Hi Sugarplum!

In the Kitchen | New Our Place Product!

June 3, 2021

Happy almost-Friday, my loves! Don’t you just love short weeks?! You blink and it’s the weekend again!

In other exciting news, everyone’s favorite pan company is launching all new product today, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on it early! That’s right, the makers of the cult-favorite Our Place Always Pan are releasing a gorgeous new cutting board and cooking knives set, and they’re good. Like real good!

And just as with the Always Pan, they’re thoughtfully designed and ethically sourced for sustainability. But what else would you expect from this phenomenal company that’s taking kitchens by storm?!

If you’re on social media, chances are you’ve heard of the Our Place Always Pan… it’s been literally everywhere for the last year. But that’s to be expected considering Oprah herself raves about it!

The Our Place Always Pan has already developed a cult following, and is praised by everyone from The New York Times to Food & Wine. And yes, by Oprah, too! At one point, it had a waitlist of over 30,000 people! So you can understand why I was influenced by the hype, and ordered it for myself.

Literally nothing sticks to it, and clean-up is such a breeze, I wouldn’t even call it cleaning! I’ve cooked everything from eggs and pancakes to veggies and steaks, and am blown away every time.

Not only have I donated every other skillet-type pan I owned, but I’ve added to my Our Place Always Pan collection and have the sage one at home, and the blue one for the Sugar Shack (it’s constantly selling out, so you have to grab it quick!). Read my full review and tips for using and caring for this wonder pan HERE.

So when they added the cutting board and knives , I couldn’t get them fast enough. The quality of the knives is top-notch, and they’ve quickly become my most used, and the cutting board is so beautifully made, I’m using it both for food prep and presentation!

Why the Our Place Knives?

Rather than the conventional, multi-knives set, Our Place has condensed all the knives you could ever need into one efficient set for your kitchen! The Everyday Chef’s Knife, Serrated Slicing Knife, and Precise Paring Knife take care of all your cooking and prep needs.

Made of premium stainless steel, they couldn’t be sharper or sturdier. They are rust resistant, and the full-tang design maintains a sharp edge. I’ve never used sharper knives, and am now an expert onion slicer!

The Our Place knives also have a patented grip, for safer, faster chopping that feels like an extension of your hand. They also come in four gorgeous colors for the home decor enthusiast, and are sold separately or bundled together for a $25 savings.

The Everyday Chef’s Knife / Do It All Knife

The Everyday Chef’s Knife does it all and is your new kitchen BFF! Perfect for slicing veggies, cutting herbs, mincing meat, chopping nuts… the list goes on. I’ve already used it for everything from whole watermelons to basil, and was wowed every time.

The Serrated Slicing Knife / Smoother Slicing Without the Squishing

The Serrated Slicing Knife is designed for anything soft and squishy or hard and crusty. The super sharp wavy teeth act like a saw and let the blade slide through without making a mess. Crusty bread, figs, tres leches, tomatoes, you name it… if you don’t to squish it, the Serrated Slicing Knife gets it done.

The Precise Paring Knife / For the Small Stuff

Small and mighty, the Precise Paring Knife is designed for all the little jobs. Peeling a peach? Slicing ginger? Mincing garlic? If it’s a job on the small side and a big blade doesn’t feel right, the Precise Paring Knife is just the thing.

Why the Our Place Cutting Board?

The double-sided design lets you go from cutting to serving! No more spills or counter leaks, the juice trench captures all the liquids before they make a mess of your kitchen.

It’s beautifully designed of black walnut wood that not only looks great displayed on your counter, but also keeps your knives sharp. Plus it’s self-healing, helps muffle chopping noises, and hides stains. How’s that for an advanced cutting board?!

Buy it alone, or as a bundle with the incredible Our Place knives for a $35 savings!

Clearly I’m smitten… but can you blame me?! Between the Our Place Always Pan, Knife Trio Set,  and Cutting Board, I actually look forward to cooking! I can’t wait to see what they come up with next, because I’ll be the first in line to try it out!

Thank you! We are getting ready to remodel our kitchen at our lake house at Cedar Creek! The pictures look like the cabinets are white not a gray color. I love Sherwin Williams paint!

Your kitchen is so lovely! I’ve heard great things about Our Place Products, but I’ve always put off buying them because of the cost. After reading your post, I think they would be worth the splurge- they are an investment after all! On a different note, how do you keep your white cabinets so clean?? I’m having my kitchen cabinets redone by a local cabinet refinisher and am thinking of using white paint. My only worry is that my kids might get the white cabinets dirty or water-stained.

Thanks so much, Sarah! I truly believe all of the Our Place products are worth every penny! And my kids are older, so I wasn’t as worried about them getting the white dirty! I also have a regular housecleaner who does amazing work. xo, C

Love your lake home and all the beautiful decor. I especially love your wood flooring throughout. We are currently remodeling and I was wondering if you could share what manufacturer and color it is. Is it vinyl or engineered laminate wood? Thanks, Deb

Hi Deb! I’ve got all of those details in this blog post! It’s Texas Tradition West Winds Engineered Wood in ‘Oak Vernon’
