{Top Ten} April

I don’t know about you, but April just flew by, don’t you think?! I’m not too mad about that, actually, because I can’t wait for what May has in store…starting with speaking at the Bloom Workshop today! I met up with my darling friend, Jen, yesterday in Florida, and am so excited to spend the week with her, as part of the gorgeous workshop. I’m sure I’ll recap it here, but follow along on Instagram for peeks now, if you’d like.

Some weeks days it seems I’m doing nothing but chasing a To Do List, or playing catch-up, so it’s nice to take a moment each month and look back at the projects and content I managed to create. So just in case you have a finicky router (like me!), here’s the top posts from April.

Obviously pink is mah signachuh culla (#namethatmovie), & it always manages
to find it’s way to most every outfit. I’m particularly smitten with the fresh combo of
blush pink & white, and styled it for Work to Weekend.

It was Girls Gone Wild at a blogger conference I attended. If lots of tacos
and in-bed-before-midnight is considered wild. But we sure looked cute doing it!

Last month also had another round of Sugarplum Style, and everyone’s favorite, Dressing Room Diaries. Both of which have nifty little graphics in the sidebar, so you can catch up on them anytime. I also threw in a quick Five Under $50 and Ramblings, featuring fun new things I’ve got my eye on.

(Sidenote: I also updated my Sugarplum Picks to reflect what I’m loving and wearing these days. You can check it out anytime using the shopping bag graphic in the sidebar.)

May is sure to be another fun one, with more Spring style inspiration, showing off some home makeover progress, and a dream trip straight from my bucket list!! Thank you so much for stopping by when you do…your support and comments mean the world to me! Especially for yesterday’s post…you totally made my Mom’s month!

{Top Ten} April?! Already??? How is it May? How do we have just five more weeks of school? How did Kate look that good only 10 hours after having her second royal baby?! And how long do we have to wait for her name?! So many questions!

April was a crazy month, mostly consumed with the {One Room Challenge}, but we did manage to slip some other projects, and a bit of fashion, in the mix. For those who took a blog-reading sabbatical, here’s the {Top Ten} posts of the last month.

Hi Sugarplum | Top 10 April

We kicked the month off with Week 1 of the {One Room Challenge}, followed by Weeks 2-5 with the design boards, floor plan, new wall color, bedding & pillows, and drapes! Whew! Stay tuned…the final reveal is coming up Wednesday! #Lordwilling

I stepped outside my comfort zone with a body-conscience dress…then styled it two ways in Day to Night.
I created these quirky planters, along with five other recycled projects, for a fun Earth Day feature in Parade’s Community Table.
Banish those pale legs with my tips & tricks for sunless tanning.

It’s finally warm again, so I shared my tips for How To Transition to Spring.
Look for Less has become one of the most popular posts, and there were some good ones in this latest round-up.
Our sweet Babygirl celebrated her birthday with another Art Party…complete with a colorful Splatter Cake.

Hi Sugarplum | Top 10 April

Here’s {5 Ways} to Wear Maxi Dresses..some of which you might not have thought of!
We built this Console Table. Like with our own four hands. Except it was so easy, you really can’t call it building…nor does it require four hands.
Aye-aye-aye…tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo! Here’s a fun table I set for a recent fiesta dinner party.
And finally, we had Vol. 12 of Sugarplum Style…that mostly involved me recycling my favorite military jacket every other day.

May is set to be a doozy…we’ve got the Master Bedroom reveal, final Kitchen reno updates, more fun Spring fashion, and a couple of trips planned! I hope you’ll follow along! Happy Monday, lovebugs!

  4. Looking so good! I have those double folding doors from my master to the on suite and I've been debating having a sliding door built. It would definitely have to be a painted door I think but I'm seriously thinking it would make me happier. Yea for a couple trip…that sounds amazing!

{Top Ten} April

It feels like I was absent from blogging for most of April, but when I looked back, I realized we were busy-bees around the house before our trip! In case you passed out along the way (surely this joke will get old sooner or later?), here’s a recap of April’s hot projects.
Hi Sugarplum | {Top Ten} April
Color exploded in the pan for this Rainbow Swirl Cake.
Our family’s Command Center got an update thanks to Martha.
Being the Southern Belle I am, I had to have some dramatics at the start of our trip.
Hi Sugarplum | {Top Ten} April
Our Patio is bright, cheery, and ready for Summer.
A fun new series had some favorite bloggers answering 20 Questions…this is Barbara Walters level interviewing!
Hi Sugarplum | {Top Ten} April
It was a year-long project, but the Dining Room finally has fabulous New Drapes.
I shared the first leg of our Italian adventure…magical Venice.
Hi Sugarplum | {Top Ten} April
Thanks to Command’s new products, my aunt has a snazzy new Organized Dog Station.
I’m still pairing Stripes & Florals, and loving it.
Babygirl celebrated 7 years…with another Rainbow Art Party.
What was your favorite project this month? Lots more planned for May, so ya’ll come back now, ya’hear?!

    • Becky!! I;m so jealous you're on the way to Florence! It's a little hectic around the train station, so don't let that throw you. Here's my tips:

      1. Trattoria ZaZa and Caffe Italiano were great.
      2. Venchi and Vivoli were amazing gelatos.
      3. Wander the Ponte Vechio at dusk, as the sun sets.
      4. You can walk to the top of the Duomo or Bell Tower.
      5. Piazza Michelangelo on the other side of the river, great view of the city. Little cafe a good spot for a drink at sunset.
      6. A hidden gem: Renascente Department store has a rooftop cafe, in the shadow of the Duomo. Great view!
      7. We had lunch at a really busy stall in the Mercado and it was great.

      Have fun!!

Hi Cassie! We had great time in Florence and covered 1-4! More restaurants than time! I was thinking it would have been fun if we were in Florence at the same time! Then we could have met and I could have said thank you in person. It was so sweet of you to reply. Our trip continues to Switzerland and Paris, but I wanted you to know how much I appreciated your thoughtfulness!

    Becky 🙂
