Ice Ice Baby

Well, I think my post about our beautiful weekend, full of sunshine and 70-degree temperatures must have irritated Mother Nature! Yesterday morning, we were hit with

The Great Ice Storm of 2011

da-da-duuuuummmm! (I think the newscasters are rubbing off on me!).

Okay, so this is a slight exaggeration…but it might as well be true as unequipped as we are to handle this kind of weather. (Not to mention the temps…good grief how do you Northerners handle it?!?) I’d like to say I’m using this home-bound time for projects…but it’s mostly been time by the fire.

Stuffing our faces with s’mores!

You’re drooling now, aren’t you? You can read about how we make them without a fire here.

It doesn’t look like the ice is going anywhere soon, so maybe I’ll be a bit more productive tomorrow. Now excuse me while I race back under the blanket!

I should have been warned before I started to see those yummy s'mores! Being on a diet only makes me want chocolate all the time. This may need to be my weekend fix 🙂

  26. That ice is crazy!!!!! At least it doesn't happen all the time. When we had our snow week in Jan. here in SC I enjoyed it but was ready to get out and have the kids back in school. I don't know how people who are snowed in for a long time make it. I started to get cabin fever by day 2 LOL. Love the smores. We also make them without a fireplace.
