Happy Friday, friends, and welcome to the weekend! We’re all a little bummed it’s the final weekend of summer break for Sloan, but excited because Mr. College is headed home for the final few weeks of his break! You know I’ll be squeezing in as much family time as they’ll allow!
In other news, this also marks the final few days of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! After Sunday, the prices will return to full-price, so if you’ve had your eye on something, now is your last chance to grab it up to 40% off.
I use it mostly as the chance to stock up on my go-to products, and replace my tired closet staples. Today I’m sharing the pieces I actually shopped and took home with me!

My NSale Fashion Buys //
White tees have a limited shelf life around here, so I always take advantage of the special NSale pricing to refresh my favorite scoopneck tees. They’re made of the softest fabric, are a great length, and are only $13! They introduced a new V-Neck style this year, too, and I grabbed it in the fun lilac color.
Fit Tip: Both are TTS, so choose based on how you prefer your tees to fit. I’m wearing a size Small.
The denim was really good in this year’s NSale, and I found several great styles with a flattering and comfortable fit.

Mama SP makes a beeline to the lounge section every year specifically for these pajamas! They’re her absolute favorites, and the price is so crazy-good during the NSale! They’re lightweight jersey knit with a cool, silky finish, and the prints and colors are so cute.
Fit Tip: We’re both wearing size XS, but I’d size up in the shorts version.

As for activewear, these Zella styles are hands-down my favorite… followed by these super comfy sneaks!
You know Nordstrom delivers when it comes to athletic wear, and mom and I had the hardest time narrowing it down! This new lilac was my favorite, and I wanted pretty much every style in it! The leggings are buttery soft with the perfect 7/8 length for my frame, and even pockets to hold your phone. I love their longline bras for a tank-meets-sports bra fit.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small in both.

I don’t usually keep sweaters this early in the season, but I did hold on to this open front cardi because I’m so smitten with the color, and I know I’ll wear it on repeat this fall.

A no-brainer flutter top that easily dresses up or down, the neck is a stretchy smocking with darling ruffle details. It’s a woven material with either a cute print or textured dot. The black pants were an exciting find since great-fitting black trousers are so hard to find! They’re crazy soft and stretchy, in a nice thick material and flattering wide leg.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS top and regular 2 in the pant.

Every closet should have a military/utility jacket… period! They are the best Fall layer for everything from light sweaters and tops to transitional dresses. Plus, the style adds a touch of edge that make outfits so stylish. This new cotton twill is a great option, with a hidden drawstring waist to give a more flattering and feminine fit, and the price is bananas!!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS jacket and size 2 jeans.

My NSale Shoe Buys //
Nordstrom really knocked it out of the park in the shoe department this year! I basically refreshed every major shoe category in my closet, and kept all these… ooops!
I tried on no fewer than 30 pairs of shoes, and these were the styles that stood out most to me.
Fit Tip: All were true-to-size except the ballet flats, which I sized down half.

My NSale Beauty Buys //
Besides shoes, beauty was my other favorite category in this year’s NSale. I stocked up on several favorites I use and reach for daily, and was especially excited to see one of my favorite summer face sunscreens included! This gives the best beachy glow… I wear it alone, or mixed with foundation or tinted moisturizer. I also stocked up on my go-to texturizing spray while it’s still on sale.
My NSale Home Buys //
No surprise here, but I grabbed two more of my favorite throws for the lake house! They are insanely soft, with the cutest tassel trim. It comes in a ton of colors, launders well, and is a great price during the NSale. They make perfect gifts, too!
My NSale Splurges //
Outside of the closet staples and beauty restocks, I did splurge on two very unexpected finds… and I couldn’t be happier about them! First up, this Barefoot Dreams set! It’s truly like being wrapped in a heavenly hug. Think about it, head-to-toe Barefoot Dreams goodness, in a chic lounge set!

These shirts are a splurge, but I assure you worth every penny! I treated myself to one last year, and reach for it all the time (with jeans, over a swimsuit, thrown on with cut-offs). It’s so lightweight and gauzy, you barely feel it on your body, and it’s perfectly relaxed. It’s hard to describe until you’ve tried it for yourself, but there’s a reason they have such incredible reviews.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small.

I bought the utility jacket in navy and the open front cardi in white. I’m trying to be very careful about what I add to my overstuffed closet. I just gave away 10 items to help balance my purchases.

I bought the Pistola jeans based on your prior recommendation and I love them — thank you! It always helps to see them on a person in a real outfit and have a recommendation. I can be between sizes in jeans. I ordered the bigger size and they were a little too big, but when they came the smaller size was sold out (why didn’t I just order both sizes, right??!!). I checked a few times but my smaller size was never restocked. Funny story, I got up to go the bathroom at 2am recently and thought, “I should check for those jeans.” They had a bunch of sizes including one pair in my smaller size! So, I guess my Nsale tip is to check in the middle of the night if you’re hoping for a re-stock :).
