Happy, happy, Friday! However, this is one week I’m not ready to see end! We’ve had a glorious time exploring Yellowstone and Montana, and the last few days have been full of family pre-wedding activities. I’ve touched on this aspect of my family dynamic before, so you know this time spent together is extra special.
Tonight is the wedding, and I’m honored to stand up for my sister as she marries a truly kind, honorable, funny man, who adores her to pieces. Really, what more could any of us want for our friends, sisters, and daughters? Our little one is the flower girl, and has been watching their affection for each other all week. I pray she files these solid, supportive relationships away in her heart, and uses them as examples for her own future relationship.
That’s enough sap for one day…let’s talk Fashion! You guys have seen this dress a few times in the past few months…it’s served me well several times, including the Dallas Style Conference, our Alaskan cruise, and again last night for the rehearsal dinner.
This isn’t a typical 3 Ways post where I show you completely different looks, or how to wear it Day to Night. So far this has been an evenings-only dress for me, but of course I don’t wear it the same way every time. The black and white color palette means pretty much anything goes…and the graphic print keeps it anything but basic.

I love how just the swapping of shoes and accessories can make the dress chic, playful or even a little sexy. The leopard gave the whimsical dress a bit of grown-up sex appeal, which was perfect for dinner on the cruise. I could also easily transition it to day by following this formula or this one.
And since I’m always looking for new ways to wear old things, I paired the dress with these shoes for last night’s rehearsal dinner. Sassy, if I do say so myself! Which way is your favorite? Happy weekend, love bugs!
Update: This dress isn’t exactly evening, but how can you pass on that price? And this one looks super comfy, but still so stylish!
You in that striped dress is perfection, and I love all of the different ways you mixed it up! I think my fav is with the turquoise shoes and that fun clutch. And I'm missing our daily phone calls. COME HOME ALREADY!!!!!!! 🙂

Great outfit! My fave is the first one!
Love me some black and white! I was so excited to see your other recommendations…I just ordered the Loft Gingham and strapless striped maxi earlier this week…can't wait to try them on!! Have a happy weekend! 🙂
Every time I see this dress on you, I want it!!! I just can't decide if it would look right on a 54 year old that isn't a size 6. Any thoughts on that??
Just my two cents Ninny… But I think the looks Cassie has shown here really prove that this dress is fun and classy at any age! 😊
Ninny, I bought it and I'm 51. It's a great look and forgiving design. 🙂
Cassie you have seriously become my style guru through your blog! I'm so regretting not jumping on this dress when I had the chance… I really struggle with imagining the versatility of this dress when I saw it in the store, but you have totally convinced me that I need something similar in my closet now! Thank you for always sharing amazing and practical items and showing us how to turn it up a notch! Love all three looks!
I love this dress! Stripes are my weakness.
