First up, thanks for all the love on our Bathroom Remodel yesterday!! I can hardly believe it’s actually part of my house, and still walk in just to stare and gawk! Every bath, shower, and even flossing feels more special! It’s one of those projects we’ve been talking about as ‘someday,’ so to have it complete is surreal.
After almost five years in this house, we’ve almost tackled every room to make it our own! You can see everything we’ve done under my Decor tab, and stay tuned for the rest of the spaces in the coming months.
Today I’ve got some fun style inspiration for you…and it’s all about the wide leg pant! It’s incredibly versatile, not to mention comfortable and forgiving, and perfect for work and weekend wear.
Wide Leg Pants for Work
I love a good trouser, and this one is both chic and comfortable…and bonus, it doesn’t wrinkle! Even after hours sitting at a desk, I’m still wrinkle free! It comes in several colors and patterns, but black is the most versatile for the workplace (and date nights!). If you prefer full-length, I love these high-waisted pants, too, but size up one.
I paired it with a drop shoulder top (you may remember it from this Dressing Room Diaries), which is great worn alone, or layered under a blazer. It’s lightweight with beautiful drape, and comes in a whopping 16 colors and patterns!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS in both the top and pants.

I styled this easy combination with a few pieces from Kendra Scott’s new Fall Collection. This necklace is a gorgeous black granite stone, set in a soft rose gold.

I love the flow and movement of these pants, and the outfit feels so effortlessly chic for the office or a night out. The pumps have been a long-time closet staple for me…the perfect flattering height, but still low enough to be comfortable.

Wide Leg Pants for Weekend
For a fun weekend style, I styled the same pants but in this bold green leopard pattern! I shared them on Instagram Stories the day they arrived (some things are too good to wait!), and ya’ll went crazy for them. I love that green leopard makes you as excited as it does me!
With such a bold pattern, I’d keep the top simple and pair them with a black or white top. These scoop tanks have been my favorite for years…they’re silky soft with a deep scoop, but still bra-friendly. I have all three colors and love them worn alone, and especially under blazers.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS in both pants and tank.

Throw on a jean jacket, and you just extended this outfit into early Fall!
These earrings are also part of the new Kendra Scott Collection, and a fun new geometric shape.

I typically live in jeans throughout the Fall, but this year I’m inspired to wear more pants and skirts. What about you? What kind of pieces are looking to add to your wardrobe this season? I’ve got Nordstrom’s New Arrivals bookmarked, and will be on the lookout!

These pants are awesome! I love the black ones with that leopard top so much!
This may sound like a silly question, but how do you keep the soles of your sandals so clean?
Makeup wipes!! They work like a charm!
In our colder climate what type of boot would you wear with wide leg pants? Or would you skip that type of pants entirely?
Hi Colleen! I would wear a taller boot that covered the ankle/leg completely, creating a long leg line! Preferably one with a pointer toe, rather than too rounded. xo. C
