Welcome back to a new week, lovebugs! The teen and I have one last college tour this morning, but it looks like he’s chosen a school! It’s been an amazing weekend…not only because of the one-on-one time we’ve spent together, but also the newfound peace I have about him going away to school in the Fall.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s going to be brutal, and I’ll miss him like crazy…but he’s going to be okay. I’ll be okay. I know that now. And I’m grateful for the peace and clarity we both found this weekend. I’m sure my emotions will flip-flop 87 times before now and then, but right now, I’m excited about what lies ahead.
Today on the blog it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. I hope they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.
And with Spring weather being so fickle, there’s a lot of light layers…starting with one of my go-to jackets for Spring and Fall. You know I’m passionate about utility jackets, in fact, I shared 15 ways to wear them here. The olive hue goes with just about everything, plus the style adds a bit of ruggedness to outfits. This leopard sweater has been a fave for years, and is so soft and comfy I find myself reaching for it often.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS jacket, but sized up to a small in the sweater for a relaxed fit.

Another go-to on chilly Spring days, this ruffle neck sweater is soft and light…and of course, I’m smitten for the vibrant pink. I paired it with tortoise and leopard to cut the sweetness a little.
Fit Tip: I sized up one to a small for a relaxed fit.

No I’m not wearing my daughter’s pajamas…but who says our PJs can’t be cute and fun, too!? Tons of patterns available, but I love the pink and purple combo of these. Plus, they’re super comfy.
Fit Tip: I sized up one to a small. They do shrink in length a little when washed.

Several travel styles this month…starting with these fun new camo joggers! The sandblasted material is so soft and light, perfect for travel and running around town. I paired it with soft fleece and my trusty jean jacket for a casual, but cute, travel day. And for the second trip in a row, I managed to fit everything I needed in a carry-on!! (eBags make it happen!)
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS joggers, but would prefer a size down. The pullover and jacket are both XS.

Many of my daily outfits never make it past my Instagram Story…do you follow those? It’s a lot of the silly, mundane, day-to-day, and family life…with some easy outfits thrown in, too. Like this striped tee and button-fly jeans…so simple, but perfect for a regular #momlife day.
Fit Tip: The tee is XS and jeans are a great mid-rise with a lot of comfy stretch. I’m wearing a 2.

Fit Tip: The tee and jacket are true, I wear an XS, but I’d recommend sizing down in the pants. The sneakers are true for me, too.

We had an early flight home from NYC, so it was cozy joggers and pullover for me. And shocker, my jean jacket! And if you use code HISUGARPLUM, it ships free!
