Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! Our African visas have arrived and the prescription for malaria pills have been filled… tomorrow we leave for Kenya!! I still can’t believe this is real!

I’m a little apprehensive about the long haul flight, we’ve never flown that far before! Any tips for staying sane (that don’t include medication, ha!)? But the opportunity to not only experience a safari and see parts of the world young me never thought possible, while also witnessing two of our best friends’ wedding… well, that’s worth every moment of travel time!

Plus, I know Sloan and the pups will be in good hands (we have family staying at the house)!

Today I’ve got a fun Dressing Room Diaries for you, chock-full of so many new arrivals for the season. Typically for these posts I’m just ordering new arrivals that catch my eye, but between the wedding, upcoming travels and graduation events, I’ve been on the hunt for some very specific styles… so this DRD is more of my own personal shopping, and hopefully they fit your needs, too! So let’s get started…

Dresses //

FARM Rio can do no wrong in my book, and this dress was an automatic YES for me! Lightweight cotton, and fully lined, it has the cutest print and feminine details. I love the statement sleeve and eyelet trim, plus the drawstring waist is not only comfy, but creates a flattering shape. It’s on the short side, so gals over 5’5″ or so might prefer with flats.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small.

We have very specific moodboards and color palettes for each of the wedding events, and no surprise the bold pinks and yellows for the Welcome Party are my fave! But for some reason, finding the right dress has eluded me… until now! This silky stunner has flutter sleeves, plunging neckline, and cut-out detail… but the longer skirt keeps me covered. The print and feel are perfection, and even better, it’s super lightweight to fit our packing restrictions!

This gorgeous navy floral is such a flattering fit, with the halter neckline and ruched waist. I love the feminine details too, along with the asymmetrical hem. It’s an airy chiffon material and fully lined.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size 2 dress, but it just needs a little hem along the back for me… perfect for taller girls!

More FARM Rio fun, this cotton dress has statement sleeves and a flattering wide belt. I love the pleated skirt, but do wish it were a little longer for my comfort zone!

Another bold floral, this one a woven crepe material, that’s fully lined with a flattering faux-wrap top. Plus, it’s bra-friendly!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS dress, but it runs a little big, so I’d size down if in-between.

You may recall this dress… I wore it several times last year. That is, until Sloan swiped it from me! I’m thrilled to see this gauzy cotton dress back, it’s so light and soft, and the price point can’t be beat!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS pink dress and size Small black dress... I prefer the Small.

This fun floral maxi with tiered skirt was a top contender for the Welcome Party! I love the tiered skirt and fitted top, and the material is so soft and cool. It’s as fun to wear as it is cute!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS, but I’d size up if you’re busty.

Sloan and I will be fighting over this one, for sure! She tried to swipe it before I even had a chance to share with y’all… so I guess it’s teen-approved, as well! It’s a lightweight cotton, fully lined with the cutest embroidered and ruffled details, and open back. Perfect for spring break and vacation!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS in the black and size Small in the blue. I prefer the fit and length of the Small.

Always a sucker for stripes, even when they’re neutral! I love this crisp cotton-blend dress with full skirt and adjustable straps. The alternating stripe pattern creates a flattering shape along the waist and hips, and gathers at the bust add a feminine detail.

Another floral find that’s as fun to wear as it is stunning! I’m crazy for the ruching along the torso for a lengthening (and forgiving!) effect, plus the tiered skirt makes me want to twirl! It’s a stretchy rayon material with a lot of give.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS, but it does run a little big, so I’d size down if in-between.

Blue and white is always so fresh for spring, and this flirty dress is darling for parties and showers. It’s on the shorter side, but the sheer long sleeves help balance that. The plunging neckline makes it sassy, and the fitted waist is super flattering.

You know breezy palazzo pants are my jam… such a stylish alternative to shorts, and more practical than skirts. These wide-leg pants are silky soft with a pull-on style and elastic waist. So cute paired with this classic shirt, or a summer sweater. (PS… this shirt is so good! It’s definitely in my bag!)

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small pants, but would prefer XS, size Small top (it’s generously sized), and size Small sweater.

Remember this best-selling convertible dress/skirt…. it’s back!!! One of my faves for pairing with tanks and tees, or even with swimsuits, it can also be worn as a strapless dress. It’s lightweight with a smocked wide waist, and so comfy and packable!

Can we just pause a moment for this most-darling midi skirt?! It’s lightweight and silky, with a side zip, and the cutest print and colors! The material is multi-seasonal, so you can pair it with sweaters now, and even tanks and tees in the summer. It also comes in a cute olive colorway that’s also on its way to me!

The famous Target sets are back, and this year in all new darling colors! I grabbed these tan stripes for a safari option, and it’s just so comfy! Made of a linen-blend, they have a medium weight and texture, but launder beautifully.

A cute sweat-set for spring, these cropped pants are a pull-on style with a flared ankle… so cute with sneakers or sandals. The crewneck pullover is cropped, as well, but no tummy shows.

No one does spring tops better than Avara, and they are starting the season strong! This cheery yellow is just so happy, and I love the bold sleeve detail and crisp cotton. Both of these jeans will be on repeat all season, the fit and style is perfection!
