White Tee | Floral Skirt

Well, today marks the last laid-back, easy-going, no-schedule Monday of the Summer. This time next week we’ll be scrambling out the door for school…hopefully with smiles and excitement! #yeahright #amomcandream

So needless to say, we are soaking up these final days of Summer this week, but I’m excited to share a fun {5 Ways} with the anything-but-basic white tee. Every day this week, I’ll style a new outfit around the perfect white t-shirt. No question it’s a wardrobe staple for casual, no-brainer outfits…but it’s also the perfect base for so much more!

I’m kicking it off with one of my favorites…paired with a colorful skirt and jean jacket, you’ve got the perfect preppy-chic outfit for everything from work to brunch. Normally I’d pair this skirt with a colorful gingham, but the white tee allows me to kick the shoes up a notch, without going into pattern overload. (Who am I kidding?! Of course I’d wear the skirt with gingham and striped shoes! But the white tee is such a clean combo with the floral.)

Fit Tip: The tee runs true-to-size with a relaxed fit, and I’m wearing an XS (it washes & dries like a dream…I have multiple colors). The skirt runs a little big in the waist, so I sized down to a regular 00. If you prefer above-the-knee skirts, choose the petite sizing, but stick with your usual size.

Remember when I was on the cover of Redbook? #toottoot The makers of the shoes I wore in the pictures were so thrilled they gifted me with any pair from their collection. For nostalgic reasons, I was going to choose the exact pair from my photoshoot, but these striped ones were too tempting. Even still, it’s a sweet reminder of that fabulous experience.

This outfit would be equally darling with a solid color sandal or flat…and even a neutral pump. Heck, there are so many options, I could create an entire {5 Ways} just around this skirt! But this week is all about the white tee, and hopefully these posts will help you mix it in your closet in new ways. How would you wear this skirt? Do you have a perfect white tee in your closet?
