Amazon Fashion Finds | August

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend!! How was your week? We’re officially back to a family of three at home, and wowza the house is quiet! Mr. College was always playing or listening to music, usually with an overload of bass, so his absence is really obvious.

Little Miss had her first full week of remote school, and I think she’s starting to find a rhythm. I hope so anyway, because I’m literally no help since the curriculum passed me years ago, ha! We sit together while we work sometimes, and we both appreciate the company. How is life in your house these days?

Today is time for your favorite monthly series, Amazon Fashion Finds! I started these Fashion Finds over two years ago, and they quickly became reader-faves. It takes some intense digging to find the good stuff, but I love the challenge of discovering such gems! And remember, I’d never share anything with you that I wouldn’t wear myself, or recommend to my best friend!

This month I’m focusing on pieces to wear now, but also transition to the coming season. But warning: It’s a good one!

Sizing info: I’m 5’4″ 120-ish pounds, and usually wear an XS/0 and 26 jeans. My fit tips and size recommendations are included with each description. 

 

Tops & Tees //

This classic button-up shirt (or button-down? Which do you say?) has a great fit, with a feminine cut. The collar is petite and the shoulders fitted, and is a really nice quality cotton. It comes in a ton of colors and patterns, and can be worn out or tucked. A total steal at under $25!

I’m clearly having a moment with puff sleeve tops, because this post is chock full of them! I love the elbow length, and the little puff at the shoulder adds just enough feminine detail. This one is a thick and stretchy knit, with good stretch and extra soft. It comes in several solid colors, and some fun prints.

Finish the summer with some fun…this one-shoulder top is a quality linen blend, in the cutest stripes. The bow on the shoulder is a little overkill in my opinion, but easily snipped off without compromising the top.

I wore this pullover twice this week, so it must be love! Made of a thick, stretchy knit, it feels a bit like sweatshirt, but with more drape. It has a sporty hood and elbow sleeves, with a side slit. Wear it with jeans and shorts, or throw it on with athletic wear…it’s cute and sporty.

I adore this pretty top, just perfect for work and Zoom calls, but soft enough for everyday wear, too. It’s a flowy woven material, with a ruffled collar and ruched puffed sleeve. Easily dresses up with trousers or a skirt, and so cute under a blazer, too. It comes in 10 great solids, and these fun dots.

Oh hey, lookie there…another elbow-sleeve top! I can’t get enough of this silhouette! It’s so chic and modern, and the length extra-flattering on the arms. This one is a poly-blend, which doesn’t feel as great as the first option, but I do love the large leopard pattern and $20 price tag!

Here’s a look at these great tops styled for work. I found these pull-on paperbag pants earlier this year, and love the fun fit and style.

Here’s a great transitional top, perfect for wearing at home or out. Made of a super-soft and thick fleecy-knit, it’s long enough to cover the bum, and bra-friendly with a drop shoulder. Wear it with jeans, leggings or joggers. I love the short-sleeve for early fall days.

I think I’ve shared this top before, but I had so many questions after wearing it in Stories this week, I figured it needed a second appearance. A soft woven material, it’s got a feminine ruffle at the neck, and pretty flutter sleeves. The drop waist makes it easy to wear, and I love the longer length with skinny jeans.

This top is a little big on me, but the pattern and shape was too fun not to share. I love the leopard in a fresh green and blue, and the button-front to tie-waist. The sleeves are full-length with a bracelet hem, but I prefer them pulled up. It’s made of a sturdy fabric suitable for Fall.

Okay, I found a few graphic tees that are soft and fun…and this one gives me Disney vibes! I love the cuffed arm, too.

Summer Sweaters //

We’re still several weeks away from cooler temps, but they’re coming! I love when the evenings are cool, but the days warm and sunny, don’t you? This is the perfect summer to fall sweater, in 100% cotton and a slightly taller crewneck. It has a great casual fit, that looks effortless chic.

This cardigan is another 100% cotton find, in a chunky weave and perfect length for covering the bum. I love the open drape and deep side pockets. Throw it on over a tank and shorts now, or pair it with booties later.

Dresses //

For my girls with a lot of summer left, I found some fun and flirty dresses to finish your season strong! This pull-on dress is a stretchy smock on top with adjustable tie straps, and flowing skirt. It comes in several colors, but this yellow just makes me happy!

This apron dress is a thick linen-blend with operational buttons and a tie-waist. I love the length and subtle stripe. Add a cropped cardigan when the temps start to drop.

My love for house dresses continues, and this one makes the cut! Made of the silky soft material that glides and moves so easily, it has adjustable straps, pockets, and a slight high-low hem.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small, but have the straps tightened almost all the way. Go up only if in-between.

How about a classic wrap dress for work or weekend? This silhouette is wildly flattering, with a side tie and ruching across the middle. It’s made of a stretchy matte jersey, that hugs your curves without clinging. I love the little cap sleeve, too. Comes in a ton of patterns and colors, and one of my all-time fave Amazon dresses.

Same print as the top above, this easy dress is made of soft crepe. Fully-lined, it flows and moves beautifully, with a ruffle neck and flutter sleeves. Wear it belted, or as a sheath dress. It just as cute with sandals as heels, making it an easy and versatile work to weekend option.

Pajamas //

It wouldn’t be an Amazon Haul without pjs…and this set is darling! It’s made of a poly-blend, that’s soft, but a little stiff. The pull-on shorts have a cute ruffle trim, and the top is long.

Back to that whole lake life thing…this hat is a must for days on the water! It’s fully-embroidered and distressed, and comes in several fun color combos.

I used to reserve crossbody bags mostly for travel, but lately I prefer them for the everyday. It holds just the necessities, and I can keep it on me (rather than setting in a shopping cart, etc). These two styles are great finds…just big enough for wallet, phone, sunglasses, etc…and both under $25!

I love to swap out the strap on the quilted one (it has a removable strap) for these fun stripes! These straps are incredible quality, with adjustable length.
