Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! Sloan and Mr. SP went to visit our son in Kansas this weekend, and while I have serious FOMO over their family time together, I’m pretty giddy about a few days to myself! I love that they’re getting one-on-one time with Dad, too!

His internship wraps up soon, so we’ll get to have him home for a couple of weeks before he heads back to campus later in August. It’s tricky navigating the emotions of motherhood… on one hand I’m so proud and happy for this opportunity he’s had this summer, but selfishly wanting him home with us! I’m not sure if those conflicting feelings will ever go away?!

Dresses //

I can’t decide if it’s the print, the colors, or the easy fit of this dress I love so much… but I just know I absolutely love it! The material is lightweight with a crinkled texture, with full sleeves, fully lined through the body, and operational buttons. It comes with this darling grosgrain tie, but you could wear it open or swap for a belt, too. And bonus, they just reduced the price!

Fit Tip: It’s a generous fit, I’m in a size 0.

Remember this amazing statement dress?? They restocked it, and permanently lowered the price! I love a statement sleeve, and this one delivers! I love the mix of colors and the open back, and the taffeta-style material definitely dresses it up for all sorts of events.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size 2 dress, and it’s a teeny bit tight across the hips, but the 4 was too big across the shoulders.

Another super-soft and floaty option, this flutter sleeve has a drawstring waist for wearing it loose, or cinched for a fit-and-flare shape. It’s a little longer in the back, and would be darling with sneakers and a jean jacket for school and early fall.

Smitten doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about this one! A crisp cotton poplin, with puffed sleeves and a smocked bodice, it has a flirty skirt and chic print. You could keep this one casual, or definitely dress it up a bit.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS, but I’d go up one if in-between for a bit more length.

This cotton dress has a similar style, but at a great price point (especially with my 15% off code!). It’s a crisp cotton, with fun statement sleeves and the cutest oversized bow on the back. It has smocking for a comfortable fit, too.

If this print looks familiar, it’s because it was from one of my favorite tops last season… now in the cutest fit-and-flare dress! The crisp material gives the flutter sleeves and tiered skirt a little structure, and elastic waist and tie belt are both flattering and comfy. The little black dress you can wear to work, brunch, and date night! It’s a stretchy crepe material that makes it comfy, and versatile, with full sleeves, elastic waist, and a slight asymmetrical hem.

Another perfect transitional dress… this one in a classic natural, with a stretchy, bra-friendly knit top and crisp, full cotton skirt… even pockets! It’s so comfy and easy to wear. Would be darling with sneakers, as well.

We have a quick trip later this summer, and I’m pretty sure this maxi will be coming with me! It’s on the pricey side, but I have two shirts from this brand and I’m so impressed with the quality! I love the print and grecian-style shape of this one, with adjustable thin straps and flowy cotton skirt.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS, but am right on the edge of needing a Small… I’d size up if you’re busty or in-between.

Tops & Shirts //

Kicking off the tops with my favorite find… this one is so versatile and flattering!! A navy abstract print on a crisp, cotton material, with a tall ruffled collar and angled sleeve, it’s so cute tucked in to trousers or out with jeans.

These wide leg jeans won’t last long, and for good reason! They’re incredibly flattering, super comfortable, and so chic for fall! They’re a softer white, making them perfect for year round.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS top and size 27 in the trouser jeans (I always size up in white denim).

Another darling ‘wear now & later’ style… lightweight and soft for summer, but great fall colors for transitioning! This one has a soft, cotton body, with a silky yoke for a fun mixed-material style. Wear the tassels out, or tuck them in the shirt for a cleaner look.

The darling windowpane plaid is a great Work & Weekend style, in a lightweight cotton with the cutest puff sleeve and ruffled collar. The buttons are operational, and it’s longer for wearing out, but fitted for easy tucking into trousers.

Not only is this top in the cutest shade of pink, but it has a fun bubble shape that’s great with denim for date night, or trousers for the office! It’s a soft woven material, fully lined with a slight textured feel.

It’s hard to see the details of this great top in my photos, so definitely check out the website… but it’s a stretchy crepe with ruching down the front for a super-flattering fit that carves out a waistline. The bubble sleeves are a flattering elbow length I love!

Summer Sweaters //

This relaxed-fit sleeveless sweater is perfect for transitioning! I love the tall neck and quarter-zip, plus the ribbing is extra soft and stretchy, with the cutest boxy fit. The olive jeans are a new style from Risen, with fun front pockets and flared hem. They’re super-long, but easily hemmed.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small sweater, but wouldn’t size up as the armholes get a little big. I sized down in both the Risen jeans.

This striped sweater is as soft as it is darling! I love the bold colors and asymmetrical stripes, with fun cropped bell sleeves and a-line shape.

Sets //

You’ve seen these sets already because I’ve been wearing them for months, but they’re too good to not have a place in DRD! Made of a soft, quality cotton, they feel like your favorite t-shirt! The top is slightly boxy and cropped, and the pull-on pants have a comfy elastic waist and flattering wide leg. Wear them as sets, or break them up with jeans or a tee… great for moving in to early fall, too.

Fit Tip: I sized up to a Small so I could put them in the dryer.

And finally, is this a cute printed shorts set or a lightweight pajama…. I’ll never tell! Made of a soft gauzy cotton, it’s a comfy pull-on short with a wide elastic waist, pockets, and a-line top. Comes in several prints, too!
