{Sugarplum Style Tip} Say Hello to Longer Legs

Monday so soon!? How is it each weekend blows by faster than the last? I hope yours was grand. Ours was full of family time outside, and take-out on the couch…so pretty much perfect.

You know I’m all about stretching your wardrobe…mixing and matching clothes to create new looks, swapping out accessories to transition outfits between seasons, and working your closet overtime to take your clothes from work to weekend and day to night. Today I’m excited to kick off a new series, Sugarplum Style Tips, sharing more ideas for giving your style that extra something-something.

We’re kicking it off with a pretty cool product I discovered, and after trying it out for about six weeks, I just had to share it with you! But it’s really only for those of us who want longer, slimmer legs, and perkier bums. If you already have that, then you might not be interested. We also can no longer be friends. 😉

Hi Sugarplum | Invisible Heel Shoe Lifts

Did I get your attention yet? Then say hello to longer legs.

Hi Sugarplum | Invisible Heel Shoe Lifts

No really, that’s the name of it…Say Hello to Longer Legs…celebrity stylist’s best-kept secret.

Hi Sugarplum | Invisible Heel Shoe Lifts

These invisible heels are made of durable memory foam, and simply slip in to any shoe to give you up to 2-inches of additional height…instantly slimming and lengthening your legs, and lifting your butt. Basically my new best friend.

Hi Sugarplum | Invisible Heel Shoe Lifts

There are three heights to choose from, depending on your shoes and how much lift you want…I went with the original 1.5-inch invisible heels specifically designed for above-the-ankle shoes. And of course, was skeptical of their claims, but who am I to argue with celebrity stylists?!

But after wearing them with a slew of different shoes over the past month, I’m now convinced! But see for yourself…here I am with and without them.

Warning: lots of butt-shots ahead.

Not only do I like the added boost of height (without the strain of a high-heel), but it’s a relief to see my butt lifted off the back of my thighs again.

Another bonus that I didn’t even realize until seeing these pics, is it instantly lifts my posture, and forces me to stand taller and straighter. #chronicslumper Notice I’m standing the exact same way, with feet in same position, but my shoulders are more naturally back, and my legs thinner. #butstillbowlegged #theyaremagicnotmiracleworkers

Low-ankle shoes like these tennies would probably be better with a shorter insert, but they work fine if you can skip socks. I only have the single 1.5-inch pair and rotate them between shoes.

They aren’t squishy like foam, but definitely comfortable to wear all day.

Hi Sugarplum | Invisible Heel Shoe Lifts

Okay, I can feel you all staring at my butt and it’s starting to get awkward. And of course it killed me to keep this outfit so basic, but I wanted the focus to remain on the power of the invisible heels. You know if I were actually wearing a sweater and jeans, it’d look more like these outfits.

So what do you think? Do you see a difference? An improvement? Have you tried these Say Hello to Longer Legs before?

  4. Do they slip around in you boots when you are putting them on? Your legs looks sooo long and the gap is still awesome!!!!

    • Let's not carried away…I'm too short for my legs to look all that long! 😉 But no, they don't slip around at all. They fit snuggly in the heel of the shoe and stay all day!

  5. I sooo have to have those. I wonder if I can in the UK. They certainly look like they make you look longer and leaner.

Do they make your shoes fit differently? Is it harder to keep the backs of the shoes on?

    Posted 2.22.16 Reply
    • Good questions! So, in my taller boots, they did make them fit a little tighter across the top of the foot…because my foot was essentially 'fatter' thanks to the lift. As for lower-ankle shoes…the only ones my heel kind of popped up were the tennies. But not enough to hinder my walking. The shorter lifts would prob be best in low-ankle shoes, but I just wanted to order one pair, and not diff sizes for every shoe. You know? I hope this helps!

I love you so much for sharing this with us — I need to know how they feel in your shoes?
Also — I cannot believe that they still make Tretorn sneakers — I had the pink pair in high school — one of my favorite sneakers ever….I need to order them for spring soon!

    • I'm thrilled you liked it, Darcy! They aren't squishy like a gel insert, definitely more firm. Maybe in time they'll mold to my foot, but not sure. Says they're made of a patented memory foam material. I notice them when I first put my shoe on, but then I forget about them, and wear comfortably all day. It's such a let down to remember I'm actually short when I do take them off! 😉 And yes to the Tretorns…totally old school!

If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you without the lifts? I am 5'3" and wondering if I should try the 1.5" or the 2"?? I also only want to buy one set, but want to be able to use them for practically ALL my shoes! This is the greatest find!!!

    Posted 2.23.16 Reply
    • Hi Amanda! I'm just shy of 5'4" tall, and have the 1.5-inch lifts. It's tempting to get the taller ones, but I don't think they'd work well in all your shoes. The shorter or middle ones are most adaptable for lots of different ankle-height shoes. Hope this helps! xo

  19. Ermahgawd!!! I'm totally getting these! I have short legs and my ass has become too close of friends with the back of my thighs the past couple of years. It's time they de-friend each other.

At 5'8" I don't need the height, but man my booty could use a lift! I may have to try a short pair.

Just got mine in the mail today…I ordered the same ones that Cassie got. I'm 5'1" and this size seems perfect. They're super comfortable and add just the right amount of lift. I think I'm in love!

So I bought these after wearing LiftKits4Chicks brand for the past 2 years. I will agree that they both add height but I just prefer my Lift Kits over the Hello longer legs.

The longer legs aren't adjustable like the LiftKits are. Sometimes I want to wear the 1.25 inch but sometimes I want to only wear the half inch. I love that I am able to choose what height I want with LiftKits, with Longer Legs you're stuck with whatever size you bought. With the liftkits you get two different lifts in one and you choose what works best. I don't like that longer legs makes you buy all these different sizes and spend more money than you need to.

Plus the Longer Legs version, even with the top layer cushion, is harder on my feet than the liftkits are. Overall the Longer Legs do work, I just prefer my LiftKits because they are more comfortable on my feet for 12 hours.

Anyway, thank you to the companies that are helping us girls. I needed these years ago.
