Cheers to Friday, friends, and the weekend ahead! I’m picking up the kids from camp later today, and can hardly wait to see their happy, tired faces! I’m sure Little Miss will be full of stories, and both of them will be excited to crash in their own beds (they are obsessed with these sheets too!).
It’s a fast turnaround for them since we head to Florida for our annual Anna Maria trip with our favorite family tomorrow! We’re staying in a different house this year, so I’m excited to try a new spot. Follow our family fun on my Instagram Stories, and of course I’ll share the trip here, as well.
Today I’m excited to bring you another Dressing Room Diaries with my darling Mama Sugarplum. This isn’t typically a weekly series (although I think you’d like that!), but with the biggest sale of the year going strong, there’s just too much to cover in a week or two!
You know the drill with Dressing Room Diaries…I hunt down some of the cutest items from my favorite retailers, and review them for you. As usual, the shots aren’t good, the lighting is bad, and I’m in desperate need of a hairbrush. Many of the items aren’t a good fit for me…but it’s real life, real girl, real clothes…and hopefully helpful for you to see them this way, instead of perfectly styled on a model. So let’s get started!
Fit Note: I’m 5’4″-ish, 120 pounds-ish (depending on the week’s taco count), with a slight pear shape. My usual size is XS/0. Mama Sugarplum is 5’1″, with an hourglass figure. Her usual size is XS/2p.
Let’s kick things off with everyone’s favorite Fall staple…cardigans! There are so many great options this year, and you know this one is my hands-down fave, but I found this cashmere option and was instantly smitten. It’s lightweight and so soft, with a draped shawl collar and longer length. It’s one-size, so the arms are a little long for me, but they push up easily. Plus, it’s cashmere for under $100! (Hello, perfect Christmas gift!)
You’ve heard me sing the praises of this tee. I grab a new white one every year, and added a few new shades to my collection this year, too. I also can’t believe these boots are still in stock, they are so chic and comfy!
Fit Tip: The cardigan is one-size with lots of room and stretch to fit size 0-16. The tee is XS, and the boots true to size
Cashmere Cardigan | Scoopneck Tee | Dark Jeans | Booties
Here’s the same cashmere in a darling pink, and layered over the softest stripe tee.
Fit Tip: The tee is true to size, I’m in an XS
Cashmere Cardigan | Striped Tee | Distressed Jeans | Booties | Earrings
Cashmere Cardigan | Striped Tee | Distressed Jeans | Booties | Dark Jeans | Her Booties
I shared this convertible wrap cardigan with you last week, but wanted to show it styled a little differently. I love that it looks equally daring with workout leggings as it does with jeans and fun earrings! So versatile and ridiculously soft!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing reg XS, but comes in petite sizing too for shorter ends
Convertible Fleece Cardigan | Dark Jeans | Booties | Earrings
This is the newest style from Barefoot Dreams…a chunkier, grandpa version of their other cardigans. It’s the same softness and coziness we’ve come to love from Barefoot Dreams, but the one a little thicker and warmer.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS/S
Cozy Grandpa Cardigan | Scoopneck Tee | Dark Jeans | Booties | Double Hoop Earrings | Pendant Necklace
The longer hooded version from Barefoot Dreams now comes in this fun stripe, too. I live in this thing! Oh, and notice my necklace…adore the stone size and shape, and the chain is adjustable so you can wear it long or short.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS/S
Hooded Cozy Cardigan | Scoopneck Tee | Dark Jeans | Booties | Double Hoop Earrings | Pendant Necklace
This poncho has been around for several years, but this is the first time I’ve seen it go on sale! It’s warm and super-soft like your favorite sweatshirt, with a relaxed cowlneck and wide sleeves. You could wear it with leggings and boots, or over your workout clothes.
Fit Tip: It’s a generous fit, I’m wearing XS/S
Sweatshirt Cowlneck Poncho | Distressed Jeans | Booties

Let’s move on to tops, starting with this striped knit top. I love the preppy stripe of navy, red and white, with crewneck and close fit across the shoulders. It’s slightly cropped, making it versatile for both work wear and casual.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small for a little extra room, but go with your usual size if you like it fitted.
Striped Knit Sweater | White Jeans | Booties
Striped Knit Sweater | Dark Jeans | Booties
Is there anything cuter than flutter sleeves or a peplum hem? This cotton top combined the two for a preppy, feminine look perfect for shorts, jeans and skirts. It has a swiss dot pattern texture and sweet scallop trim, too.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a 2, but need my usual 0. If you’re in-between sizes though, I’d go up.
Flutter Sleeve Peplum Top | Cropped Jeans | Sandals
More fun flutter sleeves, this one a soft t-shirt with loose, draped fit. It’s super soft and light, but just a bit sheer. I love these red earrings paired with blue!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS top.
Flutter Sleeve Cotton Tee | Earrings | White Jeans | Sandals
This top is great to wear now, but also transition to fall thanks to it’s thick chambray material. The sleeves are capped with a slight bell shape through the body. The pattern is raised giving it some texture, and it’s not sheer at all.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS
Patterned Top | Raw Hem Cropped Jeans | Sandals | Earrings
You’ve seen this favorite top several times during the sale, but several colors and sizes have been restocked, so I felt that warranted a repeat post!
Fit Tip: We’re both wearing small tops, but jeans are true to size.
Ruffle Sleeve Tee | Distressed Jeans | Earrings | Watch | Sandals | Her Jeans | Loafers
We’ve talked a lot about jeans in the last few weeks (my faves have been these dark rinse and these distressed), but I’ve had some requests for lighter wash. These are the perfect rinse with mid-rise fit and cropped length. There’s no distressing or whispering, expect in the raw hem.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing my usual 26, but I’d size up if you’re in-between.
Striped Tee | Raw Hem Cropped Jeans | Booties
Okay, how about some workwear and dressier styles! I love a shrunken fit blazer for both work and weekend (see how I style them here), and this one is a fun houndstooth print. It fits well across the shoulders and nips in a bit at the waist to create a feminine, flattering shape.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a reg 0
Plaid Blazer | Scoop Tee | Pendant Necklace | Dark Jeans | Booties
I shared this gorgeous moto jacket last week, and you saw the cropped plaid pants in this week’s Now & Later post. So chic on Mama SP, right?!
Fit Tip: She’s wearing XS jacket, size 2 blouse (so pretty!), and 4p pants.
Leather Moto Jacket | Ivory Pintuck Blouse | Plaid Cropped Pants | Patent Heels
This midi dress will carry you from now through Fall, thanks to the thick, textured fabric. It’ a classic fit-and-flare shape, with modest fit that’s perfect for the office (just add a cardigan or blazer), or jazzed up for evenings and weddings.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing 2p, but need a 0p, so I’d say it runs large and is a true midi length
This sassy drop-waist dress has a retro, throwback vibe, but still modern and chic. The material is thick and the shape super flattering. It comes in this navy, and a crisp green.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a 2p, but would prefer the length of a regular 2.
Drop Hem Pleated Dress | Sandals | Bangle Set
Look out, hot tamale ahead! I love my mom in this bright red, and she’s so chic in the blouson sleeve jacket and cropped pants.
Fit Tip: She’s wearing an XS jacket, but needs to size down one. The pants are 4p, and heels (so comfy with block heel!) are true to size.
Blouson Sleeve Jacket | Plaid Cropped Pant | Patent Heels
I assumed this was a knee-length dress when I grabbed it, and was surprised to find it’s actually midi length…and even more surprised that I really liked it! It’s soft and so comfy, with a slight boat neck and lots of stretch.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small for a less body-con fit.
Mom loved it even more than me, and it went home with her!
Fit Tip: She’s wearing small.
T-Shirt Midi Dress | Low Wedge Sandal
This dress is perfect for work and evenings, with a flattering sheath shape and sturdy tweed fabric. The ruffles make it flirty enough for weddings and parties, but the silhouette keeps it appropriate for the office. And if you need a new pump, I can’t recommend these enough! The heel is modern, and keeps them extremely comfortable. I grabbed them in leopard (see it here).
Tweed Ruffle Trim Dress | Patent Heels | Earrings
We may be talking a lot about Fall fashion, but we still have a few months of Summer left around here! This floral sundress is both flirty and feminine, with a flattering fit-and-flare shape. The emerald floral is so fresh, too. The tie on the chest is adjustable, but it’s more for look than actual fit. It’s fully-lined with great movement.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing reg 0, but petite sizing is available for shorter length.
Floral Tie-Front Dress | Low Heel Wedge
This floral dress is light and breezy for wearing now, but the print makes it perfect for Fall transitioning, as well. Stretchy elastic across the arms and waist make it a comfortable fit (it actually stays in place), and bracelet sleeves are soft and pretty. It has great twirling movement, too! (Always a deciding factor for me!)
Fit Tip: I’m wearing reg 0
Off-the-Shoulder Floral Dress | Low-Heel Wedge Sandal
Okay, nearing the end…let me share one last workout wear look with you (find more on sale here, here and here)…this one a cozy soft sweatshirt with funnel neck and front pockets. Wear it open, partially zipped, or all the way up with the neck folded over. I love it all ways, and its so soft and warm. The leggings are a great stretchy fit with fun leg details and mesh panels.
Fit Tip: I size up in Zella tops, I’m wearing a small. But the leggings are true, I’m in XS.
Cowl-neck Zipper Jacket | Patterned Legging
And finally, we’ll wrap this DRD with these soft, crisp cotton pajamas! Such a classic shape and print, and come in several colors.
Fit Tip: They run a little big, but I’m wearing my usual XS
Striped Pajama Set | Initial Necklace
One last thing for today…I won’t be showing it on, but I wouldn’t be a good girlfriend if I didn’t tell you about this bra! Usually, the first thing I do when I get home is take my bra off (then reach for this cardi). But with this bra, I don’t have an urgent need to take it off!
In fact, I’ve left it on all evening several times and didn’t even realize it! It has just enough padding to smooth things out, and enough lift to keep things perky…plus, it’s really comfortable and pretty. The 2,300 5-star reviews seem to agree with me. So there you go, if you need a new bra, I can’t recommend this one enough…especially while it’s on sale! And you know I adore these no-show undies.
Okay, I think that’s enough for today! I do hope you found this post helpful, and maybe discovered some new goodies. What’s your favorite from this round of Dressing Room Diaries? Looking good as always, Cassie! 🙂 I love the striped pyjama set, so classic.
Hope you have a good weekend! ❤️

That cashmere cardigan spells rich. Nothing hangs quite like cashmere. Oh, and the tweed/plaid ruffle dress, you could sell a zillion of those in Scotland, no problem!
Ever notice how happy, healthy, and outdoorsy your kids look when you pick them up from camp? Take some pics!
Love it! I’m wondering – what are those shoes your mom is wearing in the first picture? They look a lot like the Ugg moc toe flats I just bought in the sale. I’m honestly surprised I haven’t seen them on any blogger’s lists because they’re so cute for practical shoes. Excited to (maybe) see them here, but I don’t think you linked them.
YES!! We’re both obsessed with those flats…I featured them early on in the sale because we loved them so much. Crazy comfy and so darling!
In love with your picks! Such an inspiration! Wonderful!
Great looks, but some of the sizings are listed as XX later on in the post? I always find the size listings helpful to know how items run… thanks!
Ooopsie Daisy!! I totally forgot to go back and update those!! They’ve all be corrected with actual sizes now! xo
Loving these picks! Curious as to what size you wear in the Wit & Wisdom white ankle jeans?
I’m wearing a regular 0…they’re really stretchy!
I am not a dress gal by any means but the plaid ruffle dress and the off the shoulder black and pink floral just took my breath away! I may get that one in the blue & black for my Kauai trip – gorgeous!!
Hello from Canada! I just love your blog and most of all how you take selfies.
I have been practicing in my mirror right now and can’t seem to get it right. LOL
I love all your posts but one thing you never share – what is your mother’s secret to looking so amazing!? Has she found The Fountain of Youth? Please spill the beans!
LOL! I wish she had and I could take part!! She just has really good genes, but also uses Colleen Rothschild products! I’ll post about her routine soon!
