Sugarplum Style, Vol. 83

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! We’re headed north to Parents Weekend later today, and I’m so excited to have my little clan of four back together! It was Mr. SP’s birthday this week, too, so we have a lot to celebrate. What’s on your agenda?

Today on the blog it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. I hope they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.

And between the weather and recent trips, it’s kind of a mixed bag of summer and almost-fall!

 

The easiest way to pull a basic look together…this knit blazer! I have it in two colors now, and it’s a closet staple!

Fit Tip: I size down to an XSP for a shrunken fit.

Some outfits never see the light of day…so a mirror selfie will have to do. This tank from our Resort Collection was a fave, it has the cutest embroidery on the back! Plus, it’s on super sale.

Here’s a peek at our penthouse loft we stayed in downtown LA…more details from that trip coming soon. But this sweater is perfectly slouchy, the prettiest shade of pink, and super soft.

This cotton sweater is a great transitional piece for in-between weather…and perfect paired with cutoffs now or jeans later. I swapped my bag strap to give this crossbody new life.

Loved the view, but quickly discovered I’m definitely not cool enough for downtown life! Love this square neck bodysuit and skirt combo though…the skirt fits like a dream!

Sunday best in the easiest wear-anywhere dress! Our Cavallo dress has the best new Fall prints…this one will be so cute with peep-toe booties, too!

We keep our house pretty chilly, so you’ll usually find me in cozy wear on computer days. This pullover is already one I reach for repeatedly! And again with the jeans…probably the 10th time this month!

Oh, and can we talk about the mules for a second?! I’ve always loved them on others, but could never find a pair I’m actually able to walk in (without shuffling!). These fit beautifully, are crazy-comfy, and super chic! Perfect transitional shoe!
