Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend ahead! Lots happening around here… first up, only four more days until the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Holiday Collection launches!! Do you have your calendar set for Tuesday, October 22 at 5am CST?! I’ll be here sharing all the styles, along with fit tips and styling suggestions to help you navigate this new Collection.
Speaking of, did you catch this week’s Accessories Report? All the sparkle and shine we used to style the Holiday Collection, plus a 20% off code just for YOU! Emails and blog feeds were a little wonky this week, so some of you might have missed it… be sure to check the post out here.
But even with all the excitement, you know I’m not about to miss your favorite monthly series, Amazon Fashion Finds! I started these Fashion Finds last July, and they quickly become reader-faves, and even though it takes intense digging to find the good stuff, I love the challenge of discovering such gems!
And remember, I’d never share anything with you that I wouldn’t wear myself, or recommend to my best friend! Here is this month’s best of the batch…
Sizing info: I’m 5’4″ 120-ish pounds, and usually wear an XS/0 and 26 jeans. My fit tips and size recommendations are included with each description.Â
Coats & Jackets //
I don’t think I’ve ever started a try-on post with coats, but this puffer is such a shining star it deserved top spot! I shared this packable puffer last year, which is a great mid-weight coat, and you can’t beat the compact size. But many of you asked for warmth!! And friends, this puffer delivers it all! So cute, great fit, incredible construction, and crazy warm!! It comes in a slew of colors, but I think the white is so fresh for winter.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS
Hooded Puffer Coat | Jeans | Knee Boots (on sale!) | Stacked Ring (20% off with code SUGARPLUM20)
Another amazing coat find, this belted beauty is thick and fully-lined with a chic lapel and front pockets. It easily rivals the style and quality of a J.Crew coat, but at a fraction of the cost. I’m telling you, these Amazon house brands are getting it right!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing size 2, but need to size down.
Belted Coat | Leopard Heels | Stacked Ring
Sweaters & Cardigans //
Now let’s move on to sweaters and cardigans, starting with this surprise hit. The material is actually thick and warm, and surprisingly soft. It has bracelet sleeves and a relaxed fit. Layer a bralette under and wear it off the shoulder for a sassy look
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small
V-Neck Sweater | Jeans | Slides | Stacked Ring
This cowlneck pullover is a great tunic length for jeans or leggings. The neckline is loose and it’s not too wide through the body. The material is soft enough to wear alone, but cute with a little layer peeking out.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but size up one if you prefer more room across the hips and bum.
Cowlneck Tunic Sweater in ‘mocha mousse’ | Knit Leggings | Flats | Stacked Ring
The cardigan is my wallpaper come to life, right?! So of course I was an instant fan. Soft and warm, with the cutest pink-trimmed animal print, this so fun for Fall. I styled it with both jeans and leggings.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small
Leopard Cardigan | Bodysuit | Black Jeans | Similar Boots | Knit Leggings | Flats | Stacked Ring
Okay, while I didn’t choose the best color…the poncho itself is a gem. It’s super warm and snuggly, with enclosed armholes and a mock neck. The color of this one is really like a dijon mustard, but there are plenty of other options available.
Fit Tip:Â One Size fits most.Â
Poncho Sweater in ‘Camel’ | Jeans | Leopard Flats | Stacked Ring
The cardigans just keep coming… this one a lightweight, duster style. It’s thin, but not sheer, and has cute color blocked stripes and front pockets.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small
Lightweight Striped Cardigan | Bodysuit | Black Jeans | Similar Boots | Jeans | Slides
Shirts & Tops //
Next up… shirts, tees, and tops. This pullover tee was one of my faves. Made of the softest jersey knit, it’s like a thick, stretchy version of your favorite tee. I love the longer length for leggings, and the cute side slit.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but would prefer a small for more arm room and additional length.
Split Hem Tunic | Jeans | Slides | Stacked Ring
This blouse is definitely a poly-blend, and feels like it…but the pattern and fit are spot-on. #punny It’s easily dressed up with skirts and trousers, or more casual with jeans. It would also be darling peeking out from under a blazer. More on the skirt in a minute, but these are the knit trousers I raved about here. They really are that good!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small
Spotted Blouse | Pleated Midi Skirt | Pumps | Knit Trousers | Flats | Stacked Ring
The great thing about Fall is cardigans. And the great thing about long cardigans is wearing them with leggings. Except what do you wear under the cardigan to cover the lady bits in front? You wear these tunic-length tees! In a silky jersey knit, they have good shape and stretch, and cover you front and back!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing size XS, but would size up if in-between.
Tunic Tee | Knit Leggings | Flats
Halloween is right around the corner…how about a cute graphic tee to wear? These are both crazy-soft with a comfortable, relaxed fit.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small
‘I Smell Children’ Tee | ‘Basic Witch’ Tee | Jeans
Okay… remember these tank-style bodysuits I wore all summer long? Well of course I had to order the long sleeve versions for Fall… and they do not disappoint! Both are fitted with just enough stretch, and are a great thickness. They are a little cheeky (not my favorite feeling), so I just layer them over my usual undies. Weird? Maybe. Comfortable? Absolutely! I picked up both the scoop neck and crewneck style, and will pair them with skirts and trousers, and layer under blazers and jackets. I love the clean silhouette and smooth lines they give.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small
Scoopneck Bodysuit | Crewneck Bodysuit | Tiered Tulle Skirt | Stacked Ring
Here’s a casual pullover for easy outfits. It’s a relaxed fit with a soft waffle weave and a cute twist front.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small, but would size down unless you like the added length.
Waffle Knit Twist Front Top | Jeans | Leopard Flats | Stacked Ring
Dresses & Jumpsuits //
My number 2 favorite find of the month, and maybe one of my top 5 all-time Amazon finds… this lace overlay dress is STUNNING!! It’s beautifully made, incredible construction, with the sweetest cap sleeve and collar. The waistline is so flattering, and the skirt has a touch of a-line shape for a forgiving and easy fit. It could seriously be a $300 dress. But alas, it’s not!! Thank you Amazon buyers for this incredible dress! Definitely my new go-to for weddings and cocktail parties.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing size 2
Cap Sleeve Lace Overlay Dress | Leopard Heels
I love the shape and feel of this dress, but need to size up one to get it right. It’s a thick, stretchy material with a little cap sleeve and collar, and a cute flounce hem. My idea was to pair it with black opaque tights and block heels. So fresh and cute for Winter!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing size 2, but would size up one. Especially if you have a tush.
Flounce Hem Dress | Leopard Heels | Stacked Ring
This jumpsuit has made a few appearances in my Amazon Fashion Finds, and is a top-seller every time! It’s finally back in stock, and has some great new color options now, too! It’s such a flattering and easy wear… particularly for those of us under 5’6″ or so! Made of a stretchy crepe, the pants have the perfect width and a defined waist. The ruffles add a feminine detail…and it’s bra-friendly! I’ve seen this jumpsuit on so many of you, and it’s universally flattering! A great option for evening events when you’d rather not wear a dress or skirt, too.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small
Ruffle Trim Jumpsuit | Leopard Heels | Stacked Ring
Skirts //
I wear a lot of skirts in the warmer months, so I spent a lot of time looking for Fall and Winter skirt options this month… and found some great ones! This pleated number is so flowy, with an easy and comfortable pull-on elastic waist. The mini pleats are so flattering and move beautifully! It’s incredibly versatile and great for work or evening. I paired it with a basic crewneck sweater in the best shade of ivory… but the styling options are endless!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small skirt and XS sweater
Crewneck Sweater | Pleated Midi Skirt | Pumps | Stacked Ring
This skirt isn’t my usual style, but I really loved the drama of it! Made of a silky material, it double wraps for a flattering and custom fit. I wore it high to create a long leg-line, and paired it with the crewneck bodysuit for smooth lines. Maybe not a piece you’ll wear often, which makes the Amazon price even more appreciated!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small skirt
Crewneck Bodysuit | Animal Print Wrap Maxi Skirt | Pumps
Speaking of drama… I’m obsessed with this flirty skirt! Definitely a little ‘extra’, but sometimes a girl wants to make a statement. This skirt does exactly that, but is under $20 so not a serious investment. It’s pull-on style with an elastic waist, and tiers of lightweight (not scratchy) tulle. It’s lined to the mid-thigh, so you get a little peek of leg. It comes in a slew of colors, so perfect for a range of occasions. Of course I paired it with the bodysuit. #cantgetenough
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small
Crewneck Bodysuit | Tiered Tulle Skirt in ‘Nude Pink’ | Pumps | Stacked Ring
I was so smitten with the skirt, I ordered it in multiple colors… problem for me though, is the short liner is more evident in this darker shade, and showed more leg that I’m comfortable with. And if you’re not a bodysuit girl, this black crewneck sweater is a great alternative! It’s super soft and stretchy, in a great medium weight (same one as the ivory above), and has clean lines for tucking or wearing out.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small skirt and XS sweater
Crewneck Sweater | Tiered Tulle Skirt | Belt
Activewear //
If you workout or live in workout wear, you’re going to want to pay attention to this one!! I’ve tried a lot of leggings in my life, and mostly rotate between Zella and Lululemon. You see, I’m crazy-picky about my workout leggings… they must sit comfortably above my belly button, not roll down, not ride up through the crotch or be too long. I like control, but not compression. And they have to be smooth and soft, preferably more silky than cottony. It’s a hard combo to find… especially for less than $100!!
Friends, I found them. And not only are they less than both Zella and Lululemon leggings… they’re under $25!!! It’s stupid how amazing these fit and feel, and for the price. I keep thinking someone surely got it wrong!? I’ve already ordered more colors just in case!
I’m also particular about my workout tops… I prefer a tank and don’t want it billowing wide from my body (I like everything compact when I run!)… this one allows me to tie the back for a custom fit (or wear it open), and has a cute, breathable mesh back.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small top and XS leggings
Tie-Back Tank | Best Leggings | Sneakers
I always end up wearing my workout clothes all day, so I grabbed this cute hoodie pullover for running around town. It’s soft and feels like a lived-in, favorite sweatshirt. You could size up a few for a more tunic length if you prefer full booty coverage.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small
Hooded Pullover | Best Leggings | Sneakers
And one more with the coat because it really is that good. And to show you it’s cute with both jeans and athleisure.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS

Accessories //
And finally, I found a few fun accessories to share… starting with these Apple iWatch bands! I love being able to update mine and make it more fashionable. Both come in several colors and patterns, and slide in my watch easily. The tortoise comes with a tool to remove links, too.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing size 38mm/40mm
Tortoise Apple Watch Strap | Blush Pink Apple Watch Strap | Multi-Strand Cuff Bracelet | Double Wrap Leather Bracelet
I shared these checkered totes last month, and while they were a top-seller, I had a handful of people disappointed that I’d share ‘dupe pieces.’ But while these bags are very similar to a designer option, there is no logo infringement, which is what would make them counterfeit. No one brand owns the checkered pattern. And if you have offense to them, then you’d have to feel the same about World Market’s affordable options of Restoration Hardware styles, Target’s affordable options of Anthropologie styles, Old Navy’s affordable options of J.Crew style, etc etc etc. The list goes on.
The only thing a brand typically owns is their logo, and I’ve decided to no longer promote those imitation pieces. Great style should be available to everyone, regardless of budget though, so I will continue to search for great options that provide a similar style for less. These lookalike pieces are also a way to determine how much I’d actually wear/use a piece before making the investment of the designer version. Regardless of the style, these totes are a great, stylish, sturdy option for less than $50!
But the issue with big totes is the vast black hole they can create! This insert provides instant organization, with tons of compartments and zippered side panels. It fits perfectly in these totes, too!
Felt Bag Organizer Insert | Checkered Tote
I shared these cute slippers in my Fall Home Decor post, but wanted to make sure and include them here, too. I’ve worn them everyday for two weeks and LOVE them! The bottom has a cushy memory foam insole, and the faux-fur is still fluffy! They come in a ton of colors, but clearly I’m a pink girl.
Fit Tip: True to size
So many fun finds this month, right? I honestly love everything I shared (I only share the good stuff!), but if I had to narrow it down to the Top 5:
- Hooded Puffer Coat
- Best Leggings
- Cap Sleeve Lace Overlay Dress
- Slippers
- Tie between Crewneck Bodysuit & Ruffle Trim Jumpsuit
As for the most popular from our Amazon Fashion Finds of September, here are your Top 5:
I also shared our favorite Fall Decor finds from Amazon, and y’all went cuckoo for this wreath and this gingham rug! See the full post and our decorated porch here.
As for our random non-fashion buys, someone ordered this, and I’m curious to see it make an appearance!!?? I also got this throw and this mattress topper, and can’t even begin to tell you how perfect they are! Seriously, add them to the list of incredible Amazon finds.

The information you’ve shared in this blog is remarkable. Thanks for sharing such quality information.
So glad to hear that! xo, Cassie
Amazon has so many gems and I really appreciate you looking out for us so we don’t have to ;p
My last amazon orders were mostly electronics (multi purpose cables for the many video consoles we have) and 2 of the gifts I bought my spouse for his birthday were the soundpeats true wireless earbuds which are amazing for the price (50$ CAD) and come with a charging case and his favourite cologne which was discontinued but I found a bottle on Amazon 😀 I also by all my university books on Amazon (they are usually half the price than anywhere else).
Hi Caroline! So happy to hear that! Isn’t Amazon just the best resource?? Thanks so much for reading all the way from Canada! xo, Cassie
I’m loving EVERYTHING in this post!
Woo hoo, so happy to hear that!!! I did find some gems this month for sure! xo, Cassie
Everything always looks fabulous on You!!💜
That is so nice, thank you so much! The cute clothes don’t hurt! xo, Cassie
Just curious about how “cheeky” the bodysuits you modeled are. Is the fabric substantial? How is the fit lengthwise. Love the idea that bodysuits seem to be making a comeback. I am still a bit wary about purchasing clothing from Amazon.
The bodysuits are pretty cheeky, but wearing your usual undies with them is what works for me. I size up one in there because I have a long torso. The fabric is substantial enough for me, especially for the price. It may not last for 10 years, but I can replace as needed if necessary. The great thing about Prime clothing is the free return policy! You can try what you think you’ll like and send back if it doesn’t work! xo, Cassie
I want to THANK YOU A LOT for showing us “rule pieces”! I am so tired of seeing blogs that show shoes, purses, and clothing for thousands of dollars! I love being able to “recreate” their look for a much better price! I applaud you and hope you will change your mind. I LOVE seeing these items!!!!!
“Dupe pieces”
Thank you for this perspective! I try to show a variety of pieces for every women to be able to shop and feel good about herself, no matter the budget or style or anything. I feel good about showing designer look alikes without the logo, because then there is no infringement. And regardless of the price or brand, I would never show something unless I love it and would use it myself or gift it to a best friend. Thanks so much for reading! xo, Cassie
What a great haul! I always enjoy your Amazon posts. I’ll have to try out the workout pieces!
My last Amazon order was a pair of no lace sneakers that Sheaffer recommended and they live up to the hype!
Thanks so much for reading, Kelsey! So glad you love my Amazon Hauls, I love creating them! And I know exactly which pair of shoes you’re talking about from Sheaffer, she’s usually right on the money! xo, Cassie
I loved the checkered totes you shared last month. I have a designer bag, but didn’t want to use it for my baby bag and the totes you shared hit the spot! Thanks for recognizing the pattern connection, but I liked how Daisy Rose clearly labeled their brand and had some distinguishing features. You are even classier in my book for responding to it!
I love that you also share more affordable look-a-like pieces. It isn’t easy for everyone to afford numerous designer bags and less expensive bags means more options for some!
Last month I ordered (among) other things, a v-neck too that you shared. I loved it so much I re-ordered in another color! I looked at your September post and realized I got several things from that haul! I just ordered the black work out leggings and am excited to get them!
Do you think the bag insert/liner will fit your Barrington leather bag?
I love all the amazon hauls!! So many great fashion finds and I have tried so many of them! Would love a what you eat post!! I am the same age/height but struggle with diet since I’m a picky eater! How do you stay so trim and tiny?
I just recently starting following you and I’m so glad that I did. I really appreciate these more timeless pieces, I see so many bloggers with more “trendy” pieces, and that’s fine, but I really prefer things that wearable through several seasons. Thanks for the great share!
Hi Cassie,
I would like to respectfully disagree with you about the knock off bags. From what I have been told at the store this checked pattern was the brands’ first pattern. It was made before the “logo” pattern that everyone is familiar with. Those of us who love the brand know that this original style acts as its own logo. Does that make sense?
I don’t mind styles that are inspired by other brands. I do mind when it is trying to copy it, which this bag is. If you look at it and wonder if it is authentic, then it is a copy.
Of course, everyone deserves great design. But how would you feel if I copied your Gibson line. Sold it for $5 apiece, and said everyone deserved it. What about all of your hard work and time it took for your collaboration? What if I copied your Blog, changed a few words and put my name on it?
I don’t think recommending this bag is worth your reputation. You seem to work so hard.
Take Care.
As someone who doesn’t particularly care for either version of the bag–I genuinely can’t help but wonder if you’d still have a problem if say, the straps looked different than the designer brand but it still had the same checkered pattern–because you seem to believe the checkered pattern is synonymous with the designer brand. Regardless of if they used it as their “first” pattern, they still didn’t INVENT checkered squares which I think is the point Cassie was making. Checkered patterns were around well before the designer brand ever put them on bag…and if they’d done a stripe, then no one else could make striped bags? I see where you’re coming from but I just don’t think it’s feasible to think a brand owns the rights to a geometric pattern that has been around since at least Ancient Egypt–even if some of the current population associates that pattern with the designer brand. Also–fashion (along with home decor, office supplies, household goods, etc) is literally filled with different versions of the same thing…allowing the consumer to decide on the right combination of price point and quality for them.
The cap sleeve lace dress looks really good on you! Will have to try it once it comes back in my color and size! Thanks for sharing!
I have a work conference in Denver this week and was looking for a coat option to wear over my biz apparel. I’m going to try out that black belted coat. Fingers crossed that it works! <3
I think you’ll be very impressed!! Safe travels!
What color and brand is your nail polish in this post? It is so pretty.
Thank you! It’s a shade from Kendra Scott, but it must be discontinued bc I don’t see it anymore!!!
Cassie:
I ordered the navy cap sleeve dress and sandals that you suggested for my niece’s wedding next month. Both are fantastic. What earrings and bag would you style with them?
I’m so happy to hear that, Denise! I love gold jewelry for that, and a pop of color would be fun for the bag!
I’ve been scouring your blog for a link to the wallpaper in the background of all the pics. It is so cute! Can you share?
Hi Erin! I’m excited to share the full office reveal soon! But the paper is from Drop It Modern!
