Amazon Fashion Finds | September

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend ahead! We have a whole lot of nothing on the calendar this weekend, and I’m thrilled about it! I know we’re in the calm before the storm with volleyball and college visits, so I’m soaking up the stillness while we have it.

No question it’s been a crazy month, but you know I’m not about to miss your favorite monthly series, Amazon Fashion Finds! I started these Fashion Finds last July, and they quickly become reader-faves, and even though it takes intense digging to find the good stuff, I love the challenge of discovering such gems!

And remember, I’d never share anything with you that I wouldn’t wear myself, or recommend to my best friend! Here is this month’s best of the batch…

Sizing info: I’m 5’4″ 120-ish pounds, and usually wear an XS/0 and 26 jeans. My fit tips and size recommendations are included with each description.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with these wide-leg jeans, but I have to say…I’m totally digging them!! Something feels very casual chic about them…like elevated, fashionable denim, rather than your standard jeans.

They are high-waist with cute button-fly, and have enough stretch to provide support and keep them comfortable. The raw hem gives them a bit of edge, too. I’d pair them with flats, and preferably one with a pointier toe to balance the wide leg. We’ll talk about the sweater and earrings in a minute!

Fit Tip: True to size, I’m wearing size 26 in Authentic Blue (they come in 4 colors)

V-Neck Pullover | Wide Leg Jeans | Leopard Flats (also here) | Tassel Earrings

Strangely enough, these shorts are one of my favorite finds this month!! Not because they’re particularly stylish, but they’re just so dang soft and comfy! I love to wear shorts like this around the house…so you feel like you’re in pajamas, but you aren’t embarrassed if neighbors stop by. You know what I mean!! They’re super thick, like your favorite old sweatshirt, with a drawstring and pockets. And as for white tees, this is one of the best!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small, but need an XS, so true to size.

French Terry Shorts | Pocket Tee

Okay, now back to that first pullover! It’s incredibly lightweight, but well-made, with a longer length and side slit. You can wear it tucked (it’s thin enough it doesn’t bunch up), or wear it long with leggings. It comes in several Fall-fave colors…I’m in the beige, and paired it with fun tassel earrings.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS in Beige

V-Neck Pullover | Dark Wash Jeggings | Leopard Flats | Wide Leg Jeans | Tassel Earrings

Remember this shirt from last month’s Amazon Fashion Finds? It’s almost too good to be true for the price! I fell hard for the ginghams, but thought surely the white wouldn’t hold up. Well, I was wrong! It’s crisp with a touch of stretch, in a great mid-weight perfect for wearing alone or layering under sweaters.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS in White, it comes in 16 colors.

Classic Button-UpWide Leg Jeans | Leopard Flats

Looks like my collection of these perfect button-ups is growing!

Button Shirt | White Jeans

I’ve been sharing a lot of leopard lately, mostly in the form of dressier tops and skirts…but how fun are these leopard tees?! They’re a lightweight, silky poly-blend with a touch of stretch. Wear them alone with sneakers, boots, or flats, or layer them under jackets and blazers.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small – Long Sleeve & Leopard 02 pattern and it comes in 41 colors

I don’t know about your area, but Texas doesn’t just go from Summer to Fall. In fact, we’re months away from being able to genuinely wear sweaters. First it’s more of a cardigan and long sleeves season, so easy tops like this are always a welcome closet addition.

This cute peplum has a subtle textured pattern, and is a stretchy medium weight. It comes in several colors, but I grabbed this one for game days!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small in Red.

Peplum Top | Cropped Jeans | Leopard Flats

This long sleeve tee is incredible quality, super soft, and a great lightweight for wearing alone or under cardigans. It comes in a ton of color combos, too.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but would prefer a more relaxed fit by sizing up.

Striped Tee

This pullover is sporty and sassy, and so easy to wear with jeans or cut-offs. Pull it off the shoulder for a fun style, too. It’s lightweight and feels like a cross between a tee and sweatshirt.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a XX

Striped Pullover | Cropped Jeans | Mules

I know many of us live in leggings, so I’m always on the hunt for cute, longer styles. This pullover sweater has a fun pattern and fully covers the bum. The fabric is fairly soft, but it’s definitely a one-season purchase.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small in White.

Animal Print Tunic | Dark Wash Jeggings | Wedge Booties

My closet is quickly becoming a collection of long cardigans, and gray is the overwhelming majority! Funny, considering how much I love color, right?! There’s just something classic about gray and camel sweaters, and they pair beautifully with every color. This long cardigan is super soft, really well-made, and a great mid-thigh length. It’s a medium weight to carry you through Fall (and Texas winters!) and comes in several colors, as well.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS in Light Heather Grey.

Ribbed Long Cardigan | Scoop Tank | Black Skinnies Jeans | Leopard Flats

Okay, how about some cozy pullovers?! I hit the jackpot on these this month…starting with this teddy bear fleece with half-zip. It’s by one of my favorite Amazon house brands, and the quality rivals that of super high-end outdoor pieces. It fits a little boxy with a finished hem that wears like a sweatshirt, rather than hanging. I hope that makes sense! It’s definitely thick and warm, too!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small in Olive.

Half-Zip Teddy Bear Pullover | Jeans | Wedge Sneakers

Another pullover, this one incredibly soft and a little less stiff and bulky. Plus, how fun is the contrasting color trim?! It comes in several colors, but I’m partial to the pink. It also has a relaxed hem that hangs rather than hugs the hips.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small in White.

Cozy Pullover | Jeans | Wedge Sneakers

These hoodie pullovers are more of a sweatshirt material, in a soft mid-weight. I love the color block stripes and front pouch pocket. It comes in several color combos.

Fit Tip: The Gray & White is a Small and fits slightly oversized. The Pink is a size up in Medium and becomes more of a tunic length for leggings. Comes in 4 blocked colors.

Striped Hoodie | Jeans | Wedge Sneakers

This was one of my favorite Amazon finds last year…it’s incredibly soft jersey knit in a great mid-weight. But I always wished I could wear it with leggings too. So I ordered a larger size and BAM…perfect, casual tunic! Seriously, this pullover feels like pajamas!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Medium for an oversized fit. It’s true to size otherwise.

Striped Tunic | Cropped Leggings | Sneakers

Speaking of game day…I’ve been on the lookout for cute things to wear to Oklahoma football this season, and found some really fun pieces that come in a range of ‘school’ colors. I love the one shoulder, but still so soft and comfortable! The shorts are a slightly longer inseam, so you aren’t left feeling too exposed.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but would prefer a Small, so size up if in-between.

One-Shoulder Romper | Sandals

Everyone’s favorite jersey knit tank dress now comes in a short sleeve version. It’s incredibly soft and stretchy (straight up feels like pajamas), with a fitted sleeve and single side leg slit. It’s perfect for transitional weather, and so cute with a jean jacket and pendant necklace.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but would prefer a size up for less body-con fit.

Short Sleeve Jersey Maxi Dress | Sandals

You’ve seen this dress before…it’s a HSP reader fave for sure. And for good reason! It’s incredibly well-made, chic, and so forgiving. Plus it’s easily styled for a range of occasions from work to date nights. And it’s finally back in stock, and now in all new colors!!! I’ve already ordered the pink. You’d never guess it’s under $30!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small

Tweed Shift Dress | Pumps

My go-to Fall jacket is always a utility/military jacket, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a better one than this for the price! Incredibly well-made in a sturdy cotton twill with a tall collar and flap pockets. It even has a hidden drawstring for a more feminine fit.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but it’s a little oversized, so I’d size down if in-between.

Twill Utility Jacket | Scoop Tank | Cropped Jeans | Leopard Flats

I was shocked to find this amazing teddy bear coat on Amazon, and even more shocked by the incredible quality! It’s heavy and so well-made, and comes in several fun, fall colors.

Fit Tip: Definitely size down, I’m wearing an XS and it’s too big.

Teddy Bear Coat | Scoop Tank | Cropped Jeans | Leopard Flats

And finally, this faux-leather Moto jacket is such a cute find with contrasting stripe and sweatshirt hood. It’s a slightly cropped length, so it’d be cute with skirts or dresses.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small.

Hooded Moto Jacket | Scoop Tank | Black Skinnies

These wrap bracelets are so on-trend right now, and I hit the jackpot on good ones! I ordered from about 10 different sellers, and these were the hands-down winners! They’re super lightweight with an easy magnetic closure. Some of them do benefit from a little airing out though!

Calf Hair & Rose Gold Bracelet | Leopard Bracelet | Double Wrap Metallic Bracelet

I also took the plunge and joined the Apple Watch gang. Amazon offers it for such a great deal (sometimes anyway, the price seems to fluctuate). So far I like it, but haven’t quite figured out how to best optimize it and get to that ‘love it’ feeling just yet. Any tips? I got the white band, but have already ordered a few fun replacements to try out. This is the combo I’ve been wearing most recently.

Calf Hair & Rose Gold Bracelet | Apple Watch

As for earrings, these were my fave finds this month. I have the exact same ones for $48…so I was pumped to find these are the same quality at a fraction of the price. I threw in the sunglasses because I wear 90% of the time…and they’re only $10!

Tassel Earrings | My Go-To Sunglasses (only $10!)

I love sturdy felt hats for Fall, and this style comes in a ton of colors at a crazy-good price. They sit a little high on my head, so a little tall on me, but I like them too much to care!

Felt Hat in ‘Dark Camel’ | Felt Hat in ‘Camel’ | Tassel Earrings

These bags were a late addition to the post, but as soon as they arrived I knew I had to share!! They’re incredible look-alikes and really well made! Regardless of the designer look, they’re stylish, sturdy and chic totes! And under $50!!!! I love how they stand up without flopping over, too.

Checkered Look-Alike Totes

Here they are on to give you a size reference…

Checkered Tote | Sweater | Cropped Jeans | Mules

And finally, you may have noticed my new wedge sneakers I wore in half these pics. They have a hidden wedge for more lift and height, and are crazy comfy. I wear them as I would a bootie or sneaker for a fun, casual look. Consider them your new mom uniform! And they’re 20% off for Hi Sugarplum readers only!! Use code Sugarplum20 to save.

Fit Tip: Since they’re slip-on style, they take a little wiggling to get on the first time, but are great after that. I find them true to size.

Wedge Sneakers

So many fun finds this month, right? As for the most popular from our Amazon Fashion Finds of August, here are your Top 5:

Classic Button-Up / Great fit & tons of colors
Keychain Bangle / Never lose your keys in your bag again!
Essential Tees /  Classic fit in an affordable 2-pack
Striped Pullover / Cozy, soft, sporty & fun
Tunic Tee / Ready for you, leggings!

And for my random non-fashion buys, I added this desk pad to improve my work surface…it works as a mousepad and a great writing surface. I also ordered these compression packing cubes. Nothing could replace my beloved eBags, but curious if these create even more room!

I noticed my son ordered this planner...which is a first for him. So hopefully that means he’s going to class! Also, do your kids have open access to your Amazon account?! This could get dangerous!

Oh no!!! yes that’s me, but they stole my photo!! Several amazon sellers are doing that, but I didn’t realize this was one of them!!! They must have just added those photos. Def not my product and I’m not modeling it!! (But it’s still a pretty cute romper for a great price!) 😉

Yes! My daughter will sometimes forget to select the address and I will get random boxes of things at home that were clearly her purchases, ha! As for Apple Watch – it did take some time to optimize for me as well, but I LOVE mine. Current favorite feature is having the vibration on when using maps. Sometimes the volume in the car with chit chat, etc gets too loud and I don’t always hear the directions and honestly I am looking at the road, not the map! Getting that little tap-tap on my wrist when an exit or turn is coming up is SO useful! I have had my watch for 3 years, but just realized this feature recently. I do believe you need to be using the Maps app and not Waze for this to work.

  4. How does this checkered tote compare to the Barrington bags? Thinking this could be a good swap if I want to splurge on some of the smaller Barrington bags… thoughts?

Great question! The barrington totes are canvas with real leather straps and bottom. These are faux-leather overall and a sturdier shape. My Barrington totes last for years and years, but I’m not sure about the longevity of these yet. They’re really really good lookalikes!!

Hi 🙂 Just wondering about your thoughts in creating your profile for Amazon shop for all your purchased/recommendations? Really don’t know much but there are other bloggers who have an account, to help their followers find their Amazon past/present picks all in one place. Not adding this to create more work, what you have done and doing has been absolutely wonderful! Thank!
