Hey, hey, hey! Another Monday rolls in, and I was really sad to see this weekend end. We put our son on a solo flight *gulp* last week for a visit with his grandparents. It’s a special time he has alone with them every Summer. Babygirl will get to join the trip up north in a year or two, so we thought we’d treat her to a special ‘only child’ weekend, too.
I hopped online Friday and found a crazy deal at a local resort, The Westin Stonebriar, and we had a glorious 36-hours swimming in their lagoon pool, complete with waterfalls and slide, noshing on poolside snacks, and snuggling in front of the flat screen. She even had her first room service (we may have created a monster). But there’s no doubt she loved every second of our undivided attention, and we loved doling it out on her. Not to mention the peace that comes with having just one child! I hope these are memories she’ll cherish as much as we will. (It was the best $100 we’ve spent in awhile, and I highly recommend the hotel! You can’t beat the price and all the amenities.)
So on to today…..I’ll admit, I’m all kinds of nosy. But I like to think of it as being really interested in other people. *snort* And their homes. And their closets. And they bidness. I’ve been having a snooper’s paradise dipping into other people’s purses on Shelley’s fun series, Inside My Bag, so it was only fair that I shared the contents of mine, too.
Cruise over to Crazy Wonderful and judge check-out the mish-mash of random I lug around every day! What random things are you carrying around right now? Have you hit up a local hotel for a quick staycation?
I think that's so special to have alone time with your children. I'm trying to come up with something for us to do with Izzy before our second child arrives. My parents used to do stuff like this when my sister and I were young and we still remember our "only child" moments 🙂
I am cherishing the moments with having just my son, before we decide to have a 2nd child. Currently we are planning on a Canoeing/Camping trip. Can't wait! 🙂
How sweet! Every young girl should learn early what room service is 🙂 The big question is, what are you going to do next summer when both kids are at the grandparents house?
I love the color of your purse! It's so fun! If you get a sec, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my latest posts and enter to win my giveaway!

I love the staycation idea. We need to do that with the kiddos. Will check out your purse loot! I am snoopy like that.
I definitely hope that my husband and I get to do this with each of our kids as the grow up. That alone time is precious! I've never had room service before, but I've always wanted to…
So great Cassie. Liked snooping in your purse too!
How fun! Hope you little man's flight was a good one! As you know I was a nervous wreck sending out almost 19 year old on her first solo flight!! She survived (barely, LOL).
Going to check out what you got in that gorgeous bag!
Glad you were able to do this with your little girl.
I love blogs like this one. I guess I'm kind of a snoop, too, as I walk really slow past people's houses, hoping to see a little of the inside.
Will you ever do a blog of makeup, hair products you like?
