{Be My Valentine} Simple Gift Idea

It’s full-blown Operation Craft Closet over here. My darling friend Jen, the organizing genius, is visiting for the week, and I’ve barely let her out of the house. #justkidding #butnotreally The girl is a wealth of ideas! It’s so much more fun to create with people who get just as excited about the little things! We’re documenting everything, so hopefully I’ll have new organizing ideas to share with you soon.

Being elbow-deep in my supplies fired up my crafty side, and I decided to whip up a simple project celebrating Valentine’s Day, perfect for gifting teachers or girlfriends…felt coffee sleeves.

Hi Sugarplum | Valentine Coffee Sleeves/Teacher Gift

Because obviously cardboard sleeves are so 2015! 😉 #feltisalltheragenow

{What You Need}
Felt Sheets
Pinking Shears (regular scissors are fine, too)
Glue Gun
To-Go Coffee Cup & Cardboard Sleeve
{What You Do}
* Using the cardboard sleeve as a template, trace it flat on a sheet of felt.

* Cut the felt sleeve, making it about a half-inch longer than the template,
and cut heart shapes out of a contrasting felt color.

* Wrap the sleeve tightly around the cup and glue the flaps together.

* Glue the heart to the sleeve, and cut the excess sleeve flap.

* Add filler and a gift card….Voila!

Sidenote: Forget those fancy, pricey stationary shops…I buy my confetti/shredded filler at the Dollar Store! Yep, they have a ton of colors in the party section. And it’s only….wait for it…a dollar. #seewhattheydidthere

The felt sleeve slides off and can be reused, or just provides a cute base for gifting this Valentine’s Day. And the best part is, it only took about 10 minutes, and was virtually free to create!

    Ahem….probably a stupid question here but – does Starbucks sell the to-go cups without coffee? I didn't know!

      Ha! Maybe…I'm not sure! I actually ordered a drink, then asked for extra empty cups! I figured it was all part of the expense of the project! 😉 xo
