Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! What plans do you have brewing? We have Mr. College home for a quick overnight, so that’s always a treat to see him. Little Miss is finally feeling more like herself, which has us all relieved. I hate that I’ll now be watching her volleyball games with a new anxiety!
Today I’ve got a fun post for you, and my beauty junkies are hopefully going to love it! Beauty is a big topic around here, with Sephora Hauls, tutorials, and new product reviews being some of the most popular. But just because I love all things Nars, tarte, Olehenriksen and more… doesn’t mean I don’t have a cabinet full of drugstore products I rely on and use daily!
In fact, in some cases, I prefer the budget find over the pricier counterpart. I just refreshed several products this week, and realized I have a handful of beauty buys I re-order on the regular… and all for a steal on Amazon! Some of these products are new finds I’m obsessed with, but many I’ve ordered so many times over the years I’ve lost count.

one. Hair Clips // Have a cowlick or hairs with a mind of their own? Tame those beasts with these little clips! Just place them on warm, freshly dried hair, and a few minutes later… no more cowlick! They don’t leave any creases or folds either, so they’re also good for pinning your hair back while applying makeup or skincare.
two. Redness Relief Eye Drops // These miracle drops turn red, bloodshot eyes bright white in mere seconds!! It’s truly magic. I especially love them on photoshoot days to make my eyes appear bright and clear.
three. Mascara // Next to lipstick, mascara is my favorite makeup product… and I’ve tried a lot! This $5 formula holds up to any high-dollar mascara on the market, and even surpasses most of them! I reach for it more than any other, and am constantly asked if I have extensions. Seriously, check the overwhelming reviews and try it for yourself!
four. Mascara Primer // A newer addition to my routine, this primer will double the volume and length of your lashes! I compared it against the ‘holy grail’ department store primer, and this was the hands down winner. It glides on smoothly, evenly coating lashes with a thick coat of primer. Once it dries, follow it with the Essence mascara for insane lashes. Seriously, try the combo and come tell me what you think!
five. Collagen Peptides // You bet your strong nails I consider collagen a necessary beauty buy! Our body’s natural collagen production starts to slow around 30, so this helps to sustain the vitality of our skin, nails, hair, and joints. I think it also gives my digestion a boost, which helps with bloating, too. I’ve been adding a scoop to my morning coffee for years.
six. Body Lotion // I am super fussy when it comes to body lotion, and I hit the jackpot with this one. It absorbs quickly, but leaves just a touch of sheen to my skin that makes it glow! It’s also super hydrating, with a light coconut scent. Plus, it only takes a little, so the big bottle lasts for months.
seven. Body Wash // The first time Mama Sugarplum stayed at the Sugar Shack, she immediately called for the scoop on our body wash (I display it in these bottles, so she didn’t have a label to look at). It lathers great and leaves skin so soft, but even better, it smells incredible. It reminds me of the products at Westin hotels… if you know, you know.
eight. Neck & Chest Cream // Time is not being kind to my turkey neck, so I’m always down to try new products! This one had insane reviews, so I tried it out for a Monday Mail Day, and I’m convinced it’s helping with the loose, crepey skin on my neck! It’s likely not changing my skin permanently, but the product definitely smooths and tightens while I’ve got it on.
nine. Foaming Facial Cleanser // My beloved Colleen Rothschild Gel Cleanser has been out of stock so long I was forced to find a replacement. This one came highly recommended from my dermatologist (not to mention has crazy-good reviews), and I was thrilled after only one use. It foams up a little for a gentle but complete clean that doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dry. My teens have started using it, too, and it’s great for their acne-prone skin.
ten. Acne Patches // These pimple patches work like magic to make your zits disappear overnight! Literally. Just pop them on before bed and say goodbye to the blemish the next morning.
eleven. Dermaplane Razors // You knew these would make the list, right?! My favorite razors for at-home dermaplaning (find my tutorial HERE), they’re super sharp and leave skin exfoliated, smooth, and glowing. I’ve tried a slew of brands, but these are the sharpest and easiest to use.
twelve. Argan Oil Hair Mask // This is one of those products that blows your mind after a single use. It will transform your hair to smooth, shiny and silky, and you’ll wonder how in the world it’s so affordable!
thirteen. Exfoliator Mit // Like the skin on our face, it’s just as important to exfoliate our body, too. This helps slough off all the dead and dry skin, leaving a smooth foundation for hydration… all of which gives your skin a more supple, youthful appearance. This has been my go-to for years, and is especially good before self-tanning. (See my tutorial for a natural, streak-free tan at home HERE.)
fourteen. Reusable Silicone Mask Cover // Warning: this will creep your family out when you wear it! But you won’t believe the difference it makes in your sheet masks! Layer it over a sheet mask to keep it in place without drying out… making the mask twice as effective! Then just rinse it off for next time.
fifteen. Nail Polish Dry Drops // I love a good salon pedicure, but do my own nails 90% of the time. I keep them short and just refresh the color once a week. This top coat dries any polish almost instantly, allowing me to paint and go with no nicks or smudges. Plus, it’s got a great high-gloss shine!
sixteen. Collagen Masks // These sheet masks are hands down the best for hydrating dry, tired skin. I use them even more in the winter months for extra hydration.
A day doesn’t go by I don’t use several of these products, and I order them all on repeat. Have any of these made it to your Amazon cart? Have you discovered anything new I should try?! Happy weekend, lovebugs!
