Amazon Fashion Finds | January

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend!! I’m a little less excited for this weekend since Mr. College is headed back to school. It’s been a wonderful winter break with him home, and being able to see him every day.

His departure doesn’t have near the sting it did the first time (read about that goodbye experience HERE), but my heart definitely aches a little every time he leaves. Having a college student back home certainly comes with challenges, balancing independence with family life, but as a mom, nothing beats having the four of us together.

But let’s move on to one of your favorite monthly series, and the first of this new year, my Amazon Fashion Finds! I started these Fashion Finds over two years ago, and they quickly became reader-faves. It takes some intense digging to find the good stuff, but I love the challenge of discovering such gems! And remember, I’d never share anything with you that I wouldn’t wear myself, or recommend to my best friend!

Sizing info: I’m 5’4″ 125-ish pounds, and usually wear an XS/0 and 26 jeans. My fit tips and sizing recommendations are included with each description. 

Sweaters //

We’ll kick it off with one of my fave sweater finds of the month… this one is incredibly soft, and the perfect medium weight for wearing at home, or layering for cold winter days. It has a mock roll-neck, and a side slit for wearing out or half-tucked.

Another super cozy option, this oversized sweater has the cutest windowpane pattern, plus a cowl neck and relaxed fit. It’s incredibly soft, in a stretchy material that’s not bulky or stiff.

Tunic sweaters are always in high-demand this time of year, and especially now that we’re living in leggings! This tunic sweater is incredibly warm and thick, with a tall neck and long length that fully covers the bum. Wear it long, or half-tucked in your jeans.

Here’s the same sweater in a beautiful camel color I paired with leggings. I love that it fully covers the bum in a slightly fitted shape, without overwhelming my frame.

Let’s pause the sweater talk for a second, because these leggings deserve a post all their own!! I actually bought the Spanx leggings last month to see what the fuss was about…. but didn’t love them! While I appreciate good compression, I literally broke a sweat getting them on, and felt overly restricted the whole time. Plus, the price point is a little steep.

But I love the idea of the Spanx leggings, so I scoured Amazon looking for a similar option, and totally hit the jackpot with these! They are supportive, without being restrictive, and even have the same textured sheen. They aren’t available in short length like Spanx, but I easily remedied that by cuffing them under. I’ll wear them with sneakers and boots for day or night styles.

This sweater had me at stripes! It’s a cotton-blend in a classic mock neck fit, and can be styled both preppy and sporty. It comes in the cutest blue stripes, too, which are perfect for spring.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small, but would prefer a size up for more room through the shoulders.

Another darling striped option, this wool blend sweater is warm and soft with the cutest preppy buttons up the shoulder. It’s a relaxed fit and great quality!

Pullovers, Activewear & Outerwear //

I’ve never met a hoodie I didn’t love… throw in stripes, and it’s ‘add to cart’ for me! This pullover is crazy-good quality, in the softest cotton with a fleece lining. Pair it with jeans, joggers, or workout wear, you’ll want it in every color!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small, definitely size up one. I might even order another in a medium for a super-relaxed fit with leggings.

Sherpa is pretty much my love language this time of year, and this pullover is as warm and soft as they come! Strategic seams give it a more flattering fit, and I love the tall collar and pockets. I have it several colors, but am smitten with this new pink!

Fit Tip: I normally wear a small, but sized up to a medium in this one for pairing with leggings.

This photo has two keepers for me… first up, the classic crewneck pullover in a sturdy yet soft sweatshirt material. It’s a staple for pairing with everything from jeans to pajamas.

The joggers are another incredible find… they’re a cross between leggings and pants, in the softest nylon material. (They feel pretty much identical to the Lulu joggers!) I love them for being active or lounging, because sometimes a girl needs a break from leggings!

Puffer vests are one of my favorite layering pieces this time of year… they add warmth and color, without the same bulk as a jacket. This quilted vest is a great weight and shape, and you can’t beat the price!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small in the vest, and small in the hoodie top.

Our winter has been fairly mild so far, but we still get the occasional super-cold day. I’ve tried the famous ‘Amazon Coat,’ but it was just so bulky and heavy it overwhelmed my frame. This one, however, somehow manages to be lightweight, but incredibly warm! It’s lined with the softest material, and has a stylish, yet effective, faux-fur lined hood. I also love the drawstring for a more feminine and flattering fit. Oh, and you won’t believe the price!

Athletic Wear //

I’ve been singing the praises of these leggings for years… they have the softest ‘naked’ fit, with a high waist that never rolls down. I have them in both full-length and cropped, and reach for them more than any other for workouts and lounging. This new print is so fun!

As for the top…. it’s a sport bra and tank in one, and one of my favorite workout tops! It has built in cups, great support, and a longer length perfect for pairing with high-waisted leggings.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS top and XS leggings.

But if you prefer a thicker legging with compression, these are for you! They keep everything smoothed and ‘locked in’! I love the cropped length and side pocket, perfect for your phone or keys. They are a mid-rise with an adjustable band for a snug fit around the waist.

Tops & Blouses //

For those of you headed to the office… or just need to look like you are (I’ll never tell!), this blouse is perfect for trousers, skirts, and even jeans. It has the cutest open neckline and smocked collar. It’s longer with a flowy shape, so you can wear it tucked or loose with jeans.

I love a good bodysuit for layering under blazers, sweaters, cardigans and more. This one is so incredibly well-made, it’s also perfect worn on its own for an easy and sassy night out style. The material is smooth and soft, with great stretch and the perfect sheen. Definitely a new closet staple for me!

Pajamas & Lounge //

I was never much of a robe person… until last year! Now I savor that moment when I step out of a steamy shower and into a warm and cozy robe! I usually prefer shorter robes, but this one is so luxe and soft, it’s impossible not to love! It’s comes folded super-compact, so it’s an easy gift, too!
