Dressing Room Diaries | July

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! I’ll be busy opening packages from my dorm room panic-shopping for Sloan, along with these look-for-less styles I found for me, ha! Sloan has been fairly laidback about shopping for her dorm room, but something in me absolutely needs to have it feel comfy and cozy for her.

I know many of you can relate, and know I’m feeling this blender of emotions right along with you! I’ve been sharing a little bit of my heart about her departure on Instagram… it’s saved HERE if you want to commiserate.

Today I’ve got a fun Dressing Room Diaries for you, and it’s chock-full of so many new finds, just perfect for all your Summer fun. The new arrivals are coming in hot, and they are caaa-uuuuuute! So let’s get started…

Christmas in July Sale //

Before we get into the cute clothes, we have to talk about my all-time favorite skincare brand having the mother of all sales! That’s right, Colleen Rothschild is kicking off her Christmas in July Sale with 25% off site-wide with code JULY25!

Everyday Dresses //

This linen dress had me at pink and red! But really, could it be any cuter?! Made of a thick linen, it’s fully lined and easily dresses up or down.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size XS.

I wore this on Instagram Stories last week, and the link requests came flying in! Not only is it the cutest print and shades of green, but it’s so flowy and easy to wear. I love the tall collar and drop hem, and the silver snaps up the front are so fun.

This maxi looks like separates, but is actually a dress. The top is a stretchy, ribbed knit with mock neck, and the skirt a gorgeous pleated satin that moves so beautifully. I’m crazy for the colors, too.

This preppy shirtdress was an immediate yes for me. Made of a lightweight cotton, the chambray color is perfection, with pockets and an easy, A-line shape.

Talk about a great look-for-less… this popular style retails for three times as much at Tuckernuck! Made of a sturdy cotton, it buttons up the front with a belted waist and pockets. The red is a gorgeous shade, as well. Mama Sugarplum texted me ‘DIBS’ the second she saw me share it, ha!

A great little throw-on-and-go dress, this rayon blend is lightweight, soft, and cool. It has ruffled details at the shoulders, tassel ties, and comfy smocked waist.

Another great fit-and-flare shirt dress, this one is a sturdy cotton with fun stripes. The waist is fitted for a really flattering shape, but without stretch, I’d size up if you carry weight through the middle.

Resort & Special Occasion Dresses //

This silhouette may look familiar… I wore it in a different print to the Wedding Weekend in Lamu, Kenya (see that HERE). It’s truly one of my favorite dresses I’ve ever worn (I got so many compliments, too!), so I’m thrilled to see it back in this fun, new print! It’s silky and flowy, with a flutter sleeve and elastic trim at the waist.

Skirts //

This two-piece set is beyond fun! Made of a crisp cotton, the skirt has a pull-on style with elastic waist, and the one-shoulder top an elastic strap and trim for comfy fit. Wear them together, or break them up as fun separates.

We’re nearing the final days of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and there are still so many great finds. (See all my top picks HERE.) This sweater vest is a soft cotton cable knit, so cute with denim or skirts. This floral skirt is gauzy and light, with an elastic waist… the colors are perfect for wearing now and transitioning to fall.

Tops //

I could not be any more smitten with this top! A crisp cotton with peplum hem, it has a full sleeve and the cutest scallop trim. Good luck choosing between the pink and green!

I’ve worn this set twice in a week… it’s that comfy! I love the tall neck and quarter zip, and the shorts have a great longer length and pull-on style.

This romper had me at gauzy pink! Made of the lightest gauze cotton, it has an elastic waist with adjustable drawstring. The inseam is longer for great coverage, plus it’s fully lined.

Another great set that’s been on repeat (at least until Sloan steals it from me!)… these lightweight pants are a French Terry material, with wide leg and elastic waist. Pair them with the matching crewneck, or this darling fitted tank.
