Hi Sugarplum!

Target Haul + New Home Finds

March 2, 2022

Happy hump day, friends! I hope your week is going well and you’ve found moments of peace. It’s so hard to reconcile the routine of our normal daily lives with huge world hurt, and I find myself feeling about 100 emotions a day. If you’re experiencing the same, just know you aren’t alone.

I’ve been doing my fair share of online browsing lately, and one retailer that’s absolutely nailing the style game is Target! I never have any problem finding darling home decor, but this month the fashion is what had me clicking ‘add to cart’.

I try to limit my Target runs, but only because it gets me into trouble every.single.time. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve managed to spend under $100. It’s almost impossible!! Surely I’m not the only one?!

To protect my pocketbook, I stuck with online for this scouting session. Their website pics don’t do most pieces any justice, so much of my order came as a pleasant surprise, and I think you’ll agree!

Sugarplum Sizing: I’m 5’4″, 125-ish pounds, and my usual size is XS/2 and a 26 jean.

I tend to lean towards dresses this time of year… they give you the feeling of Spring, while also keeping you covered. Plus, they have a better chance of fitting than separates. This shirt dress was my favorite find of the bunch, made of a cotton blend, it’s soft and flowy, with a flattering a-line shape. The print looks high-end, and the colors are great for transitioning seasons.

I added the belt for a little more style, but it’s darling without, too.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS

Floral Shirt Midi Dress | Slide Sandals (size up half) | Gold Bead Bracelets | Belt | Straw Tote | Round Sunglasses

Here’s the same dress in a different pattern, and worn unbelted. It has subtle pleats at the waist to give it a feminine shape.

Floral Shirt Midi Dress | Braided Heels (TTS) | Crossbody Bag | Gold Bead Bracelets | Straw Tote | Round Sunglasses

This eyelet dress was a total surprise and showstopper! It could easily pass for a high-end designer, without the designer price tag. Made of a sturdy cotton, it has fun statement sleeves and comes in the prettiest vibrant colors.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS

Eyelet Puff Sleeve Dress | Braided Heels (TTS) | Bangle Bracelets | Straw Tote | Round Sunglasses

This top was an immediate hit for me, and I ended up wearing it all day yesterday! (It was 70 degrees, after all!) Made of a gauzy rayon, it’s lightweight and flowy, with a button front and elastic 3/4 sleeve.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS

Floral Henley Top | Straight Leg Jeans | Gold Bead Bracelets | Round Sunglasses

I love the color and feel of this wrap dress, especially the flutter sleeves, but it does need either a low bra or a little cami. It’s a true wrap style, and in a lightweight, gauzy material that moves beautifully.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS

Faux Wrap Midi Dress | Slide Sandals (size up half) | Bangle Bracelets | Gold Hoop Earrings | Round Sunglasses

This sweet floral is grounded in black, and is perfect for transitioning into a different season. Just add a jean jacket, and you’re good to go for March in Texas! The top has operational buttons, and the smocking at the sleeves give them a little shape.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS

Button Midi Dress | Slide Sandals (size up half) | Gold Bead Bracelets | Gold Hoop Earrings | Hat

This print is so cute, don’t you think?! It’s a cotton blend with a soft, but crisp feel. It has full balloon sleeves and a wide shape through the body, giving it a relaxed, oversized fit.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS

Balloon Sleeve Blouse | White Jeans | Gold Bead Bracelets | Round Sunglasses

This jumpsuit is a total departure from my usual style, but I think it’s absolutely adorable! It’s made of a soft, lightweight fabric that’s not stiff or bulky (many jumpsuits in this style are made of a heavy denim, making them tricky to wear). Elastic at the waist gives it a more flattering fit, and the shoulder detail keeps it feminine.

Fit Tip: I’m in an XS, and it’s almost too short in the stride. I’d size up if in-between or tall.

Utility Jumpsuit | Slide Sandals (size up half) | Gold Bead Bracelets | Gold Hoop Earrings | Hat

This gauzy maxi dress would be perfect for Easter! I love the print and colors, and the pretty details like the smocked sleeve, drawstring waist, and flutter hem.

Tie Waist Maxi Dress | Braided Heels (TTS) | Gold Bead Bracelets  | Straw Tote | Round Sunglasses

Did you notice the fun accessories I found at Target, too? This tote could easily pass for a designer bag four times the price!! The crossbodies are fun for spring and summer dresses and skirts, and the sandals are almost identical to these… but for a fraction of the price (and just as comfy!).

Straw Tote | Crossbody Bag | Slim Crossbody Bag | Braided Heels (TTS)

And while their fashion game is strong, the home department continues to deliver home runs, too! These lanterns would be perfect on a porch, and this pedestal bowl couldn’t be cuter! I also want about 10 of these ferns to place all over the house! Here are a few more great decor finds on my radar…

1. Mirror // 2. Rattan Chandelier
3. Framed Art // 4. Faux Potted Fern
5. Dish Towels // 6. Planter
7. Bathtub Tray // 8. Ottoman Bench
9. Picture Frame // 10. Set of Pouches
11. Doormat // 12. Wreath

So much good stuff, right?! It’s no wonder I go overboard every time I head to Target. What about you… is Target your weakness, too? What awesome Target finds have you discovered lately?

I switched to in-store/drive-up. I would literally drop $100 every.single.time. I walked into Target. I do miss browsing though. Cute finds!
