{Yum} Oreo Cookie Bark

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The Christmas tree is decorated, the fire is going, carols are playing on repeat….and the Kitchen is bursting with the smells of all our favorite treats! If you’ve been following this blog for a bit, then you know I’m more of a ‘preparer’ than a ‘cooker.’ Basically, I’m a whiz at mixing up simple stuff.

And sweet treats are my favorite…remember these ridiculously-good yummies? And of course the Christmas Crack that made so many worship, and yet curse, me!? 😉

Well, here we are, still in early December, and I’ve already made this OREO Cookie Bark four times. Yes, four.

Hi Sugarplum | Oreo Cookie Bark Recipe

It’s pretty much the simplest sweet treat you can make, and the topping options are endless as your creativity.

Hi Sugarplum | Oreo Cookie Bark Recipe

{What You Need}
1 package White Chocolate Chips
15 OREOS
3 Candy Canes
{What You Do}
* Crush the peppermints & coarsely chop the cookies
* Melt the chocolate chips (I use this method)
* Spread the melted chocolate on a parchment-lined pan or cookie sheet
* Sprinkle with cookies & peppermint, lightly press into the chocolate
* Refrigerate 1-2 hours, or until set
* Break into pieces & try not to eat the entire batch in one sitting

Git in mah belly!

You could add any dry toppings you’d like…pretzels, candy bars, sea salt, coconut…the list goes on. And did you know OREO has a rainbow of flavor options, too? My next batches will be with the OREO Mint Cream Cookies, and the new limited-edition Gingerbread Flavored OREO Cookies (available only at Target!). How delicious does that sound?!?

If you’re able to save a batch, fill a festive container for a sweet gift, too.

If you make one bark during this holiday season, it should be one with all your favorite flavors in one bite! That’s why this simply delicious recipe is so perfect. Cool, refreshing peppermint and crunchy, delicious OREOs in a bath of chocolate…it doesn’t get much yummier! What are you whipping up this season?

  2. Could I eat this right now for breakfast if I had a couple of pieces of bacon with it?

    • You just invented my next bark…bacon! Everything's better with bacon, including Oreos, right?! 😉

    You just made me hate you all over again. I'd barely forgiven you for Crack! Of course I pinned it and am thinking of making it for gifts this Christmas season….

    • Haha…I was hating myself while shoving large amounts of both this and the crack back, in a very un-ladylike manner!! 😉

  5. Cassie, did those cute containers come from Target too? If so what section? I made your christmas crack all season long and gave it to everyone as a gift last year. This seems like a great update! Thank you!

    Yum. I could make a gluten free version with TJ's Gluten Free Joe Joes (the peppermint ones are the BEST).

  10. Hmmm, delish! I just bought 2 pkgs of the Christmas Oreos ~ red cream filling. Won't that be pretty? Thinking of adding a bit of sea salt, omitting the peppermint and…..still thinking. 🙂 The jars are adorable!

    LOVE Crack! I make that every year and no complaints from anyone.
