Amazon Fashion Finds | August

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! We have zero plans, which feels a little foreign after the last few chaotic weeks of college prep and move-in! My only goal as of now is to get lost in this new book!

It’s so odd to see all the first day of school pics and back-to-school posts, knowing I’m out of that season now! Sure, Sloan will have a first day (and hopefully send me a pic), but gone are the days when I wake early to get someone out the door, sign endless papers, or schedule dinner around school and sports! Basically I’m now living in perpetual Summer Break… and that does not suck!

Rather than feeling bummed about the season coming to an end, I’m focusing on the fun we’ll have this fall! Assuming fall ever arrives, since it looks like we’ll have a couple more months of summer weather. I’m not too mad about it, summer fashion is my favorite! But maybe we could drop below triple digits?! Temps in the 90s will feel practically balmy after the summer we’ve had!

I can hardly believe another month has passed, but today it’s time for your favorite series, my Amazon Fashion Finds! I started these Fashion Finds over 7 years ago, and they quickly became reader faves. It takes some intense digging to find the good stuff, but I love the challenge of discovering such gems!

Sizing info: I’m 5’4″ 125-ish pounds, and usually wear an XS and 26 jeans. My fit tips and sizing recommendations are included with each description.

Dresses //

This look-for-less style is similar to the Tuckernuck dress I shared HERE! I love the classic shirt dress style, with fun drop hem and pockets. This version is a lightweight poly, and runs a touch shorter.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS dress, but would prefer a size Small for more length and a little more room under the arms.

This dress literally stopped me in my tracks… it’s gorgeous! And the quality is as impressive as the style! Made of a thick satin, it feels like butter on, with a flowy shape and a ruffled halter neckline. You could easily dress it up with a heel and big jewels for a special occasions.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small dress, but could also do my usual XS, so no need to size up.

We’re toasting our parental success in Mexico next week, and this dress is already in my bag! I’m crazy for the print and silhouette, and it’s a super-soft jersey. The ruching across the top is super flattering and comfy, and I love the chic pocket placement.

Another easy ‘YES’, this tank dress has a ribbed cotton top with lots of stretch, and full, flowy skirt. It’s darling alone, and easily layered as a transitional piece later this season.

I’ve shared this dress before, but couldn’t resist in this incredible new print! It’s super lightweight, with smocking across the back for a comfy fit. It’s fitted at the top with adjustable straps, and a full skirt.

Another fun cut-out option, this dress has a flattering wrap front and ties in the back for a custom fit.

This maxi was a quick ‘yes!’ for me, and I’ve already worn it out for date night! It has a smocked top with adjustable straps, and a soft, flowing skirt. Grab it in fall colors and add a jacket, it’s a great transition piece.

I have this print in a maxi skirt (found HERE), and love it so much, I was excited to see it on a new wrap dress. It’s silky soft and lightweight, with a full wrap style. The flutter sleeves cover the upper arms, and the belted waist is so flattering. I love the darker colors for fall transition, too.

How fun is the silhouette of this dress?! You’d never guess it’s an Amazon find! I love the print and puff sleeves, with subtle cut-outs at the waist. The material won’t win any quality awards, but the price and trendy style make up for it.

Hello, sassy! This cute little dress is perfect for a night out, parties, concerts, and more. It has an adjustable shoulder tie, and the cutest mini pleats and tiers. It’s fully lined, as well. I’d wear it with my go-to strapless bra found HERE.

If you’re on the hunt for fall styles, I noticed this favorite dress is finally back-in-stock! I wear it in warmer months with sandals and slides, and transition it to booties when it starts to cool. It’s cute for concerts, too.

It’s hard to believe this darling top is an Amazon find! Made of a quality eyelet cotton, the body is lined and the buttons are operational. I love the loose, full sleeves, and button front. I already owned the pink, but had to grab the red for football weekends in Oklahoma!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small blouse, but it’s a generous fit, no need to size up.

An easy romper in soft jersey, it’s perfect with sandals, sneakers, and even over a swimsuit. It’s bra-friendly with an elastic, drawstring waist, and full leg openings.

Another darling romper/jumpsuit option, I’d wear this one over a swimsuit… or layer it over a fitted tank or tee for running around town. It’s super-soft and stretchy, with adjustable straps and fun wide legs.

I also noticed one of my favorite jumpsuits is finally back! This cotton-twill is darling with sandals or booties, and the perfect transitional style. It’s soft with a flattering, easy-to-wear fit.

I shared this set in another color months ago, but didn’t love it… until I picked my friend Suzie up at the airport and she was wearing it in this pink! And then I instantly ordered it and have worn it countless time since! Yes, I feel a bit like the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man, but it’s so crazy comfy, and dang it, it’s cute!!! I seriously get so many compliments every time I wear it!

This set has gone viral, and with good reason! It’s identical to the pricey Free People set, and the quality is so good! The pants have a fun ‘hammer style’ that are somehow super-comfy and flattering! I love the drop shoulder sweater, and have also paired it with this skirt.

The shorts set is fun, but I didn’t love the fit of the shorts on me… I think they’re best-suited for someone with less curves.

I have this set in ‘apricot’ and it’s been a fave this season. I wear it as a set with sandals or sneakers for running around, and toss the oversized shirt on over a swimsuit. It’s so soft and lightweight, I also love it as loungewear around the house. It’s a keeper!

If you prefer a thicker material, this set is a heavier sweatshirt style, with a pull-on elastic short and cute collar. It’s a relaxed fit, and would be cute with sneakers, too.

This darling little set has the sweetest floral print, with stretchy ruffled straps, and easy pull-on shorts. It’s a lightweight poly material that’s a little crisp.

Another look-for-less, these pajamas look so similar to the pricier Lake brand! Made of a jersey poly blend, they aren’t quite as soft (after all, Lake is made of pima cotton!), but they’re soft and comfy, and the price is great!

Swim & Cover-Ups //

This look-for-less is pretty much a dead-ringer for the Tuckernuck coverup! I haven’t tried the real one in person to compare the fabrics, but this one is definitely on the thinner side… making it more suitable as a swim cover than a dress. I just love the longer sleeve and pop of pink and tomato.

Y’all loved this cover-up all last summer (see it HERE), so I had to try another color… and yep, I love it too! It’s a sturdy crochet style, with loose sleeves and the perfect length for keeping everything covered.

Another combo you saw in Bora Bora (see it HERE and HERE), and so good it needed a permanent spot in our Amazon Hauls! The bikini is fully lined, and actually fully covers the chest and bum!! The quality is great, too!

And the sarong is probably a Top 5 find of the summer… it looks incredibly chic and expensive, but is only $20! It washes and dries beautifully, and is so soft. It also folds down to nothing, making it great for packing.

Fit Tip: I always size up in swimsuits, but this bikini runs large (trust me!), so I’m wearing a size XS.

Activewear //

These shorts have overtaken my workout drawer… I’ve replaced every other style with them!! Similar to lululemon, but in tons of colors and a fraction of the price. They have a longer inseam to keep everything fully covered, with a built-in liner and even a little zipper pocket.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small in both tanks and shorts.

Another new fave, this tennis skirt is an absolute winner! I’ve been looking for one that’s simple and streamlined, with just a touch of pleat for a flirty fit… and this one is perfect! It’s high waisted and has the built-in short, too. It’s great with this ribbed tank with built-in bra, but I’ve also been wearing this muscle tank on repeat!

Athletic dresses are all the rage now, and I’m here for them! They make getting dressed so easy, with a top and skirt in one! Both of these come with a separate biker short with pockets (I prefer when they aren’t connected, for easier on-and-off), and are quality lycra.

I love the mock-neck and quarter zip of the pink, but it does require a separate bra. The lilac one is a touch longer with a racerback, and has a built-in bra.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS pink dress and size Small purple dress. I sized down half in the sneakers.
