Thanks for all the awesome feedback on the Dining Room mood boards! I haven’t tallied the votes, but wouldn’t you know it, both rugs are sold out now!?! Who bought my new chevron rug?!
You probably thought I’d given up on my Living Room Plan List. No, it’s just taking me the usual forever to finish a room. One of the items on the list was to recover the cushions of the cane barrel chair (inherited from my grandparents).
I was able to dress it up for awhile with a throw and chevron pillow, but I wanted to give it more style with updated cushion covers.
It’s such a cool chair, but the flesh-tone cover wasn’t doing it any justice.
She’s not a wallflower any more…this girl has come to party!
Some of you (particularly observant) readers may recall seeing the chair with this fabric before. That’s because it was wrapped around the cushions for awhile before I pulled the upholstery trigger. Since it’s a bold choice, I wanted to live with it for awhile.
Can you believe I made a decision on my own? Well, not exactly. I did ask everyone that passed through our door. But when I got the cushions back, I knew
we’d I’d made the right choice. I used a local shop (Berkeley Decor) and they did a fabulous job. The price was really fair, and the pleats and piping look fantastic.
I know some of you want to know the details on the fabric. And if I were a better blogger, I’d be able to tell you! All I know is it’s an indoor/outdoor goodie found on clearance at Hancock Fabric. Last year. Ooops. If anyone has any idea, please let me know and I’ll update the post. But for now, let’s just gaze upon the Before & After goodness again.
