Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Mine was about as uneventful as weekends can get, which I suppose is exactly what I’m supposed to be doing these days. We finally got a break from the heat, and I guarantee the weather is all everyone in Dallas will be talking about this week!

But after 50+ days of over 100-degree days, I think we’ve earned the right to go on (and on!) about finally having temps in the 80s! How’s the weather going in your area? Is it feeling like fall for anyone yet?

Let’s get to today’s post… I’ve got a hodgepodge of life lately, so here’s this month’s This & That…

Back To School & Football Frenzy //

The kids started back to school recently… both in their senior years! I can’t believe they’ll be graduating from high school and college next May! I think that calls for an epic trip, don’t you?!

I’m all too familiar with this ‘year of lasts’, but I’m trying to stay focused on all the fun and excitement of her senior year, rather than being anxious about what’s to follow. #emptynest

I’m just so proud of them, and beyond grateful to see them both happy and thriving!

Mr. College was in town for Labor Day… and it was extra fun to kick off OU football season with him! His darling girlfriend lives near us, so fingers crossed we’ll be seeing more of them this year! I’ll be watching the season from home this year, so I scooped up these fun things to make it more festive.

Pinkie //

In other not-so-fun news from the last month, I *thought* I sprained my ankle on a nasty fall… but after a week of walking on it, turns out it’s broken. (I slipped on some stairs whilst wearing banana leaf slippers… that were, not-so-surprisingly, super slippery!) If I have to wear a cast, I figured I’d keep it on brand though! Meet Pinkie…

Wide Legs For The Win //

I’ve spent most of the last two weeks in Vuori shorts (these to be exact), but when I do get dressed, I’m extra grateful for wide leg pants! They easily slide over Pinkie, and help me feel a little more like myself.

Giddy For Greens //

I’m three months in with my daily AG1, and I’m completely hooked!! I love starting my day with it, and knowing I’m getting a full dose of 75 vitamins and minerals, plus probiotics and prebiotics! What I’ve Read Lately //

I recently finished Beach Read by Emily Henry, and it was the perfect end-of-summer read! It’s about two authors dealing with writer’s block, and they challenge the other to write a book in each other’s genre… a gritty fiction for her, and chick-lit for him.

Similar to the author’s other hit, Book Lovers, the characters are easy to love and the banter between them is charming and laugh-out-loud witty.

I just started The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston, and it’s a quirky one… too soon to know how much I’ll enjoy it.
