winter uniforms.
What are the Property Brothers really like? I had the opportunity to go
Sailing with the Scotts, and cruise the Caribbean with some
of my favorite blogger friends, and spilled the beans about all of it!

Most of December revolved around Christmas decor & traditions, but also a first look at
Our first project of the year is overhauling and organizing the Office/Craft Closet,
starting with the Befores, Plans, and Progress. Just looking at the installed Elfa system
even empty, makes my heart race!

With so many uses, barcarts are one of the most hard-working pieces in a home.
I teamed up with La Crema wine & Wisteria #icanteven to style this chic bar cart
Two Ways…for both parties & everyday…plus give you the chance to win one of your own!
We’re all comfortable with a Little Black Dress, but what mixing it up
No question 2015 was a humdinger for me…mostly because of you…I recapped
my personal highlights, including meeting this cutie!

Mr. SP & I got cleaned up and hit the town for {Date Night} Holiday Edition.
I have a tendency to re-wear the same outfit several times a week, but by
mixing up the accessories & layers, no one is the wiser. I shared this One Outfit | Three Ways.
Are you ready for some football??? I’ll be watching the commercials & shoving these
Tortilla Roll-Ups in my face.

I reach for plaid shirts more than any other this time of year,

Hi Sugarplum | Top Ten Projects
Every now and then, I pull back the blogger-veil and share some of the
down-and-dirty. It was humbling to reveal my flaws & darkness in this post,
Who’s Doing It All? Not Me!, but comforting to know so many of us are in the same boat.
I love white jeans too much to ever pack them away, so I shared my
I’ve had a lot of requests for more work-wear, so I kicked off the month by
styling the LBD for both {Now & Later}.

We also had another round of Sugarplum Style, and everyone’s favorites, Look for Less and Dressing Room Diaries. All of which now have nifty little graphics in the sidebar, so you can catch up on them anytime.

(Sidenote: I updated my Sugarplum Picks to reflect what I’m loving and wearing these days. You can check it out anytime using the shopping bag graphic in the sidebar.)

February is already in full swing with a big organizing project with my darling friend Jen, Valentine’s Day, a new style series, plus packing our bags for a fun, last-minute trip! Thank you so much for stopping by when you do…your support and comments mean the world to me!

If you’re new around here, or just playing catch-up, here are some good places to start:

I really love your blog.. But don't dup the readers and say "We hit the new year running, and I didn't get a chance to re-cap December"…look back on your posts.. It's a constant replay of a lot of your posts as well as instagram and Facebook. Please don't take it the wrong way. Just some constructive feedback. It seems the same looks very very much on repeat. Still love ya!!–

    • Thanks for the comment, TJ! With almost 6 years of content here, the monthly recaps make it easier for readers to keep up and reference, especially since not everyone follows on Instagram, Facebook and blog! I've been doing them monthly for years, but inadvertently overlooked December…hence the double-up! Happy hump day! xo C.

  5. Running around like a crazy lady or playing catch up…YES. I feel like that's me. All of the time. Sigh. I'm not complaining, though…too blessed for that…just sayin'. 🙂 Your blog is such a happy place to visit. I thoroughly enjoy popping in to see what Cassie is up to. And I LOVED your keepin'-it-real post. Humility is refreshing in blog land, so THANK YOU. Here's to another fabulous month! 🙂

With your inspiration, I have recently bought two blanket scarves however……I look like the scarf is eating my head, they are so big! I like to think that I am pretty handy at tying scarves but I cannot figure this one out….any chance on a photo tutorial soon so that I can make this look cute/not look like I'm being attacked by a plaid monster? 🙂

    • Haha! Yes, some of them are definitely overwhelming! I fold mine in half on the diagonal, and roll them up starting on the wide end. That helps with the volume! xo
