It’s Hump Day!! Do people still say Hump Day? Or did they ever even say it in the first place?! I don’t actually use the term in conversation, so I’m not sure why I said it here?! For some reason, the opening paragraph of a blog post is always the hardest for me! Writing is one of my favorite aspects of blogging, and the heart of the post just flows, but when it comes to kicking the whole thing off, I stare at a blank screen forever!
Do I greet you like if we were seeing each other in person? Or do I just get right to the point? For some reason, that seems rude to me! If we were to see each other on the street…or more realistically, at the mall…I’d say hello and ask how you’ve been. I wouldn’t just launch into a whole topic of my own interest. Well, unless I’d just spotted a cute new pair of booties you needed to know about. #girletiquette
How’s that for a tangent? Oh well, it’s started now, so we can get down to the business of of today’s post! Up until now, my coverage of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been all about us gals, but what about the men? Kids? All the cute home stuff? Yep, they’re included in the Sale, too. I’ve had several requests for my top picks in other categories, so after far too long scouring the site, here’s what I deem, the Best of the Rest.
Mr. SP actually owns (and loves!) several of these, including the no-iron slim shirts and polo shirt…and he takes his packable jacket on almost every trip. He wears his suede chukka boots with both jeans and slacks, and you know he loves a blue suit (seen here)!
ONE: gingham no-iron shirt // TWO: slim fit no iron shirt // THREE: monogram multi-tool // FOUR: thermal jacket // FIVE: polo // SIX: leather strap watch  // SEVEN: trim fit suit // EIGHT: duffel bag // NINE: suede boot // TEN: running sneakers
I don’t usually think of Nordstrom when looking for Home products, so I was surprised to find so many great pieces. And of course the Sale makes them even more appealing…like new plush towels, and the coziest of throws. That’s my actual leopard rug from my Entrance Hall…and on sale!!
ONE: floral rug  // TWO: southwestern pillow // THREE: tassel pillow // FOUR: table lamp // FIVE: set of mini bowls  // SIX: framed wall art // SEVEN: pepper mill // EIGHT: cotton towels // NINE: leopard rug // TEN: leopard throwÂ
I had Little Miss look through the big selection of Kids items, and she chose several favorites for herself, including the striped cardigan and moto leggings. She insisted her new cousin needed the hooded bunting, and the Honest Gift Set is perfect for our expectant friend.
ONE: fleece pajama set // TWO: hooded cardigan // THREE: moto pants // FOUR: baby arrival set // FIVE: graphic tee // SIX: hooded bunting // SEVEN: straight leg jean // EIGHT: zip hoodie // NINE: basketball shorts // TEN: running sneakers
And finally, besides finding my own cute new booties and cardigans, I use the Sale as an opportunity to stock up on gifts for  Christmas, birthdays, and just because. I don’t know a teacher who wouldn’t love this delicate filigree necklace, and how fun would the bottle collection be for a housewarming gift? The trio of candles is another favorite…I break them up into three small gifts to have on hand throughout the year. And bonus, it’s all under $50! (Pssst, hey Santa, please include the brush set in my stocking this year. K, thanks.)
ONE: plush throw // TWO: marble cake stand // THREE: stud earrings // FOUR: makeup brush set // FIVE: pendant necklace // SIX: monogram wine glass set // SEVEN: monogram cosmetic bag // EIGHT: metal picture frame // NINE: trio candle set // TEN: glass bottle set
But don’t worry, we’ll be back to talking about the girls tomorrow with another giant Dressing Room Diaries (Mama Sugarplum, too!). What goodies have you found in the Sale this year? Do you shop Christmas in July?

{Shop Kids Faves}
{Shop Home Faves}
{Shop Gifts Under $50}
I actually still say Hump Day… I THINK it’s still a thing haha? I mean, it’s still on Instagram Stories and Snapchat filters, so it must still be trending with the millennials. Lol!

This post is so good! I too did a post last week on what I’d get the people in my life from the Nsale. I only did about three items each so I’m thinking of doing another round up and you have totally inspired me. At first I was really excited for the stuff I might get myself at the Nsale but once I saw all the good home stuff they have I got really excited to get things for my family and friends too. And the kids stuff is so good too! Thanks for sharing, this is a great round up!

yes! So many great deals, and I’ll be so glad when the hurried holiday season rolls around!
I’m definitely stocking up on some gifts this year!!!!
Thank-you for a great post! These are fantastic suggestions. I stocked up on birthday and Holiday gifts at the reduced prices!
I’m thrilled it was helpful, Elle! I did the same! xo
What size rug did you order? I’m thinking of getting the rug and my entry is about the same size as yours. Thanks
My best tip is to use painter’s tape to mark off the different sizes in your space…you’ll know immediately what size you need for it! xo
I love the products. Kendra Scott jewelry has become my “go to” gift for birthdays and graduations. We are lucky enough to have a KS store right in Plano!!
Yes! Love her stores…always so pretty and inspiring!
